This classic game show is my top ten/twenty game shows of the seventies and the eighties!!! Jack Barry was among my favorite hosts!!! RIP!!! Watching these episodes brings me back down memory lane!!!!
I don’t think they should’ve excepted his last answer. He pronounce the word rodeo incorrectly. The way he pronounced it is the name of a street in Beverly Hills. What he was referring to is pronounced differently.
This must be from a 1982 rerun because the music commercial has songs that were popular from that year. And the 1982 Ford EXP featured in a dealership ad too.
Yes it was. It was a rerun shown on NBC affiliate WFLA in Tampa in November 1982. Someone uploaded this, an episode of a 1980 rerun of Card Sharks, and intro to the Noon news on here nine years ago but that channel was terminated by RUclips when they posted too many copyright infringed videos including an entire Super Bowl game broadcast. I salvaged and downloaded the Card Sharks episode and posted it here but I wish I had the end of this episode and the Noon newscast.
This was a rerun from late 1982, as the Blast Off record commercial consists of songs that were hits in Summer and Fall 1982 and an Xmas commercial is seen. It's the 1981-82 season and not the 1982-83 season as the 1982-83 season doesn't mention the car for five wins coming out of the first commercial break and the 1981-82 season did.

And the first TJW season with the players making their entrances. There actually was the end part of this episode that included the audience game winner facing the Devil and the rest of the closing of this episode.
Thanks for uploading this! Do you have the final portion of the episode? Not just for the end of the episode but the original uploader of this put it up and had more Tampa area commercials and the opening to WFLA’s Noon newscast on that day in 1982.
It’s not this posters fault. The person who originally posted this had the rest of the audience spin on another video but his account was killed due to too many copyright violations. I have the Card Sharks episode that preceded this on my channel.
One of my favorite game shows.
0:12 - The stinger playing as Jack Barry made his entrance reminds me SO MUCH of the old 1980s Hanna-Barbera cartoon episode title card cues.

Downloading a copy of this just for the commercials of my childhood. The MINI-POPS! Jesus wept! 😂
re: the Audience Game: early, but by now they did away with the "take another spin if you don't like your first one" rule.

Back when tv was wholesome
Mr. Barry was in his eleventh season of The Joker’s Wild when this fall 1981 episode aired in November!!!
The Joker's Wild ran three seasons on CBS in 1972 and nine seasons on syndication starting in 1977.
21:37 $49 down for a car? Not $4900 down, $49?

What happened in the audience game, did she beat the devil or did the devil beat her or does she walk away?
"My fantasy from the lyman-howe studios in millerville-city luzerne-county ioml here's your chance to face the devil" 🇺🇸📺🎤🤔🎤🤔🎤🤔😈📹.
As well as the first season with the blue neon set and the audience game.
Yet the 1978 Face the Devil cue is still there.

@@Rlotpir1972 Yep. But I meant the music hadn't changed this season. I think next one would change over to the Bullseye stinger.

First season with Charlie O'Donnell as announcer:)

On all Barry and Enright game shows from 1981-1986.
And the first season with the new set.
Why did Jay leave?
@@manofmanyinterests His daughter committed suicide in 1981 and took time off from work for a while.
The judge should have corrected Jack @ 4:09 by saying “That’s Steve Lawrence.”
This is from a Florida telecast.
You don't say!
Where was it filmed? It seems like a mall.
When did this set debut?
1981-1982 season.
Lucy Aguilar is from Guadalajara.
