Will low refrigerant cause the heat not to work at all? I was told the coolant was low on mine never worked with heat pumps before I’m from upstate ny now living in sc
Hey Russell! We’re in heat mode for this video. You do use the true suction port for this system for a low pressure reading and what I would call your vapor port for a high pressure reading. That’s the setup we’ve shown here.
Kiss azz post on this video. is this for one year tech's LOL . on that head psi >>> no static #/return size/ NOT THE BIG PICTURE. It's all good call after call.
Hahaha....I’m new to this RUclips thing. I’ve employed and talked with a lot of new people in residential HVAC over 15 years and over half didn’t understand what I covered in this video. One step at the time is what I’m trying to do with my content. Now that we’re getting into the cooling season, I’ll be sure to go more in depth on the parameters that affect psi, temps, subcooling & superheat.
@@AIRMANHVAC That's cool man I have a You Tube channel and made money off some of my video's. I have 27 years HVACR resid/comm/marine. so if i can help hit me up. im in Tampa Bay fl
@@AIRMANHVAC I'm no newb, but I learned hvac in colorado and never ever saw a heat pump. It's just too cold in the winter. This was very helpful video.
I was working on the same model just a 2.5 ton, so this was very informative and helpful checking charge in winter is always hardest for me idky
Nice testing gadgets. New technology makes work easier
Nice job Pete, very practical explanation.
Thank you
Nice video and explanation. Thanks for sharing
On my 2022 American Standard Gold 18 Two-Stage heat pump the true suction port is directly under the reversing valve on the center line.
I really like the field piece probes
Is it normal.for the gauge to be warm hot after checking the reading on heat pump Guage hook up for 15mins
True suction line not discharge line
I give this video a like
How we find out a new system that won’t turn on its low on charge in winter time …?
Hey TT, I don’t understand what you’re asking
Great video man
Thank you
Charging chart people charging chart on most condensers use it pleawexid 6ou done know watch this man

It will as far as the heat pump goes. You should have electric auxiliary heat with a heat pump system.
Where's in Cooling?
I thought you use the common port for heat mode

You made a critical error here.
