Ironic that on a video about microphones I seem to have done something weird and made the sound a bit angry on the top end 😂 Ah well, done is better than perfect 😁
Great video, detailed and to the point. I want to eventually buy a gimbal and if I were to get low shots a shotgun mic would get in the way of the motors, I thought about finding a longer cable and use a cold shoe on the gimbal handle but I may go this route with a shotgun plugged into the wireless mic and the receiver on the camera.
I do nearly the same set up with my Rode VidoMic NTG. It has a built in battery but instead of XLR it already has a 3.5 jack. The only issue the wireless Go gets taped to the mic stand as it is only connected to the NTG by a cord. But it works great.
Exactly what I was looking for thank you. Is there a loss in audio quality when you use an adapter (XLR to 3.5mm) and record wirelessly into your camera?
Great Video, but what do you do to the settings to boost the audio like you did. I tried it and then audio is rather low. Do you boost in in the setting or in post?
Hi, is it working if i put a cell in the slot of the MKE 600 and connect directly to the Rode Wireless Go II Transmitter? Because this microphone can be run with a cell (so without phantom power 48V) with lower specs obviously.

I have the MKE 600 and have been searching for awhile to do a setup like this. Great video!
Great idea, have the MKE 600 myself...super happy with it.
Awesome video.
I will try to this on my next set up.
Thank you

Great idea! Also used this set up with the ME66.

Found you searching for this exact answer! Thanks so much for making this video!
This is the video I was looking for, a test with an external mic. Brilliant
Can't it be used with the cable that comes in Sennheiser's box without an adapter?

Great one once again
Thank you!
