  • Tim Dillon, host of The Tim Dillon Show, earns over $200,000 per month in Patreon donations. Tim Dillon went from relative obscurity just a few years ago, to being featured as a guest on some of the most popular podcasts in the world like The Joe Rogan Experience, Impaulsive, and the H3 Podcast. But how did Tim Dillon get so popular? What is it about the Tim Dillon Show that listeners love so much?
The Tim Dillon Show, formerly known as Tim Dillon is Going to Hell, is a comedy podcast hosted by stand-up comedian Tim Dillon. Early episodes of the show were co-hosted by Ray Kump, and the show premiered as part of the Gas Digital Network. After a few years, Tim Dillon parted ways with Gas Digital and Ray Kump, and launched a Patreon page for the Tim Dillon Show. Before long, The Tim Dillon Show was earning over $200,000 each month in donations from more than 40,000 patrons. This was also around the time that Tim Dillon brought on Ben Avery as producer.
Note: Some portion of Tim Dillon’s fan base have turned against him in recent weeks. The general vibe shift was kicked off by the departure of Ben Avery, and was exacerbated by recent allegations that Tim Dillon has submitted copyright claims on some smaller youtubers’ channels. Regardless, the majority of information in this video is still valid, and corrections are shown on screen when appropriate.

Day 2 asking for WARMODE video

noted. War Mode is blowing up in popularity judging by their Patreon statistics. They're on the list. Probably won't be the next video though, but maybe 2 or 3 down the line.

@@iandecent love you xoxo. Good video on Tim.
I know they might be a little hard to cover since they're almost like "4chans podcast" as I heard one person say lol. Still think they're story of simply being friends and a brother to matt Mckusker and shane Gillis is interesting

@@benardman2665 yeah I think they have an interesting story. I don't have much interest in covering some of the top comedy podcasts, because for a lot of them it's obvious why they're popular - famous hosts. That's why I want to tell the stories of ppl like Matt and Shane or TIm Dillon, because they came out of nowhere to seize their opportunities to rise to the top.

Shame this got only 200 views

this is a weird one, because all of the metrics (click through rate, average view duration, etc) for this vid are better than my Red Scare vid, but, for some reason I don't quite understand, the algorithm stopped pushing this video after only a couple thousand impressions. Might have something to do with Tim Dillon being a more competitive search term, but who knows. I might eventually share this on the Tim Dillon subreddit, although it looks kinda lame when ppl see I posted my own video.

@@iandecent I think it might have to do with Tim Dillons recent controversy with his co-host. As a none Tim Dillion fan I wasn't really gonna click on because of the controversy so maybe that has something to do with it.

could be. Hopefully I'll get lucky and it'll take off in the algorithm someday in the future

He's definitely better in podcast format. His standup is hit or miss.
