This is one of my favorite movies to watch during the horror season. I don't know what it is about this movie, but it never gets old.
To me it's that it's so well made that the effects still hold water (so to speak 😅) and also that it's not the "usual suspects" who die/survive.
"DEEPEST! BLUEST!.... MY HEAD IS LIKE A SHARK'S FIN!"
I'm surprised no one in the comments mentioned that the license plate in the sharks mouth at the beginning of the movie is the same license plate found in the stomach of the shark in the movie Jaws found
One of my fav shark movies! Was obsessed with LL and the parrot when I was younger 😅 plus you have the og punisher and Janice from the sopranos. Such a good cast
This movie terrified me as a kid… so I got older and watched it 20x more times 😅 lol crazy
Lololol 👍🏿
Ok imagine this... VHS back in the day and it was me my mom my sister and our cousin watching this movie and day too... When the damn shark flipped and grabbed his arm it was so sudden that all four of us screamed at the same time.... Still laughing very hard at this scene lmao remembering that one...
I was so scared of that scene that I always skipped it by fast forwarding the movie on rewatches.
Finally someone that understood Susan's POV and was rooting for her despite them removing all the scenes that show her being vulnerable.
Fun fact, Susan was supposed to make it to the end just like you predicted but when giving the test-runs people HATED her character and thought that since she was to blame for everything that she should pay a cost so they decided to change the ending last minute and removed all her scenes they had used up to make her more likable.
LL Cool J was definitely a relatable character, my favorite in the movie cause that woulda been my attitude the whole time 🤣
I love the fact that you understood Susan's assignment and that she wasn't fucking evil like everyone labels her as even tho she was stuck up or at least too focused on her work. There's a deleted scene of her giving a speech at her birthday party that better illustrates her character. Mad they kept it out
I'll never understand why people hated her character. She's kind of like John Hammond; had good intentions, just went about it in the wrong way. Also, she wasn't the only one involved in this. 😂
Rofl. I saw this movie for the first time on my 16th birthday on a bus trip with my school. My seat mate lied to me when I asked if Cool died. I was so mad about the bird, and he told me Cool died and she didn't. Pissed me off til the end. Messed up to lie to me on my birthday lol.
That license plate was the same one they had in Jaws.
was so excited when i saw u did this movie ive seen it toooo many times love LL cool j and the underwater chaos ugh its a masterpiece 💜💜
I've watch this movie every time it came on. I didn't expect Samuel to get ate up
I’ve taken a lot of flack from people over the years whenever I mention I love this film, so I learned to keep quiet about it. But at least here I can say it. My three shark movies are Jaws, Deep Blue Sea, and Open Water. And the whole point is that they are all so different.
Hey, man, have a little faith…the director of this movie loved working with LL Cool J, and would never kill him off! They came to be good friends, and the director cast him in another movie you should check out, a serial killer movie called Mindhunters. Similar level of tension.
Its always good to meet another Deep Blue Sea lovers. Its same thing when I mention I don´t understand why Cutthroat Ilsnad was failure and I enjoyed. The amount of flack I have gotten but I stand behind my words.
This is such an underrated shark movie, man. Jaws will always be the bar, but Deep Blue Sea is my second-favorite for so many reasons.
This is better than Jaws.
I was not expecting Samuel Jackson to get killed and they got em in the middle of his speech 🤣🤣
This is my second favorite shark movie, (after Jaws). You may like my third favorite, "The Shallows"... it's pretty fun
We need a directors cut of deep blue sea because this is legit a beautiful film and it deserves so much more recognition for going tf off !
I only now am realizing that both LL Cool J and Samuel L Jackson come back together in the 2003 film " SWAT" ,One of my all time favorites. I never realized that wow !
This movie gives me hella nostalgia 🤣
I knew for a FACT that you were gonna jump a few times😂😂😂😂
When I watched this in Asia, as a kid, LL Cool J's character was the first black person I ever saw in my life. Taking out the shark etc I found so cool, heroic moment
This movie scared the shit outta me as a kid but we loved it more than jaws in my house.
Yes same
@33:48, Dude wen Sam Jackson got chomped up during his great motivational speech, the audience in theater fell out laughing.
My very smooth, unruffled dad reacted in the teacher like Major just did. 😂
It made my year.
This is a pretty good movie actually. Samuel well he's very "HANDS ON." HAHAHAHAHA
Just got home from work and couldn't wait to see your reaction to this movie. I love Thomas Jane as an actor
One of my favorite shark movies growing up is called "Red Water". The only thing I'll say is it takes place in a Louisiana bayou. If you liked Jaws and Deep Blue Sea, i think you'll like Red Water as well.
I loved this movie when I went and seen, in the theater, the weekend right before I went to the beach.
Not even 10 minutes into the reaction and I’m already on your channel, subbed, and got a playlist for the next 12 hours of your reactions! 😂😂😂 keep it up, you’re incredible!
Such an underrated film. I'm glad you liked it. I catch so much heat because I say that I like it better than Jaws lol. I'm actually not a fan of the first Jaws (its boring to me lol) but I love part 2 and 3.
This movie is my favorite non-jaws shark movie. I saw it on DVD when I was 13 (I had permission). Especially since I was obsessed with sharks growing up.
From the first video I watched from you you reminded me of cool J been waiting on this reaction 😂
33:48 That is the most hilarious reaction I've ever seen. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤫
My favorite shark movie this is one of my favorite creature features as a kid
I have seen this a dozen times I love it 10/10
I think the glass broke because the explosion weakened the whole exterior or something
I love this movie. My ex in high school brought it over to watch and he never got the movie back. Lol
ive seen this before and ur reaction really gave me anxiety lol like i aint know who got got!
