@@SocialTrading - oh by the way I was with my mum and sister the other day - - my sister is middle ged. It seems to me that they are both excessive consumers of products and tech marketed with the female consumer in mind. I asked them which companies they felt should be doing well and they came up with an interesting list. Later I looked for a woman copy trader to add to my copies who might reflect some of these choices. I found Sharon Connolly from Sydney Australia. How about a review on Sharon?
thank you so much. it helps me a lot, i'm on the process of learning forex trading i keep watching your videos. hopefully i will be a good trader like you. more video to be watch.

Great info! You may want to take the bracelet off or sit on your hands during recording. Bracelet tinkling sound very distracting. I do really appreciate the video.
Thank you , your videos are so helpful and clear. Wanted to ask you if possible. When copying a trader who mainly deals in stocks, is there an average stop loss ratio % you would advice?
Thank you :) I generally see what I'm comfortable risking, but also try to work out what the max drawdown is for that trader. Do they have a target in mind for the maximum they're prepared to lose? I ask them directly on their feed, so that I can get a more realistic view of the losses that trader is prepared to take, and what I can expect. I then think about setting my copy stop loss in relation to that. I made a video which covers some of this in a way: ruclips.net/video/cx3Kc3M2Jxg/видео.html&ab_channel=SocialTradingVlog
awesome content i would ask you about the price that i will get back when i stop copy trading in other words will my money return as the person who i copy traded by or it will be get back to me with the price of the market when it opens thanks in advance
Thank you for your help. Your explanation is so easy to understand. I just want to know if there is a risk involve in copying a trader in terms of leverages? If the trader I'm copying used a leverage say 50x, would that be copied as well to my portfolio?
Yeah I know :) I sound like a belly dancer or something every time i move my arm ... It wasn't so bad before but I added a new one in between the other two and now it's got a bit much... I'm on it.
I do enjoy your v Blog. And I have a question. If I 'pause copy' on a copy trader, I assume that means I will not copy any more trades, does that also mean that the 'red' trades cannot be closed by the copy trader until the TP point is reached?
Hey there Michael - as far as i know it just means you won't open any of the new trades they open until you un-pause the copy... The existing trades should still mirror whatever the person you're copying does with them. That would include closing them. (I think)
Social Trading Vlog Thank you. The issue is about the best way to close a copy. If one just closes, then the red options will close too. But if one pauses copy then I assume the options can all be closed when they reach green, maximising profit when closing a copy. Just trying to work out the best way. Your Vlogs have been a great help by the way. 😊
Yeah, if you just pause it, it gives them the chance to close the existing positions whenever they think it's best... But it also might take a while for all the positions to be closed and your money to be freed up to spend on other things. It's about how long you can wait in that case really.
Hello there question here is do we need to remove the profit and add it to the original fund or no just leave it in there and it will earn profit while it is there, so if need to be removed how to remove part of the profit or maybe even all of it and add it to the original fund for a bigger fund and obviously for bigger profit ???
Thank you for the great vid. I just have a question, when is the best time to stop copying the traders that copied? Mm copied traders are doing well and they perform well, all of them are in green color. Do I need to close them and recopy again or shall I remove some of the traded stocks manually (which I dont want to take the trust that I gave them in my investment)?. The scenario is like this, i invested $250 to someone and now it is already $280 for a week. Then I want to get the amount which grew to $30. Do I need to close him and recopy or shall I just remove stocks manually to increase my actual money? I hope you can enlighten me with your thoughts. Thank you!
