Last year, I made a 3 day trip to this park. I stayed at breakers, had fast lane for one day, made sure to get on every coaster, and eat at the best restaurants. Out of all the theme parks I’ve been to, this park was truly something else. Every ride was simple perfection, the food was great, and the atmosphere was better than any other *amusement park.* I like Disney better in terms of experience, but if I could go to any place in the world again it would be cedar point. Food: Chickie's and Pete's was solid as usual, but the best was the Kitchen & Grill restaurant that just opened in 2022 back by Maverick. I had chicken salad with potatoes and biscuit (twice!). Favorite Cedar Fair restaurant so far, and it is also right next to Chick-fil-A (my kids' favorite) so everyone in the family can eat together even though they got food from different places. The Ferris Wheel overlooks the old Wicked Twister spot, which is now a construction site, and it looks like they are building an upscale restaurant there overlooking the beach. Not ideal from a coaster enthusiast perspective, but it's probably the right move for the park overall. Rides: The ride lineup here is still the best. Magic Mountain has more coasters, but quality trumps quantity. That said, Magnum = pain. Wonderful view but I think I've had enough of that one (and kinda Arrow in general). Been making consistant visits to cheddar point for the past 20 years. It's still in my top 10 parks I've been to with hands down the best coaster collection
@@CanobieCoaster BDW if you have early entry to the point do you recommend any place for picking up fast lane plus? Should I bolt for millenium force first or pick up the band?
I went to Ohio for my first time last year, and I preferred KI to CP overall. Both were great. I did 4 days at KI and 5 at CP. The crowds at CP were crazy. I waited over an hour for SV with a fast lane plus. I waited 2.5 hours without it. RMC needs to debut a 4 across coaster train for CP. I never saw Valravn below 45mins for fast lane. Maverick had wacky lines too. My highlights from CP were getting the last ride on SV every night, riding Millie every morning early entry, and getting lucky once each with Maverick and Dragster with marathoning them. We rode Dragster with 0 wait (with fastlane) 8 times in a row. What a rush.
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks for the response. I'm a big fan of your channel. Honestly, my preference for KI was more about the intangibles like park pride and staff friendliness. Also, I really enjoy the variety with world class woodies and some great steel modern monsters. I rode the last night ride on The Beast every night I was there. I tend to lean towards quality over quantity with coasters. Here's a breakdown if it interests you: - The bat > Iron Dragon + Corkscrew combined - Orion => Millennium Force (tough one) - Diamondback vs Magnum is hard, but without nostalgia? I'm going Diamondback. - Steel Vengeance (probably the best coaster in the world) > Mystic Timbers (The best GCI ever) - The Beast > Blue streak - Banshee=Raptor: OK, I do slightly prefer Banshee. I personally prefer longer rides with bigger drops, and I don't really like cobra rolls that much. Gemini > Racer but I enjoy both Maverick: KI doesn't have an answer for this. Flight of Fear and Stunt Lot are both fun, but not outstanding. - Valravn is a good dive coaster, and I think CP starts really pulling ahead on Coaster collections at this point. I'll put Invertigo here, losing horribly to Valravn. - Gatekeeper: OK, I don't know what to make of this ride. It was shut down for my 5 days at CP. I hear it's not that great, but I'd like to decide for myself. Points to CP for having this beautiful looking ride right at their entrance. - Rougarou: It just doesn't feel like it belongs, but it does what it does fairly well as the world's third worst B&M. - CP would take the edge here for me with Top Thrill Dragster, but will it ever be open again? And if it is, will it be for more than 10 minutes per day? - I think the flat ride collections are pretty comparable. - I'm not the least bit interested in credits or kiddie coasters, so everything else is irrelevant to me. - Corkscrew is a terrible ride. I'm not interested in ever riding it again unless I'm paid to do so. I would say Iron Dragon is worse as a thrill ride, but with the added headache and misery, Corkscrew really takes the cake. - The Beast: This ride is iconic, and of course it's the longest woodie in the world by quite a bit. Its layout isn't the greatest, it has been rough, and there is some kinda boring straight track, but the whole experience, especially if you get a night ride, is a truly unique and memorable experience worth having. Well, that's my coaster breakdown CP vs. KI. Cheers.
