Please do "The Ballad of Curtis Loew." Another really great story but with an unequaled mix of gentle country & southern rock funkyness that'll give you goosebumps every time you hear it. Satisfactiom guaranteed!
This is my favorite song by them with a great message. Great southern rock band from the 60's-80's. It is very sad what happened to this band in losing so many members in a plane crash in 1977. They had lots of great songs such as "Sweet Home Alabama", "Call Me The Breeze", "Tuesday's Gone", "That Smell", "The Ballad Of Curtis Loew", "What's Your Name", "Gimme Three Steps", "Saturday Night Special" etc.
#respect - I admire those in a younger generation fully understand this song. God loved the song so much, he booked them to tour heaven on October 20, 1977.
Me too!!!! But I had to throw 3 fingers up for my 3 sons 😂♥️😂♥️ my others were minors at the time but hope to dance with them to this also at their wedding one day ♥️
My grandson's play this, as well as anything LS performed. But, he simplicity of the lyrics is the beauty that has carried it down 3 generations and hopefully to a 4th.❤
Great reaction. Thanks. I found you when you reacted to Tom Macdonald. I don’t always agree with you but you gave me something to think about. You discussed in a deep fashion and gave me a different perspective. In other words you made me think, challenged my perspectives and I think that’s one of the best compliments I can give. Thanks again.
Skynyrd is my favorite. Such talented musicians, and in later years they added The Honkettes, whose vocals were angelic. Such talent musicians and songwriters.
3 of my favorite songs by them: Ballad of Curtis Lowe That Smell Gimme 3 steps Shinedown did a cover of this song you need to check it out! Brent Smith nails it!!!
The last performance you should see is Freebird, 1977 Oakland, California. This was months before the plane crash. The drummer and the Oakland is not the original drummer.
Four Walls of Raiford, coming home, am I losing, Mr Banker, was I right or wrong, swamp music and many more take your pick they're all great Lynyrd Skynyrd one of the best bands there ever were! Take your pick you won't be dissatisfied I suggest listen to all of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd not one bad song in my opinion I just thought of at least two more. The song things going on and Mississippi Kid
ALWAYS more Skynyrd: SWEET HOME ALABAMA SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL (anti gun song) CALL ME THE BREEZE T FOR TEXAS - they only performed this live. It’s on one live album, but you need to see this band. The Knebworth festival, in England, 1976. I KNOW A LITTLE THAT SMELL (anti drug song)
if you dont want to do live videos or the official video, then maybe find a lyric video, i think it would help to better connect with a song... not that you really need that for this one though...
Some songs are perfect. This is one of them.
One of the greatest bands ever. Can't go wrong with any of their songs.
Great Callback to Proverbs! Yes, this is a song about teaching young men how to be good men!
" Forget you lust for the rich man's gold" .....root of all evil
Ronnie Van Zant was a poet .
Please do "The Ballad of Curtis Loew." Another really great story but with an unequaled mix of gentle country & southern rock funkyness that'll give you goosebumps every time you hear it. Satisfactiom guaranteed!

Yes, yes...my fave as well!!!!
All of your requests are straight up fact
Yep! All those!
I second that! ❤
This song has been covered by several modern day bands with Jelly Roll being the latest. None can touch this original version. Not even close IMO.
No one can ever be Ronnie VanZant ever or even Steve Gaines on the electric guitar
Top 5 song ever made
Don't you worry, you'll find yourself, follow your heart and nothing else. Gets me everytime. Yeah. Peace
These lyrics are the guide to a man having a wonderful life! Excellent reaction Mugs! I love Skynard! Their lyrics are some of the best.
Well said!
Thank you kindly for another reaction to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
#respect - I admire those in a younger generation fully understand this song. God loved the song so much, he booked them to tour heaven on October 20, 1977.
There is profundity in simplicity. Excellent review.
This and Curtis Lowe both get me right in the emotions. Been said before. Can’t go wrong with any Skynyrd song
Makes me emotional every time I hear this track….. ❤️
Don't sleep on the Bassist as well! Leon Wilkeson is slaying it! The groove.....
This song will be played when I'm buried! Won't be much longer now. 👍👴
If you haven't listened to "that smell," .....great song and awesome guitar solo.
I danced with my son at his wedding to this❤❤ 10 years ago

You should check out Call Me The Breeze. You'll love the solos.
I love the way you really listen to the music. You close your eyes and I can tell you are into it and really understanding.
I've always loved this one. And like many of their tunes, it just gets better with time. Another one to consider is "Coming Home". Great reaction!
That was Bob Burns on the drums the original drummer. Later on, he was replaced by Artemis pow.
Pyle
Alabama. Was the place to go when you need to unwind and put out one of the greatest albums of all time. ❤
Feel it in my soul❤
This is song that other song writers go….damn I wish I wrote that😁
Mug, you're killin' it with Americana! Music that modern American culture was formed by. Somewhere we made a wrong turn, don't you think?
I do, when music became a business i believe...
Shinedown did a cover of this that is very, very good too!
Great reaction! Check out “I Know a Little”, “The Ballad of Curtis Lowe” , and “The Needle and The Spoon” for starters. 😎

Timeless is the perfect way to describe it. Great review; thanks.
That Smell is soooo good! Great reaction to this one.
Triple guitarists in the band all bad ass ..They also added the Blackfoot guitarist to the line up Ricky Medlocke later..

Grew up to this music. Love your reaction❤❤
My favorite southern rock song.
Can’t duplicate this band. Their tragic end in an airplane crash broke my heart. Great one to do is “ Two Steps (Toward the Door)”
May not be my favorite song of all time but this song I do consider my theme song to life. Great reaction!
this is a song i sang to my son when he was a baby. the other was Jackson Browne's Only Child.

Not this song, Bob Burns on drums… Artimus started with the band on their 3rd album ( Nothing Fancy)

I don’t see that you’ve rested to The Allman Brothers? Whipping Post has a similar southern rock vibe.

SWEET HOME ALABAMA
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL (anti gun song)
CALL ME THE BREEZE
T FOR TEXAS - they only performed this live. It’s on one live album, but you need to see this band. The Knebworth festival, in England, 1976.

Great review, Much love to you my brother.
Yes sir! If you love blues and a trio of guitars, you'll love them.
But start doing reactions from the first album, them move forward
And thank you!!
Check out L.S. Songs
"That smell"
"Curtis Loew"
These guys were so good and poignant in their lyrics, that God wanted them back home.
Undoubtedly one of their best. Glad you’re jamming this!
For a different Skynyrd vibe try On The Hunt.
First listen should be studio.
L S the best❤
Try "The Ballad of Curtis Loew"
Their sound is distinctive that's why you hear Freebird. Tool sounds like Tool, Zeppelin sounds like Zeppelin. Classic
Free Bird is the same LP.
Simple man? How simple we talkin?
Freebird has six chords simple man has three C-G-am.
if you dont want to do live videos or the official video, then maybe find a lyric video, i think it would help to better connect with a song... not that you really need that for this one though...
Drummer== Artimus Pyle.
Bob Burns on the album track.
