Devs need to stop being lazy and learn from these developers of grid. Awesome port, great graphics. I have this on pc and am definately getting it on the switch to support these great devs.
Umm its more like Nintendo not wanting to take from profits to give to consumers by releasing hardware on release back in 2017 that is more adequate to play 'newer' gen titles like Grid that comes out in Oct of this year along with the rest of the other consoles. Instead we get a NEW release of something that's already 5 years old instead of the actual NEW release of this year. Sorry but this is Nintendo short changing the market to capitalize on profits because they know their userbase are too bound to the brand that they will pay higher amounts just because of the brand.

It must realy looks fantastic on the small screen of the Switch, it already looks damn good on my PC. It's incredible what kind of game can run on a handheld system nowadays... But damn, why no physical release?
The original GRID was an absolute beast. Not just the cars, damage model and career mode, but the cheat codes made it insane. Repulser field in demolition derby anyone? This is more of less a port of the mobile, but a solid port. I definitely need to make some space on the Switch for this.

I’m a big fan of racing sims so I have been dissatisfied with the offerings on the switch. But Grid gives me hope, it looks like it is hitting in a lot of the right places. Hopefully it will sell well and attract other games from the genre.

Spent the last 50 bucks on my bank card on this game this holiday and I'm seriously impressed. So we're the guests watching claiming it didn't look like a Nintendo Switch game.
I've spent way too much time studying racers on Switch. This is definitely the one you want. The other racers on Switch (V-Rally, Gear Club) are pretty garbage IMO. I've been waiting all year for Grid Autosport, and it looks like they did an excellent job with the port. They even delayed it til it was truly ready.

Anyone who'd dare say 6 has no business talking about racing games. This game does what matters most extremely well. Frankly it has better racing and driving than forza. Better physics and AI. That's what matters most in a RACING game

There have been racing sim games on the switch if u count motogp (which i do). However if ur going to get one of them, do NOT waste money on motogp 18 cuz u cant remap throttle or brakes to the analog stick so ur stuck all digital controls. I read that u can remap them in motogp 19 tho and i heard good things about it.
Already bought and preloaded. The extra touches in the port of different graphics modes convinced me this is a safe buy and hugely welcome addition to the Switch library
How many racing games are truly pure simulation though? I'm fine with "simcade". If I want true simulation, I'll hop in my car and get a speeding ticket.
@@John6-40I'm perfectly fine with simcade for grid but RGT in his excitement, or lack of research, tends to say things that are not necessarily true and I like this channel so I pointed out. Even Forza and Gran Turismo have arcade moments like making you start from the back and make your way to first every race.

NOTHING has paralleled it and all other games fall short (in my opion). This will be the fist game I feel that has even come close "to Gran Tourismo standards". I do like Need for speed franchise but I'm always comparing any driving game to GT. 🤷♂️ STILL $34.99 ??!! Huh? That means it SHOULD be pretty good.

I f**king love this game!!! Been dying for a proper race sim and actually really like the performance mode. Someone said it looked cartoony, but I’m very happy with. Hope they make a sequel 🤩
I loved this game on the 360 with a wheel, real good time burner, but also something I could sink my teeth into. It's fantastic on the switch, but I do have some greavences, that being said, it isn't grid autosport's fault. It's 100% the digital triggers of the switch. I have to play this game blipping instead of feathering the throttle (and forget trail braking, or even playing without abs) , and when you're trying to conserve tires(endurance mode), drifting is not a good option. So you have to take corners way slower than you normally would, it's a pain in the butt. I'm slowly getting used to it but this game had buttery smooth and fun controls on other consoles. It just feels held back by the hardware. I plan on giving it a try with a GameCube controller at some point, but I'm not optimistic, the GameCube's triggers were garbage.
Good to hear this game is great. Will be picking it up some time later down the line. Also I LOL everytime RGT or Beatemup Wood talk about Crash Team Racing. Cause I agree with everything both of you said about it in your reviews. I swear everytime I mention the difficulty and rubberbanding I get HAMMERED HARD by the online CTR fanboy community.
Love how real it looks like but then Sim racing can only be enjoyed with a real steering wheel. What steering wheel can I use on the switch that doesn't cost a bomb?
I love this game on PC. Along with a 900° driving wheel and VR headset GRID Autosport is fun as heck. Maybe I'll give the Switch Version at some point too, just for fun.

It’s accessible without being too sim heavy. A good balance between arcade and hyper realism.

I have to wonder if nintendo will make racing wheel thing for this game or if lovtech steering wheel will work on the switch as well

I love this game on PC.
Along with a 900° driving wheel and VR headset GRID Autosport is fun as heck.
Maybe I'll give the Switch Version at some point too, just for fun.
