Hi I have a 2009 GMC Acadia and we put a pioneer DMH-160BT touch screen but the radio out is not working what do I need to do for the also my iPhone will ring through it but it’s not letting me Program the numbers in there
Hey JP! Don't know if you're still active or not, but I need your help. My car is the 2012 chevy traverse which is basically identical to this car. My car has the rear seat entertainment package (TV, IR headphones, rear seat tuner and rear seat climate controls.) I know harnesses and interfaces exist to retain the screen and headphones, but will the rear seat controls still work (such as different audio source for rear and climate controls?) Thank you!
rear climate controls should still be retained and the harness we usually use to keep the rear seat entertainment working with the new aftermarket radio it is called the HRN-AV-GM5 made by maestro
So the wire harness only connects the radio but it doesn't make the steering wheel controls work. You have to buy another module and install it separately
If you buy the right deck it will. Just make sure you read the abilities of the new stereo. I am putting a boss in 2012 gmc acadia. It is from Walmart but it was $300, and it has many capabilities. One of them is steering wheel control, and it has back up camera hook up
hey jp i have the same model n year i need to know what kind of wire hardness i need i have a 2008 gmc acadia same radio as your video please comment back
To find out check under the steering wheel for a amplifier if you have one you need a amplified radio adapter if you don't you need a regular non amplified afapter
I'm wondering the same thing. I just bought 10in touch screen android and I gotta pick up that wiring harness tomorrow that is used in the video but I have factory TV in the back that flips down. Will that still work and show what's on the touch screen because I'm sure one of the 4 plugs on the back of the factory stereo should be for that flip down correct?
check the wiring on the speakers make sure you connections are good and not loose or touching each other. if thats all good then check the speakers. may be time to upgrade
Just got one of these cars, great video!
Does an 07 acadia require a special wire harness. I was told I needed one with an adapter so alerts and blinkers would still work?
This works with Acadias up to 2012. I just ordered a new radio so this will be very helpful when I go to install it.
what type of wiring harness i need for this gmc 2008 acadia having trouble finding the right 1
I am too did you ever find out which one it is?

What brand of stereo did you used to replaced the broken one? and where can i can i buy a stereo for a 2008 GCM Acadia?
Its a Kenwwod but unfortunately they discontinued this model
Can I still use the steering wheel controls with the new head unit. Does it come with some connector to make it work?

The RP5-GM31 listed does retain the steering wheel controls, along with OnStar and BOSE if equipped.