I live in Ohio around the Sandusky area and when you go to cedar point so much, sometimes it’s hard to believe that you can’t really get any bigger and better than Cedar Point
As a small child I remember going on one of the kiddie rides and it was swarmed with mayfly’s. I’m talking everywhere you look. When you walk into the park you can step on them on accident. Also at lighthouse point there was about 10 black snakes on the rocks by the shore.
I agree CP is a great Coaster park in the US *but* I also think Energlandia, Poland's newish Amusement park is giving them a run for their money. Opened in 1994, has 17 coasters with more being currently built. There not finished with development, it truly is a themepark lover's dream (if you can get there) .
Don't forget about the Pagoda shop back by Gatekeeper, all the classic merch for old and defunct attractions are there. Also you aren't missing much on Hollowweekends. The park is even busier then than the summer months and they have scare actors that try and slide into you.
Cedar Point is my favorite Amusement Park because of the entire experience from rollercoasters, the beach, and Hotel Breakers to name a few. I absolutely love this place!
I recently visited the cedar point in August 2022 we stayed at hotel breakers had a wonderful time wasn't very crowded until Saturday morning when we left
In late May 2018 staying at Breakers I needed the early entrance for SV which only hd one train ops then. I only appreciated Maverick for also being open for early entry as it w on the way to MF; my other favourite coaster at CP other than SV. I guess I'll go back when Breakers offers early entrance to SV; Im guessing 2024? (BTW Chick Fillet isn't a ride. ;) ) Great Video, thanks for posting!
Excellent commentary. Our opinion this is the best seasonal park in the nation. I grew up in Toledo now live in Virginia and it sure beats BGW and KD. Truly is a park like no other. 🎠🎢🎡🏖🎬🤽♂️🤽🏿♀️🍷☕️😎
Nice review Glad to finally see a solid review of this place👌🏻 the 230 cedar fair pass is a bargain probaly, even the 135 pass only for cp is a great value (2days and you already got it back)
It's easily my favorite Cedar Fair park. After visiting for the first time in 2015, I actually preferred Kings Island a little bit more because there were some small disappointments like the bugs, the high winds and me somehow throwing up on Gemini (how?🤔). Then we came back in 2017 and included the waterpark with our visit and had a much better time. Next time I plan.to spend more time exploring the Frontier Trail and check out Castaway Bay and the nearby Kalahari also. By the way that fifth hotel off property not mentioned is called Sawmill Creek.
@@benallen7037 Hmm I'm from Michigan, so the weather is very comparable, late August it shouldn't be too bad, the issue is, the weather up here is just very bipolar, I would check 2 weeks out, and see what the forecast will be around early-mid August. If you want my honest opinion, the best time to go to Cedar Point is in June though, weather is good, far far less people, if you go on a Wednesday, you can practically ensure you ride everything, and possibly twice.
Great review & tips. The long lines on almost all days are the biggest downside. Last year, my planned departure day drew a very light crowd because of overnight storms, so I added a day to spend 4.5 days here, and never got bored. My least favorite of those days was my fast lane plus day, as the fast lane lines were typically longer than the regular lines, as it seemed that half the guests had it. I actually got more done on my other days and had more fun, but I also utilized many of the tips that you mentioned to manage the crowds well. I'm a fan of loaded mac & cheese bowls, and Cedar Point has a good place for that near the front of the park. I didn't know that Maverick was also being taken off the early entry this year. It was on early entry last year, but I still prioritized Millennium Force during early entry, jumping on Valravn on the way. I was very lucky to visit during the short time that both Dragster & Gatekeeper were open. I stayed at a cheap Rodeway Inn for under $250 total for 4 nights, since I wouldn't be in the room much, and despite questionable reviews, it was a great motel. I've stayed there 3 times now.
@@CanobieCoaster Interesting you mention that. Maverick went down Tuesday and stayed down for a couple days. Wednesday morning, I went straight to Millennium Force at the start of early entry, and when I got off, the line was already filling several switchbacks before the fast lane merge point. All the Maverick riders might have been here instead.
This is my favorite place ever has the most amazing views and rides and so many other things than rides frontier trail is amazing and staying at breakers and using the beach is the best thing
I've been to Cedar Point before since 2019 I had a great time with my parents but, we didn't get to ride much roller coasters but I did get to ride on some attractions and rides.
Cannot recommend Halloweekends enough! It's busy for sure but the usual Ohio fall around 65-70 degrees and calm weather plus the haunted events make for probably the best time you could have at the park.
