The MG Exia was one of the first Gunpla I built, I think in 2014 or 2015, while I did have problems with some of the holographic plastic sheet, on the whole, I enjoyed the build, and while I've not done much with it since there are no problems with looseness or it falling apart, which some people report, it could be a case of if you play with it a lot it loosens up. I have been making model kits since the 1990s, and I did start with, and do still make, paint and glue kits, so do usually glue anything that seems loose which may account for my kits rarely suffering from falling apart.
The people who hate the exia are the ones who got it on the initial release. Bandai fixed some of the issues in 2017, and all the prints since then have been without the major issues.
Is it just me or the astarea type F with the avalanche looks looks like Hulkbuster, especially with the classic iron man colour scheme of yellow and red
The riders' sticker sheets are MASSIVE. On the white rider it's all the gold, all the yellow trim on the solar panel looking thing, all of the panels inside the unit, everything inside the vents regardless of modes. All the gold/yellow on the gun. Oh and they didn't change the frame at all so the wrists are going to snap right off if it attempts to hold the gun. Basically if you have the original pale rider, you know exactly how bad the frame is gonna be. Almost forgot the worst part, the sword is a chop stick. no removable blade and it all comes in white. I get it's an HG but that means nothing now that we have monolithic ones that are almost 100% to the on screen version and here they are still with the 40+ stickers on a "premium" model.

Overall, the MG Exia is okay; the problem is that the ankles are a bit weak and the feet have a bend right where the weight of the kit bears down on them. So while it can stand on its own it never feels stable and a lot of poses just don't work. The White Rider feels a bit too Build Divers for my taste. The Black Rider is more down-to-earth but also less interesting as a result. However, given their color schemes, hopefully they'll offer better color separation than the HG Pale Rider on which they're based. I feel the Efreet is the strongest of the three.
You know I personally think both the black rider and white rider look like crap but however. Kit bash parts from pale rider calvary and black and white rider. Then you'll have an amazing kit in your hands.
Oh, I'm still getting Astrea even if people kept on pointing "bruh that's Exia frame that's a bad kit". That frame may have issues but it's not something that can't be fixed. Also, Astrea is cool.

Is debating on the Black and White units... but considering the base they have... I guess the new molds are the only thing you would be after.
Really want Bandai to release the five Gundam Astray base units into a revive HGCE 1/144. And that means Gundam Astray Mirage Frame too.