Your trade will close when the trader closes their trade. If you trust your trader, then it would make sense not to close your trades manually before they do.
When using a compound interest calculator/forecaster, what is the compound interval? I'm trying to workout what putting 2k in a month will yeild in a year's time. Does it depend on the copytrader's buying interval? I'd love to set 'daily' as that would mean big profits, but I'm guessing it's not daily...
Well there isn't really a compound interval as there might be in other financial instruments... With copy trading it depends on how often the trader we're copying makes profit, closes the trade, and reinvests the profits into new trades. And they may actually hold back on the amount of their capital that they're actively investing at any given time - for instance maybe they're keeping money out of the markets as it seems too risky for a time or due to other factors... I think of the people I'm copying as a sort of fund. As the fund makes money, the money stays within the fund to be potentially used in future trades, depending on what the fund manager decides... In this case the fund would be the money we're copying the trader with, and the trader would be the fund manager. Ish... So it's hard to set a compounding interval really, as it all depends on what the trader's doing and how much of their funds they're actively deploying in trades.
@@SocialTrading Thanks for the info. I'm planning on investing 2k a month in order to have enough for a deposit for a house in a year or so's time. I plan to invest in the traders that have the highest yeild over 1-2 years, which is have returns of between 150-450%. Also a few of the high yeild crypto funds that also return up to 450%. My plan is to be fine with the ebbs and flows of the economy and just wait until I have enough for the deposit I want, which I'm planning on being between 30-50k. I know is is ambitious, and dangerous, but if I play the long game, surely I can only win? Please do tell me if this is a crazy idea. My plan in more detail: to spend 1k on a copy portfolio, and £200 on five traders a month. This way, month-to-month I am diversifying and reducing my risk as I'll be working my way down the sorted list of high interest traders. I will be going for traders that trade each month,;frequently active making lots of trades. I don't want to follow one trader that made a big return on a few trades over a year.
Morning Thomas, Hope you are well.. Can you answer the following. When I look at the Annual Performance figures for traders ; the final annual % is always higher than the sum of each of the 12 months for example ... JeppeKIRKBonde results for 2017 show the final Annual return as 148.05% however if you just add up the months individually it calculates at a lower return of 100.21%. This discrepancy (difference) is on every traders performance figures that I have looked at. Can this be explained. Many Thanks.
Hi George - might it be the fact that the interest is compounding? So if you have 100, and you make 5%, then you have 105. if the next month you make 5%, then you have 5% of 105, which is larger, and on and on through the year... I think that's what's happening there.
I think it's more of, equity. The 148% Is the overall ROI. Which is the true ROI. Inside the traders portfolio, the profits are shown by months, but it actually is the equity from start of the month to end of the month, due to withdrawal between the month, the equity may vary at the end of the month. And will not be relative to the profit gained during that month.
I'm new here, I hope you will notice me. Should I set a take profit ? if yes, when should I take profit? every month or every week ? Thankyou in advance.
Hi Sir, the profits we see in our copy trading portfolio are unrealized profits (paper gain) yet. We can still lose some of it in the days to come. My point here is how to make those unrealized profits turn to realized profits to secure them aside? Thanks.
Brilliant Video - answered a few of my burning questions! One query I have is, when I add new funds to a copy, should I pause or stop copying and then re-start? Thanks again for your great info!