Cedar point and Hershey are my 2 favorite parks. CP has an sheer abundance of incredible attractions. Hershey has a fantastic top 5 and j find it to be incredibly charming. I flip flop which I like more, as a Cleveland native though I go to CP way more
Sky rush=Maverick Great Bear=Raptor Storm runner > Dragster Candymoniun < MilF Fahrenheit > Valraven / Rougarou Comet > Bluestreak Gemini > Lightning Racers Steel Vengeance (?) Wildcats Rev. S. D. Looper > Corkscrew Wildmouse/Wildmouse(whocares) …. But then CP still has Gatekeeper and better flats… damn close though IMO
Nice review! Hope you can put some background music in the video. It will make it more interesting. Can use no copyright sound to prevent music copyright.
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks. hated missing the past two years due to covid, but i was afraid that the park experience wouldn't be worth continuing my 44 year streak! going to resume in two more weeks.
As I was there over summer, behind the Matterhorn I saw a old golf cart that still had a arrow dynamics logo on it. You’d think they’d remove that logo but nope. Still there
Cedar point is always slammed but if you go in the summer and you have a disability like me, you can get the plan your day boarding pass program and you can enter the attractions through their exit and usually get right on within 5 to 10 minutes and they let you choose any row you want to but depending on how crowded the park is they do give you a return time anywhere between 10 mins-2 hours but the only time you have to wait an hour or more to get on attractions is during the fall season and weekends. It really definitely saves your time and you even get on faster than the fast lane and fast lane plus options that can be very expensive like you said. And then it doesn’t rain every day in the summer but only a few days unlike the Orlando parks. The only downside is there is not any single rider lines at cedar point meaning that if you do not have a disability you are forced to wait in those long lengthy lines unless you purchase a fast lane.
FANTASTIC review, thoughts, and Opinions!! I think that Kings Island is overall a better park. But it’s close for me. Getting back to both in 2024! Cedar Point in the Spring and Kings Island in the Fall. Come from Iowa. Loved everything in your review! Ready to try TT2!
I went to CP last year for the first time, and was planning on doing it again this year, but with them being down 2 coasters this year, I decided its probably not the best time to go back. Doing Orlando parks instead, since they all seem to have new ones lately.
Mine ride was riding extremely rough this year. One of the roughest coasters I’ve ridden it jackhammerd and violently shook side to side and slammed into the side of the track. We live about 2 hours away so we visit a few times a year
went here on a saturday and sunday saturday everything had 1-4 hour lines, yeah 4 hours. sunday it was thunder stoorming in the morning sprinking the rest of the day and everything was a walk on almost also dragster opened and got a ride on it !! sadly had to leave halfway through the day so didnt get to ride much
I can't believe I've lived in Ohio just a couple hours from cedar point, kings island and the zoo and zoombezi bay(wyandot lake) my entire life and never appreciated it the way it should be because I've been so close and watched it evolve over the years and I'm only 29.
Last August I went for 2 days and it was dead. Walkons for majority of rides. I was able to ride every single coaster in one day (rougarou closed) Day 2 I got on millie 3 times and steve 6 times only long line was maverick (45mins). I feel blessed at the luck I had.
This is my home park, I absolutely love it, and much or my top 10 coasters are Cedar Point coasters. I don't think their operations are as good as King's Island, but I got to give them alot of credit. I kind of stick around the back of the park, mostly Magnum but alot of Maverick and Steve. Then walk up for the B&Ms later.
im going to be staying at hotel breakers and plan to start early entry at millie as you suggested. however, im not sure which gate will be most practical to get to the coaster as fast as possible. which one do you generally take? ty
The Marina gate is easily the best for Millennium, but I think that gate is closed for early entry. I think the Breakers gate and front gate take similar time.
Still super pumped for my first visit next week, but taking Steel Vengeance and Maverick off of night time ERT and then announcing the frontier nights event a few days after everyone bought tickets for Coastermania was a bit of a slap in the face. I probably would have just payed for that for the Night rides on Mav and Steve. Oh well, just slightly shady IMO.
Cedar Point really is a place like no other, however I prefer Kings Island over Cedar Point. That being said, I always enjoy this place. I use your strategy of going to the North end first, and have found it very helpful. Fast Lane plus is mandatory here, and I never visit without it anymore. In 2018, I had the best possible RNG here with bad weather and Fast Lane Plus. I lapped the tar out of everything even Steel Vengeance. I hope Top Thrill 2 does well.

