Hey guys, I'm back from hiatus!
Anthony @ DIYautotech showing you a very simple but HIGHLY requested video by man of you. Walking you through the finite details of the basic at home oil change. I walk you through the basics of lifting the vehicle, oil change procedure, oil filter removal and replacement, and how to choose the correct engine oil and filter that is safe for your year/make/model of vehicle. We will also quickly talk about theory, tips and tricks, and do a very quick and basic under hood/under vehicle inspection.
This video is made with the Do-It-Yourselfer in mind, the guy/girl who wants to work on their vehicles at home. I am a California licensed and certified automotive technician, and these are some of the methods I use to perform an oil change at home.

I do all my oil changes and repairs. But i have a question what do you think of fram filters i hear a lot of bad stuff about them. Great info for someone who has never done a oil change themselves

I have no issues with Fram. I will admit there are much better brands such as Wix, AC Delco, K&N, Mobile 1. But Fram filters have done a great job for me in the past. I would suggest using the higher mileage synthetic filters as they are built a little stronger, weigh a few ounces more on my scale so I know there's more stuff going on within the filter. To me, that's a good thing. Thanks for watching and commenting Mike.
