    Subtitles are wrong. It's not "Why wadna follow ye" it's "Whae widna follow ye?" (Who would not follow you?), a rhetorical question.

    Wonder if the original Version Of This Song Was In Gaelic For That Is The Native Language Of The Highlands And Then The Corries Just Translated It To English. The Corries Have Translated original Gaelic Songs Like Mari Bhan Before.

      Most of these songs seem to originate in scots itself

      This is in scots, not english, so perhaps it's original.