I went to cedar point mid may, and everything was closed, me and my father rode one ride, rougaro and then left as force, vengeance, valravyn, raptor, and practically everything else was down, why? you may ask, wind speeds, not rain, not thunder, wind speeds. we went again the following week and had a blast
personally i don’t even think it’s “arguably” the best coaster collection. i’ve genuinely never been to a park with better a coaster lineup and at this point i don’t think anything will top at for a while
Do you know if you have to be staying at Hotel Breakers in order to park in the back lot near the hotel? Can you park there even if your not staying in the hotel? I hate parking in the front.
You can park in the back lot during normal operating hours. You can't use the Magnum gate for early entry unless you're a Breakers or Lighthouse Point guest, so they may not let you back there until 10 am.
6:30 The fuckin bugs man. Hahah I swallowed tons on Steel Vengeance. It's nuts. I loved the Hotel Breakers stay and being able to enter the park in the back. Hour early is great too. Park is just so damn huge and they have tons of rides. So it's really the best park in the world for spreading guests out. That I know of at least.
@@rollercoasterheaven2170 Oh man they're everywhere during a specific season (Summer when I was there, I'd assume that's when heaviest) and at night. And I believe up at altitude as well. No doubt about that, I mean there were mountains, literal piles 1' high of them near lights dead.
When I went to cedar point for the first time we were going to get fast lane plus however for the day I was going it was 300 dollars so we had to get normal fast lane and because of that I never got on maverick.
Needs a solid wooden coaster. Blue Streak is okay, but they need a real power hitter. Gemini and Steel Vengeance are hybrids. They need a Mystic Timbers
Didn't realize this place wasn't pedestrian accessible. I knew something felt strange lmfao. Also the last time I went I got a perfect visit, every weather forecast said heavy showers and it only ended up being 30 minutes of sprinkling before the entire park only had 3.5k guests in it. Even dragster was open with a 25 minute wait, was incredible
Probably the best amusement park in existence. There is just to much to love here, I'm not going to get into it but you cant not have a fun time in this 16 coaster park. And their top 5 or so which are world class coasters, all in the same park. And that its so massive, the fact its over a mile long is just stupid.
I DO still lament the fact that Cedar Fair made "overtures" to buy AstroWorld (my home park) You DID however get Monte Jasper as VP of Maintenance from US. Just to think in the 1960's they were gonna make housing out of this great park!??? The museum is a great touch! They also do have a great selection of both new & vintage flat rides. And you knowww how much I love a steam rail road! The 2 (quads) Priceless!
It’s agianst the rules to run at certain parks? My home park is sfga and I sprint through the park all day and I’ve never gotten an earful from anybody about it
@@RA-hx9uc I don't think it hurts more... Unless you ride the magic seat. That hurt really bad. ;) But yeah I agree that one has insane ejector airtime.
I love this review, but I have to disagree with one point. Millennium is best experienced in the back row. That first drop is just devastating and you feel the limited airtime a lot more. The front row is still fun. But if I had to pick one it would be back row.
During CoasterMania, they have ERT on Wilderness Run and there'll be a comical line entirely made up of adults to ride. RIP Pink's however Mac Shack is delicious. At least they have Derby Dogs now for custom hot dogs.,
@@CanobieCoaster The pulled pork was average, admittedly. 2019, first year? Maybe it was just the last time I had really good BBQ chicken, the stuff does have an almost unfair advantage, but also their mac and cheese was way above the norm, even though that's still not as good as chicken. ;)

I still don't understand why Cedar Point is considered a peninsula. It is completely surrounded by water. You have to go over bridges on either entrance, which means it should be considered an island.

Kings Island is definitely better for crowds and Fast Lane.
Here's a breakdown if it interests you:
- The bat > Iron Dragon + Corkscrew combined
- Orion => Millennium Force (tough one)
- Diamondback vs Magnum is hard, but without nostalgia? I'm going Diamondback.
- Steel Vengeance (probably the best coaster in the world) > Mystic Timbers (The best GCI ever)
- The Beast > Blue streak
- Banshee=Raptor: OK, I do slightly prefer Banshee. I personally prefer longer rides with bigger drops, and I don't really like cobra rolls that much.
Gemini > Racer but I enjoy both
Maverick: KI doesn't have an answer for this.
KI. Cheers.
