Please clarify what on the main riff is different? I feel like he nailed, and it is awesome to finally grasp what is being played, but the strumming is slightly different before it drops down from the droning E. Are you hearing the same thing?
Spooky Knuckle is right, if you know the riff then you can tell the slight difference in the studio versions main riff and how it's being shown here. I heard it instantly. That's the only reason I started reading comments, to see if anyone would bring it up. First comment did.
@@WayneMandible please listen to the original song again. He is doing his own take on the riff. The Priest riff is quite different in the rhythmic accents.

very few attempt to play stuff like this - main riff you got to be fast to play it right - lead's easier - Judas Priest leads are easier than the rhythm lines I find - although on the surface it's deceptively a slow song
At 11:44 You say it is a simple lick and that it is played four times but that is not the case. , the second and the fourth time it is different. Listen to the original or live at US festival '83 or whatever.

I really quite enjoyed this lesson although that is not how you play the main riff. Other than that, great lesson!

Victim of changes by anthrax
Does any body cover the chord changes after that final line between it and the quiet section?
Everybody skips the part right before it transitions into the, "She was beautiful" part!
and that's what i came here for UGH!
You missed the bridge transition at the roughy the 4:30 mark before it goes I. To the quieter section
