I have a coil cut off, so the engine wont start unless energized. By watching your vid, my thought is the ignition switch is the culprit...Any thoughts before spending cash on a new switch ?
What will make it do that is a low battery if you’re cranking it and it does not start once the volts in the battery get too low. It will not let it disengage the solenoid because I’ve had it do the exact same thing on a GM and the solenoid is mounted on the starter on them.
I think this is what happened to me the battery was low and I had to crank it for a bit and then when it started the starter kept making noise and I had to remove the cable. now when you touch the cable to the post it wants to run the starter again even with the key off
