Duct board needs to be outlawed!
So what I’ve learned you have to put in the correct line set diameter length verify evaporator coil model number is a match then do your stabilization. After that, it will give you a target sub cooling, then you can go to check out and run the system on speed five to check your refrigerant charge. Once you’ve done the stabilization once after that, you only have to just go to the checkout mode.
Very easy n to point. I understand a lot better. Sometimes things seem overwhelming n complicated, but it just takes someone who been there to make it make since. Thanks
The risers are a good idea
Great filosopy no down time do it right the first time
I'm in central Alabama
You are not supposed to use reducers on gas line only bell reducers. Where I live.
Oh shit! I took it out the box! I was wondering why it was hard to come off. One filter wasted…🤦🏽♀️🥴🤣
Thank you!
The filter Dryer should always be installed inside of the house close to the evaporator coil to prevent corrosion from the outside elements.
@@thomasmcdonald5758 never seen a filter drier fail from the “outside elements”. The reason the filter drier’s preferred location is near the evap coil is to offer better protection for the metering device. Installing it outside near the condenser is a completely acceptable practice. We’ll just have to disagree on that issue.
@@AIRMANHVAC The filter dryer’s manufactured 15-20 year ago had thicker metal and like everything else was made much better, the newer filter dryers have much thinner metal and when they are under snow ice and freezing temperatures the elements cause much faster deterioration.
ME TO BROTHER, I ONLY CARRY 5 AMP FUSES AS WELL!! 24 yr exp tech from Va. Love your videos, nice work.
What type of filter dryer do you use with those ends on it?
I should use RLS or acr?
Can you explain Why Fuse Pops when I connect the Y’s to the furnace control board? Like I can’t power Outdoor unit with 24v because it pops
There must be a short of some kind in your wiring or the contactor in the condensing unit.
The minute he dropped that filter dryer on the ground and not cleaning it prior to attaching it to the unit😂
😂 3 years later and the system still doesn’t care
Mine is like this one but, it feels like it's stuck and not coming out.
That drier connection is pipe dia. Not connector dia. ???
Correct
Great information and no B.S.
Always add two 2 and a half inches
My door has screws on each side that holds the door on . But on the door it says 20x22x1/4 and i can’t find a filter anywhere that size . So I bought a 20x22x1 and you can’t get them out you literally have to tear it up getting it out. What should I do . I just bought the house last year .
1:47 - I hope you didn't ask to borrow that man's phone after knowing what he just did in the background of your video! I used the RLS (Rapid Locking System) tools and fittings for the first time yesterday on a walk-in cooler and had leaks on every fitting. Note to self: the center of the jaws _do not_ go over the rib where the o-ring is in the fitting! I needed to _Read the Fabulous Manual_ before starting.
My fuse will last a month or two. So its hard to find the short and is intermittently happening.
Thanks I’ve been placing mine wrong for a year 😂
How yo carry 200 boxes of filter to the roof is my question?
One at a time
My filter has wire on both sides.
Serial number on unit is FJ4DNX. It never came with a filter. So I had to go purchase one from Walmart.
There should be an air flow direction indication on the filter.
@@AIRMANHVAC would that be the arrow?
@@sandrawedding yes
@@AIRMANHVAC thank you! It doesn’t specify if the arrow goes up or down. But the arrow is opposite of the writing. 🤷🏼♀️
I searched for twenty minutes for a simple answer, finally found it here. Thank you.
Ser this was so helpful. One question, we recently Bought a townhome and there is not only an air filter seen here, but I found a carrier washable filter sitting on the ground. Do I use both of these filters?
Our recommendation is to filter air at one location.
Hello can you press txv valves?

lets talk about the neighbors ac leaning lol. nice work man great video
I got the same drill and bit great for doing service work
P have you ever used duct a later you may want to invest
No way in hell my house would look like that with all that flex hanging like that that's way too much flex y'all should have cut that s*** off and made it look a lot better cuz that s*** looks like s*** and then people should be pissed I guess the inspector don't give a s***what you install because that s*** right there that s*** right there and get a motherfuking fired that s*** looks unprofessional as f***
Let me ask everybody something if there's metal out there like that was and you just put off the takeoffs why wouldn't you finish the job with metal that don't make sense to me 2 90 on each side with a work with no problem I don't understand why you put flex in there instead of metal don't make sense I'm from Florida and that's how I would have done it I would have put 290 on each takeoff into the other pipe that's called professional and then build a dog house over it
The case why wouldn't you sell them a surge protector
I've never seen anybody put locks and drives that's using the Pittsburgh and putting lots and drives we call what you just did is a dog house 🏡 did you put a piece on😅
I'll send it I don't understand it why is he doing all that and he can make 90s and I don't get it three-piece 90s I mean what the f*** is going on in their boy somebody's going to be pissed
Damn dude could have saved them thousands of dollars all you had to do was do it down zone system in that b**** I don't understand why you running that much f****** duck man that's crazy
You see that s*** that angle he's talking about covering up there should be no angle there if he knew how to do his ductwork right there would not be no angle there he didn't I don't understand what the hell he's doing and that's just shity work laziness or not knowing what to do
I think I'd be pretty pissed off at a job like this I'm not going to lie to you and they're using metal strap to hang the unit are you shiting me now why aren't you using all thread and unistrut and then the pan then the pan under that and then you're putting the duck backwards that s*** don't make no sense that first box you just cut if that's the supply why is it going backwards I mean I think I would be a little pissed off just to be honest with you because that's not right
Finally a video where the filter is actually horizontal! My filter has wire in both sides (Filtrete 20x25x1, Merv 13, blue on the sides). “Air coming from the bottom and going up” did it for me. Arrow is pointing up. Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Thank youuu!! Finally someone that has clear direction! 😃
How come the three pole contactor doesn't have a 24 volt connector on the middle pin???
No need for a middle pin….when 24 volts is applied between the two “coil” pins, the contactor closes.
I'm just wondering what L3 is used for. I got this three pole contactor according to my manufacturer specs and part number to find they only have a 2 pole in the unit. So I'm gonna use the three pole since I bought it. It doesn't mount right but oh well I'll put self drilling screws where I need them I guess.
@@erockscott1184 just don’t use a pole/L3. 3 pole contactors are used in equipment that uses 3 phase power. Typically you see single and double pole contactors in equipment using single phase power.
Ok...I was thinking though...lol..that if one pole went bad i could switch to the other and "shift" them down one....lol
Good job talking people through this, explaining and showing.., Thanks 🙏
So do you just use a 5 amp popper fuse as well for trouble shooting or do you carry both 3 and 5 for testing purposes?
I haven’t had good results using a popper….transformers getting burnt up. I keep a big box of 5 amps only. No issues using just 5’s.
Other than overstretching the nichrome coils a bit, not bad. It looks like you could leave the coils short initially, make the two end terminations, then stretch the coils in situ to fit the space. Alternatively, use a piece of copper or aluminum wire to simulate the serpentine path of the coils, then straighten and measure to get a more accurate length. Do you find those adjustable thermal switches to be as reliable as the fixed ones?
I haven't had any callbacks or problems with the adjustable limit switches. Definitely go that route to save space on the service trucks.
On the filter is the dirty side on the bottom or top
For this application the filter will collect “dirt” on the bottom
@@AIRMANHVAC Thank you. I have a new Carrier unit since May. There is a metal filter that was installed. Is it ok to use paper filters from Home Depot or should I get a metal one.
@@b320i3 I use a merv 11 or 13 depending on what’s cheaper at the time