@@russ4moosedang, that's a detailed reply lol
I feel like a trip there would not be easy. If you don't already live close by, the closest airport is in cleveland about an hour away.
@metallicnole4514 It's not easy. I had to fly into covington, KY, and rent a car.
I live in Ohio around the Sandusky area and when you go to cedar point so much, sometimes it’s hard to believe that you can’t really get any bigger and better than Cedar Point
It's one of the world's best parks.
Going there for the 1st time next month. Can’t wait. Thanks for the perfectly timed review 👍
Enjoy!
As a small child I remember going on one of the kiddie rides and it was swarmed with mayfly’s. I’m talking everywhere you look. When you walk into the park you can step on them on accident. Also at lighthouse point there was about 10 black snakes on the rocks by the shore.
They are everywhere!
I have been here once for vacation and it was great I do wanna go back sometime
Nice!
I agree CP is a great Coaster park in the US *but* I also think Energlandia, Poland's newish Amusement park is giving them a run for their money. Opened in 1994, has 17 coasters with more being currently built. There not finished with development, it truly is a themepark lover's dream (if you can get there) .
Energylandia has more coasters and awesome headliners, but they don't have the same quality in their supporting coasters.
Don't forget about the Pagoda shop back by Gatekeeper, all the classic merch for old and defunct attractions are there. Also you aren't missing much on Hollowweekends. The park is even busier then than the summer months and they have scare actors that try and slide into you.
I love that shop.
Cedar Point is my favorite Amusement Park because of the entire experience from rollercoasters, the beach, and Hotel Breakers to name a few. I absolutely love this place!
It really is amazing.
I recently visited the cedar point in August 2022 we stayed at hotel breakers had a wonderful time wasn't very crowded until Saturday morning when we left
Nice!
That certainly was an advantage to staying there. Thankfully I've always had multiple trains on Vengeance.
Excellent commentary. Our opinion this is the best seasonal park in the nation. I grew up in Toledo now live in Virginia and it sure beats BGW and KD. Truly is a park like no other. 🎠🎢🎡🏖🎬🤽♂️🤽🏿♀️🍷☕️😎
Thanks!
Nice review
Glad to finally see a solid review of this place👌🏻 the 230 cedar fair pass is a bargain probaly, even the 135 pass only for cp is a great value (2days and you already got it back)
I'd use it a ton if I lived near this park.
Bucket list for coaster fans. We stayed at the hotel the year after renovations. Coasters are serious business at this park!!
Absolutely!
I’m going next week for the first time and I’m so excited
Enjoy!
Wind is the number one thing that can derail a Cedar Point visit for me. I always check the forecast in advance to game plan my days.
@@CanobieCoaster How is the last week of August for visiting this park? I checked temps but did not think of wind when we planned the visit.
I'm wondering if neither Maverick nor Vengeance being on Early Entry will negate my strategy to start with Millennium Force.
Bucket list park, for sure!
Absolutely!
This is my favorite place ever has the most amazing views and rides and so many other things than rides frontier trail is amazing and staying at breakers and using the beach is the best thing
It has so much!
@@CanobieCoaster it’s great
Great review, im going tomorrow. Haven't been in about 10 years
Have fun!
I've been to Cedar Point before since 2019 I had a great time with my parents but, we didn't get to ride much roller coasters but I did get to ride on some attractions and rides.
Definitely worth a return trip then.
Cannot recommend Halloweekends enough! It's busy for sure but the usual Ohio fall around 65-70 degrees and calm weather plus the haunted events make for probably the best time you could have at the park.
That weather beats the hot summers.
Cedar point and Hershey are my 2 favorite parks. CP has an sheer abundance of incredible attractions. Hershey has a fantastic top 5 and j find it to be incredibly charming. I flip flop which I like more, as a Cleveland native though I go to CP way more
Sky rush=Maverick
Great Bear=Raptor
Storm runner > Dragster
Candymoniun < MilF
Fahrenheit > Valraven / Rougarou
Comet > Bluestreak
Gemini > Lightning Racers
Steel Vengeance (?) Wildcats Rev.
S. D. Looper > Corkscrew
Wildmouse/Wildmouse(whocares)
….
But then CP still has Gatekeeper and better flats… damn close though IMO
Such a deep park!
I went here in 2013 for my middle school graduation gift it was my first time it was definitely a great gift
Nice!
I went to Disneyland for my high school graduation.
Just saying. No competition necessary.