Hi there Dave, firstly thanks :) I definitely wouldn't pause the copy if you're adding funds (unless I've missed something quite important there!) Pausing the copy would mean you aren't copying the new trades they're making, so it would mean it's going to take even longer to get the new funds you've added to be used up in active trades. Maybe you're thinking it will sort of build up a pool of cash and then Boooom you unleash it all by resuming the copy and the trade sizes are bigger... But Etoro recalculates the amount you're copying a trader with all the time (well very frequently at least) so the new funds you've added will mean larger trade sizes straight away. I've heard the question before though about whether, if you're adding a lot of new funds, it makes sense to stop the copy , add the funds, and re-open the copy with "copy open trades" so that all of your money is sued up instantly in active trades. It's a maths problem really ... A. It depends who it is you're copying - I mean if you look at Jay, he's opening 37 new trade per week (or thereabouts - i'm sure it fluctuates from week to week), but if that's true, the he'll be using up those new funds pretty quickly I'd imagine. But if you're copying a trader who hold assets for 3 months at a time and only makes 1.5 new trades per week, then it'll take quite a while to use up your new funds in new active trades. Check it at the bottom of their stats page and see... If you close and re-open, you'll be paying all the spread fees again which isn't great - but it's a maths thing - is the loss in repaying spread fees outweighed by the value of having all your money used instantly vs waiting (by just adding the new funds to an existing copy and waiting for it to be used up) Essentially it's almost the same question as "Do I copy open trades" in some ways which is all a maths problem. I made a video about that one, but in the end you've got to work out the maths and the variables for that specific trader (how often do they trade etc) In the end end end, I think it's best to look at overall track record for the trader - we copy them because of long term profit trends - how much did they make in a year, rather than short term stuff. With that in mind, it sort of softens the panic of the decision about this stuff. Either way, we're looking for slow steady gains, so it's not about micro-analysing the maths of the situation (although if you're capable of it, that's awesome), or worrying too much (unless they trade once a week which would be frustrating to have to wait for). Hope that helps a little - sorry I can't give more definitive experience there.
Hey Thomas, Wow, thanks for your extremely detailed response! I wasn't planning on making any particular gain over the situation, just wondered if it was usual practice or not as I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ's etc. I'm not capable of the math so I'll just add the new funds and leave eToro to it! I add new funds every 2-4 weeks, just gonna keep doing that and leave it to it :) Thanks again, you do a great job! Dave
Hi Ben - yeah, I made a video about that (ish) but it was one of the first I made so it's a bit slow, and the sound's no good but I've forwarded it to the bit where I start to talk about how they get paid : ruclips.net/video/XSEB3yNHP_Q/видео.html . Basically, the people we copy are all paid by Etoro rather than by us. You can find details of their perks here, on Etoro's 'popular Investors' page (that's what the people we copy are called) : etoro.tw/2AuEwG3 . The more copiers they have the more they can get things like their spread fees returned (or percentages of them), and they can get a percentage of all the assets under their management (referred to as AUM) and they can actually get monthly payments for education or promotion and stuff, so it's a pretty good system for them.
Question... Why can't we simply withdrawal the profit and leave the initial investment as it is.?? If I removed the the funds Would it be gonna affect with the future trades?? Example Invest $100 and the profit is $50. I will remove the $50. Now my investment goes down to $50 + profit $50(Still shows under my profit) . So in a future trade will etoro use both my investment ($50) with the profit($50)= $100???
Just a question. When I look at the persons that I'm copying, there're 2 amounts, 1 in open trades and 1 in closed trades. I suppose that only the profit from the open trades is reinvested at the end of each day? But I suppose that I can't take the profit from the closed trades out, unless I stop copying?
you can, yeah, but it may defeat the purpose of a passive strategy... At least for me, I don't want to have to police or second-guess the people I'm copying.

