I worked for Sears 15years at Sears troy MI 48083 I love Sears I believe the management kill Sears not Amazon Sears used to sales online first and they stop doing it
In retrospect, they were Amazon before there was an Amazon. They sold about EVERYTHING. At one time they even sold a car called the Allstate. And you could buy a kit containing pre fabricated materials to build a house . If they’d kept their catalog, they could have quickly switched to an online format and kept Amazon at bay because people would have already been familiar with the trusted Sears catalog.
Ah the memories I have of shopping in the tool department of fully stocked Sears stores back in the day. Didn’t know how good we had it!
It’s crazy how even into the 90s almost everything was USA made and relatively inexpensive
This is depressing. How An American icon can fall so far, so (relatively) fast is simply unbelievable.
Appreciate you supporting sears!!!
That's a shame. An American Icon too. You can bet if it were Target, there'd be an outcry!
I thought they were all gone long ago
There’s still about a dozen left, but fewer every year
The Last Sears In California Include Concord, Stockton, And Whittier
So sad to see what was once one of the power houses of stores...