I am going for the first time in a few weeks I am so exited!
Enjoy!
Nice review! Hope you can put some background music in the video. It will make it more interesting. Can use no copyright sound to prevent music copyright.
I did have music there. Was it not loud enough? I'm bad trying to balance background sound and voiceover audio.
Man I can't wait for my first visit to Cedar Point whenever that happens.
One day!
i was there for the opening of all those coasters beginning with the corkscrew.
Nice!
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks. hated missing the past two years due to covid, but i was afraid that the park experience wouldn't be worth continuing my 44 year streak! going to resume in two more weeks.
Incredible work.
Thank you very much!
The cabins at cedar point are nice. Experienced them last June.
Nice!
A bucket list park for me!
Understandable!
As I was there over summer, behind the Matterhorn I saw a old golf cart that still had a arrow dynamics logo on it. You’d think they’d remove that logo but nope. Still there
Interesting!
I'm glad that system works well for you.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to Top Thrill 2 too.
I went to CP last year for the first time, and was planning on doing it again this year, but with them being down 2 coasters this year, I decided its probably not the best time to go back. Doing Orlando parks instead, since they all seem to have new ones lately.
While Cedar Point has two rides missing, the lineup still holds its own. That's how strong the lineup is.
Mine ride was riding extremely rough this year. One of the roughest coasters I’ve ridden it jackhammerd and violently shook side to side and slammed into the side of the track. We live about 2 hours away so we visit a few times a year
Dang that stinks it was rough.
the card you can get at guest relations is still available to get, i got one in summer 2021
That's good to know. I heard from a few you couldn't.
went here on a saturday and sunday
saturday everything had 1-4 hour lines, yeah 4 hours.
sunday it was thunder stoorming in the morning sprinking the rest of the day and everything was a walk on almost
also dragster opened and got a ride on it !!
sadly had to leave halfway through the day so didnt get to ride much
Storms can be both a blessing and a curse.
I really like those coaster pics in that one hotel
They're a nice touch.
Amazing underrated channel
Thanks!
Who would Head back to the hotel in the middle of the day for a break!?! Amatures!
The only time I've gone back to Breakers midday was after I failed to finish my sandwich from Melt and needed to store it before riding anything else.
@@CanobieCoaster acceptable.
I can't believe I've lived in Ohio just a couple hours from cedar point, kings island and the zoo and zoombezi bay(wyandot lake) my entire life and never appreciated it the way it should be because I've been so close and watched it evolve over the years and I'm only 29.
Lucky!
I miss there so much ! ❤
It's an amazing park.
Last August I went for 2 days and it was dead. Walkons for majority of rides. I was able to ride every single coaster in one day (rougarou closed)
Day 2 I got on millie 3 times and steve 6 times only long line was maverick (45mins). I feel blessed at the luck I had.
That's lucky!
I agree Kings Island has better operations.
An absolutely amazing park! Still disappointed about TTD as it evaded me many times and I never got to ride it. CP does have great merch!
Hopefully the changes to Dragster make it more reliable.
im going to be staying at hotel breakers and plan to start early entry at millie as you suggested. however, im not sure which gate will be most practical to get to the coaster as fast as possible. which one do you generally take?
I didn't look into the Coastermania ERT too hard, but that's a bummer.
You should review Iron Dragon, Valravn, and GateKeeper. What would you rate those three rides?
I will down the road.
I'm so jealous that the east coast has Cedar Point while us on the west coast only have Magic Mountain. Great vid, though.
Magic Mountain has almost as good of a coaster lineup and you are able to visit that park on quiet days (ex. off-peak weekdays).
I wish crowds were as big of an issue, but I can't blame people for flocking here.

Nothing I could do.
Wind can be a big issue here sadly.
personally i don’t even think it’s “arguably” the best coaster collection. i’ve genuinely never been to a park with better a coaster lineup and at this point i don’t think anything will top at for a while
I see some argue for Magic Mountain and now Hersheypark, but this is my favorite.
@@CanobieCoaster ok cool, thanks for the reply!!
I’ve only been their twice in 2013 and 2017 and I don’t remember any bugs hitting me on the coasters
@@rollercoasterheaven2170 Oh man they're everywhere during a specific season (Summer when I was there, I'd assume that's when heaviest) and at night. And I believe up at altitude as well. No doubt about that, I mean there were mountains, literal piles 1' high of them near lights dead.