Useless you will NEVER get your money out. If it goes to a million you will only LOOK AT IT. No withdraws I bet they will close it down and steal it all. They won't give me a cent and MANY are getting screwed..
Great video, thanks for the explanation! :) one question though, if I invested 100$ in copying a person and I've made a $100 profit. Can I withdraw my initial $100 investment? If yes, how do I do that? You mentioned you recommend to not "remove funds" so just wanted to understand this better.
I just watched your video and while it is very helpful I would like help on my thinking. I invested 10k and I want to remove the profits every month ( I am optimistic and I expect to have gains every month about 10%). Remove funds will not be an option because my trader uses all of my money. What is the best way to do that? 1. Stop copy, withdraw the funds that are profits, then recopy 2. Pause copy, wait until the profit amount is accumulated back to my balance, then un-pause 3. Close trades manually ( but I really don't want to do that because it would diverse from copied investors strategy) Is there any other way to do it? I would greatly appreciate your input on that.
Hi there, I made a video which addresses some of this (apologies for the sound, it was the second video i think) ruclips.net/video/XSEB3yNHP_Q/видео.html. Basically, the people we copy get incentives from Etoro the more people they have copying them. we don't pay the people we copy directly.
Good day! I recently subscribed as your videos are really helpful. Specially to those who are just starting to learn online trading like me. Just a question regarding the availability of the exchanges. I understand that share prices fluctuate from time to time, so what would be the prize that will take in when you close/open a trade if the relevant exchange is not available? Will it be the prize at the time your transaction takes place or the prize when they actually process your transaction? Thanks.
The price when they process it as far as I know. When you try to open a trade when the markets are closed, your trade actually become an 'at market order' as far as I'm aware. This means that it's an order to execute your trade at the first market price available. If there's been some big news around the asset pre-market, this can be a big difference either up or down sometimes.
Thanks man, yeah I do think their fees are high - it's one of the most common complaints.. Well actually their spread fees, rather than the others (although people do complain about the $25 withdrawal fee too, but you can lessen the impact of that by not withdrawing small amounts often ... still it's a hassle though). I don't know what to say about the spread fees - they are just high. It was copytrading that brought me to Etoro (i was looking for bot (algorithmic) trading but couldn't find it) and I looked at some other copytrading sites and they just didn't look anywhere near as good as Etoro, so I stuck here, and just started learning about trading from various other sites and videos, but for my actual trading I've stuck to this so far - if you find some others which you think are better, let me know - I haven't so far. I have signed up for quite a few crypto exchanges recently to see what they're about and because Etoro offers quite a limited choice of cryptos, but they're a very different thing and still don't offer copytrading which I like a lot. I think the next big change will be decentralised exchanges, but they don't exist just yet either... I think someone said plus500 offers leveraged crypto trading but that sounds like a recipe for disaster for me (I tend to lose money when i use too much leverage) so I haven't gone and checked, and it might be rubbish anyway... There are loads of straight manual trading platforms to choose from, but, again - it's copytrading which most interests me so I've not got into them.
I only use eToro for copy trading right now... when you're opening and closing trades manually, you can either close the whole trade and then your original investment plus any profits or minus any losses will be returned to your available balance, or you can partially close the trade - so close a portion of it, and leave the rest open. The part you close will go back to your available balance and you can do whatever you want with it.
Quick Question guys there seems to be no info on the following however simple (I think)?? My dad has invested around £800 in Nokia however he wants to withdraw the lot to his bank acocunt ie (Withdrawable balance) .However it says avaible funds to withdraw are 96p ? the rest of the money is under the Equity section . Quetion how can he move this from equity to withdrable ballance so he can close this investment permenently ? Any help or support would be amazing and better than Etoro CS !!!!
When the trade is closed, his initial investment, plus any profit, or minus any loss should be moved to his available balance, from where he can withdraw it. Has he closed the trade or is it still open?
Ah... To close a trade, I go to the trade in my portfolio, click on it, (this is on a laptop rather than the mobile app)- on the right hand side of the screen, there'll be a little red X next to the trade. If i click that, it will give me the option to close the whole trade, or only close part of it and leave the rest open... If i choose to close the trade, and the markets are open, it'll close straight away and my investment plus profit or minus loss (and fees/refunds) will be returned to my available balance. If the markets aren't open when i close the trade, then the order to close them will wait until the markets are open again, and will close at the first price it can get when the markets re-open. See here about market opening hours: ruclips.net/video/hzJx-KPvgu8/видео.html

