You missed the 4th way to play a card: use it as a one time planet colonization action based on its lower left symbol, then discard it. I’ve now watched 3 tutorial videos of this game and everyone has missed this rule.
I just read the rulebook again and it is correct that there is a 4th way to colonize the specific planet with the matching colour only once and then discard it.
As always, a pleasure to watch your how to .. Probably the best and in in such a short time. Been a fan of yours since that Twilight 3rd edition first came up.
It's really cool you're getting people to approach you about sowing off how to play their games, means you've made it! To a given definition of 'made it'. I can already tell I'm going to house rule something though, I don't think that ties on the prestige board should go to the one on top, because they got there second. I think the person who got there first should have the advantage.
What does the faction card (wudu) with ‘gain one____” for ‘leaf symbol’ mean? Is it gain one____ for each planet I colonized that has a leaf symbol, or is it gain one ____ for every card I played that has a leaf symbol in bottom left corner? Many things not explained in this terrible rule book.
Eres un grande, también me ayudaste con tu video de TI4 y Eclipse. Con este video me decidí por adquirir este juego que me llama mucho la atención. Muchas gracias eres un genio, sigue así. Saludos desde Chile.
Hmm, just learned of it and the Kickstarter is over. Do they plan to produce a regular edition afterwards or am i relegated to hunting for it on ebay? PS: I know they didn't ship it yet. Just asking myself (and the void) if this was the starting shot for a regular production or a one off batch. I think they are selling Age of Civilization on their page regularly.
Great video. This game is overly complex though. To the point of not being fun. It has a Terraforming Mars level of complexity without the feeling of progression you get in TM. Probably going to put this at the back of the shelf. Thank you again for the great video though.
Lol, just bought the game by impulse. After getting an aneurism by what is not said in the rulebook I'm going to get by vids on YT and taking 3 weeks off work in order to get started
I love that you’re covering this game. I’ve been playing it a ton on the website. I’m very excited for this one!

Interesting. The publishers looked over the video and didn't mention it, but I'll add a note in the description. Thanks for the spot.

A 4x in your.... cargo pants?? Glad to see a new video! Love the quality (and light humor) in your videos!
Thanks!
Excellent summary of a great game. This is now my go-to recommendation for teaching Age of Galaxy.
Thanks!

Aw, well thank you very much!

It's definitely gratifying to be approached for these. And hey, if that's the way you want to play, I won't tell anyone.

You gain the bonus for each leaf type planet you own.

No problem!

I don't know for sure if they're going to have a retail release, but if their last game is available I bet this one will be too.
@@RTFM Thanks! I guess i'll keep my eyes open and my hopes up.
@@tomitiustritus6672 Haha, fingers crossed!
I still don't get what do I have to pick 7 factions cards at the beginning if I can only play 3
It gives you options so you can choose factions that work well together.

Stop making me go to kickstarter to back things...... first Wizards of the Grimoire and now this.... stop I have children to feed....
Haha, well hey at least these have been pretty affordable. I'm teaching Nemesis Lockdown next...
Age of Galaxy sounds like the name of one of those shitty slapped-together mobile pay to win games tbh. Terrible name.
That's a lot of 💩talk coming from someone named "Stuart" aka your average Assistant Sales Associate at Guitar Center ☠☠
@@kaijuh wow, you got me.
