Picked up a SC300 last Christmas at Costco, $200. It’s a great tool, especially with the app. I think it’s not accurate on total distance, but carry is spot on.
You are the only one who talks about the video feature. Can you elaborate on how you set up your phone to take the video? Is it on a tripod? How high? I'm assuming the app is open to the video feature and the monitor knows when you start your swing...
Great video. SC300i looks great and big improvement on the SC300. Does the unit have to be placed behind you, as I would also like a video of my swing face on ? Am torn between buying this and the Rapsodo.
I'm trying to get a video on that exact comparison out soon actually. But in the meantime... yes it does need to be behind you, but the Rapsodo does as well. Of the two, I'd choose this one tbh. Rapsodo has the cool factor and the shot traces are next level, but accuracy-wise and the fact I don't have to use my phone for it to work makes this the winner for me.

How does this handle drivers? I have found most of these "cheaper" units tend to be pretty far off on drivers and other long clubs. I am trying to find one that is the most accurate for these.

I have the SC300 (not 300i). I’ve not seen a mode that you can use for swing speed training. The product pages seem to indicate that is a 200 feature only. Sadly
Nice review, I just picked one up. So far so good. One question: how to think a typical range ball carry distance will compare to a real ball? I know on the course I hit my pro v a bit farther than what my sc indicates.

I wonder if the 300i needs to be at specific angle. I am thinking about attaching it to the bottom of a tripod for quick setup while recording rounds of golf.
@@LetsPlayThru I figured that. Just wondering it angle it is resting at it important. Since it might be more upgright attached to bottom of tripod than the stock stand. I try and keep pace of play up while recording and adding another peice of kit may slow me down. But if it is fixed to a set location on tripod it is just drop tripod in spot and go swing

Enjoyed setting the target to learn my new Lob wedge. Definitely saved practice time AND the bundle was so worth it! And am very satisfied with Play Better.

you reference a let's play thru bundle, but link takes you to the unit only and the various standard bundles from there. So is it pick whichever you want or just get the case and battery bundle that is the normal one that's like an extra $15 I think. Also have you tried it indoors? I bought a rapsodo and it just would not work into a net in my garage, that would be my primary space to use it. I shipped the rapsodo back yesterday. thanks, love the content.

(Got it yesterday) Top notch service from Play Better. I had tried rapsodo first and in my net is was too finicky and didn't work and my primary 99% use is my garage net. Had to be a white ball etc. So with this unit, set it up, BOOM! working immediately, tracking shots. Was an eye opener on my distances, I am coming back from back injury and my distances are not the same. LOL Also this unit does not care what color the ball, which is way better because the net turns white golf balls black/grey fairly quickly. Super happy with the device and it is already helping my game. Thanks a ton for your review.

Do you like the SC300i better than the Garmin G80? I have an SC200, and it's pretty good on ball speed because it measures the ball speed for like 12', but the rest is all calculated based on fixed numbers for launch, spin, and club speed.
I like them both for different reasons. The G80 is so portable and doubles as an on-course GPS. The Swing Caddie has more robust data and the video feature makes it great for practice. It also keeps track of stats. Can't go wrong with either really, just will depend on your needs.
I can also confirm it auto records. Setup was pretty simple. Saves at 5sec clips. Drawing is basic, but useful. Shapes and stat overlays don’t seem to be exported, but I can live with that. Keeps it clean and I can import into Coaches Eye, V1 or whatever

I was curious about that as well. As far as I can tell in my research, the sc200 plus is the only swing caddie model that has that.

It needs to be at mat height, that’s important for getting accurate readings.

Yes, spin is found within the app. It's not onscreen on the device but you'll see it listed in the stats.

Does it auto start stop the swing capture video like the flightscope?
Yes. I had to dial in the right setting but once I found the right rhythm it worked flawlessly