Hi there - Honestly, for anything to do with payments and what Etoro allows and doesn't I'd ask eToro directly as the last thing you want is inaccurate information and problems further down the line... I could say what I think is right, but it does change, and so it's best to check exactly what the situation is now really...
If I stop copy and manually close open trade items, does the amount that goes back to my avail balance includes the profit/loss at the time I closed it?
how do you actually gain or take your profits that the traders are making for you if you don't Stop copying , in your case how do you do it , is there a way I can take the profit without stopping the copy 😊I'm new to this sorry😊
I think you can also use the pause copy option. That should be slower to take back some money. I am not sure though this is the best way . I mean when you unpause are you still in sync?
@@georgeb6147 what I have noticed is that when you invest in a stock and you gain profit of let's say 15$ and you know that the same stock will fall by next week your first instinct is to close that stock so you gain that profit and once it falls you keep investing till it rises back again and same routine over and over, but some copiers and investors keep advising me to keep the funds till each end of the year then I close it At this point I don't know how it works or is my way better or their way
@@MO.AK77 But can you really know when and if the stock will fall and for how long? If you don't have solid information then it is a gamble so you might actually lose the gain when it is going up again.
@@georgeb6147 also true ,my strategy when it comes to copy trading is tame what you can get and re-enter as for stocks I always buy and hold for 1year, I wanna know how to actually profit out of copy trading is it a invest and hold situation or copy and withdraw and re-invest
Hi Thomas, just re-watched your vid again and want to understand the reason why if I've invested, lets say $100, but when I check I only have $75 listed as invested in my copy trade. Where is the $25 difference? Have you previously covered the implications of when it is best to stop copy in order to add new funds or rather just add to the existing trade? I'm sure there must be scenario's when its best to stop copying and restart the copy?
Hi there - it could be because the trader you're copying is keeping 25% of his funds in reserve and not trading with them - in case a good opportunity comes up or because he thinks the markets for the asset he wants aren't quite right now and he's waiting for a better price - your copy account is mirroring his. It could also be because your copy amount is low, and it can't copy some of his trades as to do so would mean you would have to open trades with less than $1 - the minimum you can open a copied trade with is $1. If he places a 0.5% trade on something, it tries to open a trade with 0.5% of the money you copied him with - if that amount is less than $1, then it won't copy that trade. When it's best to stop copy and add funds depends on a number of things - adding fund to a cpy works the same way as when you copy a traders without clicking the "copy open trades" button. It depends how many of his trades are currently profitable or in loss (it will effect your buy price) - if most of his trades are losing and you copy open trades, you'll get a better deal than him - if most of his trades are winning and you copy open trades you'll get a worse price than him. So you'd have to do the maths with the specific trader you're interested in. Mostly though, I'd look at their 'trades per wekk' statistic on their stats page - to see how frequently they open new trades - it will give some indication of how fast your money will be used up in active trades. If you haven't seen the 'should i copy open trades' video, that might make some of what I'm saying a little clearer. Adding funds basically works the same way. if you add funds it's like "don't copy open trades' - if you stop and recopy it's basically all of the implications of starting a fresh copy... ruclips.net/video/hO1zncbWqFM/видео.html
I would like to understand more about losses when copy trading. I understand that you can actually loose more than you have in your balance when you copy someone? So if I have invested 100 dollars at the start I can loose much more? How is that posssible and how can i avoid that? it seems like a big worry for me if I copy someone?
Hi there - It shouldn't be at all likely, unless there's a truly MAASSSSIVVE stock market crash overnight or something. When you copy a new trader, there's an automatic "copy stop loss" which you set, which is basically an amount you specify which says to the system (ETORO) "If this person ever loses me X amount of money, then i want you to automatically close this copy position, and stop me copying him, and return the money i have left to my available account balance" It's a safety switch. The only way you could possibly lose more than you actually used to copy the person is if every asset you're trading via the copy drops catastrophically in price overnight when the markets are closed, and when the markets open, the price is far far below the stop losses that trader set, and therefore all his safety switches don't trigger and he or she losses more than they expected (the trader you're copying will be setting these safety switches called "stop losses" on every trade they make, and therefor you'll also be automatically copying those safety "stop losses" in your trades - except on cryptos as Etoro disabled them on cryptos for now) This is extrememly unlikely though - If it were to happen, it would mean something really bad has happened globally (I think) Not sure if that made much sense... It is theoretically possible, but highly unlikely.
Hey. I am pretty stuck here... I have over $300 equity and it says I only have $23 withdrawable balance. And my investments have increased in profit. No one is replying so I have money sitting there for nothing that I can’t do anything with or get access to? It would be great if anyone can help
Hello Thomas, huge fan 👍 I wanted to ask you a question : I copy traders and every week when these traders make me small amount of profit like 1$ or 2$ I close the trade to gain these profits and re-open with the same traders, the question is it a good idea to close and open every week 😊 or am I doing something wrong without knowing
every time you recopy them you'll be paying all the spread fees on the copied trades... it might be that you're actually losing money by doing that... thanks by the way :)
@@SocialTrading thanks for the reply😁, one last question how do you actually gain/take your profits if you don't take them, in your case how do you do it 😊I'm new to this sorry😊