Freakin love you Major!!!!! Great reaction!!’ ❤
Everytime I watch this it hits. Love it
Best reaction I’ve seen so far
Great reaction dude I've seen this film once years ago but for some reason I had it in my head that Paul walker was the blonde shark whisperer I was wrong lol. Need to watch it again as there's alot I miss remember. Think that's what happens when you watch a movie as young child or teenager you take it alot differently than how you do as an adult
Great! One of my all time favourite shark movies.
Deep blue sea always my favorite shark shows to watch.
Lolololololol You Are Funnyyyy!!! 😂😂😂 Your reaction made my mornin!!! Lol Keep up the Great reactions!!!! 👍🏿
Like jaws, the use of mechanical sharks looks so much better than CGI.
I remember when this first came out.. i enjoyed it.. thomas jane got alot more roles after this… he was always a character in the background if movies
Man I’ve watched this movie dozens of times but what I really need to do is watch it high & laugh
This is top tier I JUST received the movie poster and frame for my new apartment. It's my first one up
The helicopter scene is terrifying no matter how many times I see it.
Oh I love this movie just as much as Jaws. And my boy LL survived that shit 😂
Don't forget Thomas Jane played The Punisher.
Greetings from Finland man!!! This was directed by Renny Harlin and he's from Finland 2!!! You should definitely check out Cliffhanger and The long kiss goodnight and die hard 2 also directed by him.. I mean if u haven't seen those yet??? "I'll be back" 😎
Released in 1999 I saw it in 2000 at around 14 years old or almost 14 loved it since, fun popcorn movie.
Not gonna lie, this movie paired with Anaconda(1997) Komodo(1999) and Godzilla(1998) made up my movie weekends with my Granny when I was little.
I always loved this movie! great reaction
I have loved this movie since it came out, and I was like 3 at the time lol. Favorite shark movie. Probably in my top 10 movies in general. Loved the reaction.

Great reaction ! One of the best shark movies ever, deffo on my top 3. If you're into shark movies you should check also check out Open Water en 47 meters down. Would love to your reaction on Dark Water (croc movie based on true events) and Jigsaw (the 1st one)
All great suggestions.
This is a great shark movie! Try Open Water, I watched it before a snorkeling trip in Caribbean!
Before the MCU, Carter/Thomas Jane was the Punisher.
The Meg is really good tbh if you like shark movies.
This movie is all kinds of fun, and utterly lampshades so many shark and monster movie tropes (I mean the black side character and the criminal are the survivors, the beautiful lead scientist and the big name actor die). As for the glass breaking, I consider it greatly weakened from the multiple explosions. I can suspend disbelief that much for a movie with giant super smart mako sharks.
Great job 👏
I truly enjoyed this Shark movie beside Jaws it's been a long time we have had good movie on Sharks.
This is one of my favorite Shark movies ever!
I love this movie more than jaws, and jaws was my favorite movie before I saw this.
LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!
13:54 Hard to believe that less than a decade after this movie came out, LL Cool J and Samuel Jackson would costar again in SWAT.
Theyre Mako sharks! U can tell by their teeth. Honestly finding out Susan was written to live but was killed cause some audiences didnt like her was one of the most infuriating pieces of cinematic information ever given to me. I wish all three of them had lived. Regardless it's still my favorite shark movie
Is there ANY movie that Samuel L. Jackson ISN'T in?? LOL (This one was short but it "fuck'n counts"!! 🤣)
Love u so much 🥰🥰sending love all the way from Trinidad 🇹🇹🇹🇹💖
Love you too
@@MajorReacts I'd really like to see u react to APOCALYPTO 🥰🥰I think u would love it!!!
Personally I like this better than Jaws. Can you react to "Cujo" and "The Breed"
I give this movie a 10❤ I love it.
You should really watch The Meg after this one.
Just seeing the name reminds me of Dave Chappelle playing Samuel L. Jackson's beer saying 'A fuckin shark ate me!' at least that's the gist of it.
Yeah that bit from dave is great
Excelent reaction
I'd like to see you react to APOCALYPTO 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Fun fact: the license plate at the beginning was an ohmage to Jaws and the license plate in that shark. Respect! Good movie, but not close to Jaws.
Just so you know Major
I’m the original cut Susan survived the attack!
But test audiences hated so much that it to be reshoot. So a chance of the original ending is slim.
50:59 BEEEEEEYYYAAAHHHHH😂😂😂😂😂😂
absolutely gutted i subbed to your patreon for the full reaction but it's not on there - saw you had some issues, will it be reuploaded?
100/10
Awesome
You want to check out the film Deep Rising, not a shark movie but quite entertaining.
I love this movie 🥰
50:28 he should be dead from the blast 😂😂😂
Best shark movie for sure
Hope all is well bro havnt seen u post in a while or did u get another channel?
Watch THE MEG 2nd best shark movie imo
Then you gotta see Megalodon if you think Jaws a big fish lol.
One of my favorite movies in the horror genre! LL was Black AF the whole movie!
U should watch species & case 39
I would like to watch Stargate 1994 if you haven’t seen it would be nice to watch it with you. Hope you and your family are good bro✌️💯
Aye do react to "The Shallows" if you haven't. It is also a good movie.
Carter bring me some sushi I love this movie
Didn't this movie feel like jurassic park and jaws mixed together
I'm still not over Susan's death.
Need to watch The Meg another shark movie very good