I know never to open my mouth on their coasters.
Windseeker closes in the wind? Is that not what it was seeking??
It's ironic.
Going there for the first time next weel
Enjoy!
When I went to cedar point for the first time we were going to get fast lane plus however for the day I was going it was 300 dollars so we had to get normal fast lane and because of that I never got on maverick.
They have made Fast Lane super pricey since it kept overselling. I get why they did it.
Steel Vengeance and Maverick are definitely the best 2 coasters at Cedar Point and they're the best 2 coasters I've ridden so far.
I prefer Millennium Force to Maverick, but all three are awesome.
Needs a solid wooden coaster. Blue Streak is okay, but they need a real power hitter. Gemini and Steel Vengeance are hybrids. They need a Mystic Timbers
Another would be nice.
Cedar point is my favorite place I love it
It's amazing.
@@CanobieCoaster Yeah it’s super fun
Didn't realize this place wasn't pedestrian accessible. I knew something felt strange lmfao. Also the last time I went I got a perfect visit, every weather forecast said heavy showers and it only ended up being 30 minutes of sprinkling before the entire park only had 3.5k guests in it. Even dragster was open with a 25 minute wait, was incredible
They should at least have a sidewalk along the road for those who want to ride their bike or just walk along the lake.
It would be a super long walk down the causeway anyway.
cedar point is literally just a giant straight line, i like kings islands layout way more.
Sometimes I think of this place as an island you can drive to.
Kings Island is faster to navigate for sure.
You need two days there because there are always major rides there that will break down or not operate on one of those days.
Wind is a big issue for sure.
Probably the best amusement park in existence. There is just to much to love here, I'm not going to get into it but you cant not have a fun time in this 16 coaster park. And their top 5 or so which are world class coasters, all in the same park. And that its so massive, the fact its over a mile long is just stupid.
It's incredible.
Will you ever make a review of Gatekeeper
Down the road, yes.
I love how this park respects its history.
Going here is pretty much my biggest goal in life haha
Hope you can!
It’s agianst the rules to run at certain parks? My home park is sfga and I sprint through the park all day and I’ve never gotten an earful from anybody about it
Most parks are against running.
When is the recommendation for the touring plan?
I think it's near the middle mark.
K
My thighs scream at the mention of Steel Vengeance! (I'm going on again this year when I'm there in early June. :P)
That ride certainly is an endurance test.
Magnum hurts more.
That drop is sweet in the back, but everything else is far superior up front for me.
I want to experience the thrill of free falling. What are the best rides for me that don’t go upside down
Drop towers
@@CanobieCoaster ok ty
in your experience how much does it cost for hotel brakers?
Depends on the day. I have gotten it as low as $200 before.
@@CanobieCoaster cool thanks
What would you rate Valravn?
Probably an 8.
During CoasterMania, they have ERT on Wilderness Run and there'll be a comical line entirely made up of adults to ride. RIP Pink's however Mac Shack is delicious. At least they have Derby Dogs now for custom hot dogs.,
I'm not surprised that would get a long ERT line!
@@CanobieCoaster I’ve ridden Wildness twice. Once with the pass that allowed for adults to ride kids rides and then once during ERT. No shame lol
The running policy makes sense when you consider cedar point is massive to walk through
I honestly didn't know parks had a running policy. At least I've never seen them truly enforced when.i visit them.
It certainly saves time.
Food: BackBeatCue, esp. the BBQ chicken, vivid smoke ring, best thing I ever had in a park, maybe anywhere.
I tried that BBQ last year and thought it was just ok.
@@CanobieCoaster The pulled pork was average, admittedly. 2019, first year? Maybe it was just the last time I had really good BBQ chicken, the stuff does have an almost unfair advantage, but also their mac and cheese was way above the norm, even though that's still not as good as chicken. ;)
This is the best park in the United States period.

I still don't understand why Cedar Point is considered a peninsula. It is completely surrounded by water. You have to go over bridges on either entrance, which means it should be considered an island.
Is the causeway not a thin strip of land?
I worked here last summer and 2.5 months didn’t even feel like enough time to experience everything 😭😭
Wow!
Why did you say there is only one wooden coaster if Gemini is also wooden?
Gemini has wood supports, but it has steel track (like Steel Vengeance).

That was completely unexpected when I came the evening before my first full day in 2015. Thankfully they were never a problem afterwards.