hi there, you can just close the position from inside your portfolio. go to the trade in question, and to the right of it, you should see the little icons which you can click and close the trade. you can choose to either close the whole position (meaning trade) or you can choose to partially close it - the part you 'close' will be returned to your available balance to do with as you want.

Your videos deserve a lot more views! I like your style and how you actually try to explain your experiences from a rookie's point of view. Good luck in the future! Will be following.

Great video! I started recently and this answered my biggest questions.
Glad it helped :)

Great info! You may want to take the bracelet off or sit on your hands during recording. Bracelet tinkling sound very distracting. I do really appreciate the video.
Thank you for clear explanation about this. Great job 👏 👍

Thanks for that concise explanation. It helps me alot.
(I think)
Social Trading Vlog
Thank you.
Social Trading Vlog Hi so in case I stopped copy , what the amount I will get from each open trade as its always green or red?
@@zdrux how will you know if they already close the trade?
Thank you, video was very useful and it was nicely explained.
Can I set a (take profit) when copying?
I can only see the stop loss option
Very good! I understand so well. Unlike the others!
Thanks.
Did you ever get an answer or work this out. I have to close the entire trade to get profits. Anoying

Thanks :) Pietrelcina in Southern Italy.
Brilliant Video - answered a few of my burning questions!
One query I have is, when I add new funds to a copy, should I pause or stop copying and then re-start?
Thanks again for your great info!
Hi there Dave, firstly thanks :)
I definitely wouldn't pause the copy if you're adding funds (unless I've missed something quite important there!) Pausing the copy would mean you aren't copying the new trades they're making, so it would mean it's going to take even longer to get the new funds you've added to be used up in active trades.
Hey Thomas,
Wow, thanks for your extremely detailed response!
I wasn't planning on making any particular gain over the situation, just wondered if it was usual practice or not as I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ's etc.
I'm not capable of the math so I'll just add the new funds and leave eToro to it!
I add new funds every 2-4 weeks, just gonna keep doing that and leave it to it :)
Thanks again, you do a great job!
Dave
Hello what do the traders that we copy get out of it??
They get a cut somehow?
Cheers man, hope it all goes really well!
Quite happy with your video. Just subscribed
Thanks :)
Where did you get those bracelets from?
Just a question. When I look at the persons that I'm copying, there're 2 amounts, 1 in open trades and 1 in closed trades. I suppose that only the profit from the open trades is reinvested at the end of each day? But I suppose that I can't take the profit from the closed trades out, unless I stop copying?
So can you close specific trades if you feel they won't perform or if you feel the losses are too much?
you can, yeah, but it may defeat the purpose of a passive strategy... At least for me, I don't want to have to police or second-guess the people I'm copying.
Hello I'd like to ask regarding stock trading, if I buy a share and the price falls down, do I need to have money in my account to protect it or is it different from forex trading

Bought 3 copy funds. My crypto fund is up 95%, crazy!
Niiiiiice :)
Useless you will NEVER get your money out. If it goes to a million you will only LOOK AT IT. No withdraws I bet they will close it down and steal it all. They won't give me a cent and MANY are getting screwed..
Have you really not been given your money back yet?
Yes they finally have, all due to getting a hold of someone there and doing some threatening. I know of one person , 2 months! NOTHING..still..
Which copy fund was it?
Great video, thanks for the explanation! :) one question though, if I invested 100$ in copying a person and I've made a $100 profit. Can I withdraw my initial $100 investment? If yes, how do I do that? You mentioned you recommend to not "remove funds" so just wanted to understand this better.
Yes, I also don't understand how to close only the profit
Anything like etoro in the states? And im not talking about the crypto only etoro we have here
I just watched your video and while it is very helpful I would like help on my thinking. I invested 10k and I want to remove the profits every month ( I am optimistic and I expect to have gains every month about 10%). Remove funds will not be an option because my trader uses all of my money. What is the best way to do that?
1. Stop copy, withdraw the funds that are profits, then recopy
2. Pause copy, wait until the profit amount is accumulated back to my balance, then un-pause
3. Close trades manually ( but I really don't want to do that because it would diverse from copied investors strategy)
Is there any other way to do it?
I would greatly appreciate your input on that.
you can take out as much you want or? Or you copy stop take the amount you want and then recopy.
Did you find a successful way to remove profit?
So even when it makes a loss I dont have to do anything? It will all be ok? Pleace can you tell. Thanks.
What is the benefits for the people that we are copying? Is there any conflict of interest for the people who just copying?
Hi there, I made a video which addresses some of this (apologies for the sound, it was the second video i think) ruclips.net/video/XSEB3yNHP_Q/видео.html. Basically, the people we copy get incentives from Etoro the more people they have copying them. we don't pay the people we copy directly.
A very good teacher
Alright. Thank you! 🙂
So if I close a trade in a portfolio of someone I’m copying, where does that money go?
does etoro provide leverage for copy traders though?
Is it possibly to deposit money for another debit card witch is not my but and the platfor is my ???
Keep making those amazing videos...Informative.

Social Trading Vlog No, thank u..
:D
Nice video dude, However Do you think that Etoro's fees is high , and what other platforms do you recommend ! Thanks :G
Very Informative.. Thank you Sir!
Thanks for watching :)
Very helpful mate
Thanks so much :)
Ok and what about when you don't copy traders, but invest in shares or etf, etc yourself?
I only use eToro for copy trading right now... when you're opening and closing trades manually, you can either close the whole trade and then your original investment plus any profits or minus any losses will be returned to your available balance, or you can partially close the trade - so close a portion of it, and leave the rest open. The part you close will go back to your available balance and you can do whatever you want with it.
5:07 maybe we may need take some money out for another lambo trade hehe :D

My dad has invested around £800 in Nokia however he wants to withdraw the lot to his bank acocunt ie (Withdrawable balance) .However it says avaible funds to withdraw are 96p ? the rest of the money is under the Equity section . Quetion how can he move this from equity to withdrable ballance so he can close this investment permenently ? Any help or support would be amazing and better than Etoro CS !!!!
When the trade is closed, his initial investment, plus any profit, or minus any loss should be moved to his available balance, from where he can withdraw it. Has he closed the trade or is it still open?
@@SocialTrading still open. That where we are at we need to get steps on how to close it please.
Amazing that worked. Thank you!!!!. The issue was there was no red X in the app. Sorted it on my laptop. Amazing RUclipsr !!!!!!

Hi there - Honestly, for anything to do with payments and what Etoro allows and doesn't I'd ask eToro directly as the last thing you want is inaccurate information and problems further down the line... I could say what I think is right, but it does change, and so it's best to check exactly what the situation is now really...

I think you can also use the pause copy option. That should be slower to take back some money. I am not sure though this is the best way . I mean when you unpause are you still in sync?
@@georgeb6147 what I have noticed is that when you invest in a stock and you gain profit of let's say 15$ and you know that the same stock will fall by next week your first instinct is to close that stock so you gain that profit and once it falls you keep investing till it rises back again and same routine over and over, but some copiers and investors keep advising me to keep the funds till each end of the year then I close it
At this point I don't know how it works or is my way better or their way

Thanks for the feedback.......look forward to your next installment!!
Thanks :)

Hello Thomas, huge fan 👍
I wanted to ask you a question : I copy traders and every week when these traders make me small amount of profit like 1$ or 2$ I close the trade to gain these profits and re-open with the same traders, the question is it a good idea to close and open every week 😊 or am I doing something wrong without knowing
every time you recopy them you'll be paying all the spread fees on the copied trades... it might be that you're actually losing money by doing that... thanks by the way :)
@@SocialTrading thanks for the reply😁, one last question how do you actually gain/take your profits if you don't take them, in your case how do you do it
😊I'm new to this sorry😊
I need your response... Am a new user of etoro but from your example you only show from a copy trade but my question is how do I take profit from my manual trades ... The options are not complete like in the copy trade.. please answer 🙏
hi there, you can just close the position from inside your portfolio. go to the trade in question, and to the right of it, you should see the little icons which you can click and close the trade. you can choose to either close the whole position (meaning trade) or you can choose to partially close it - the part you 'close' will be returned to your available balance to do with as you want.
