Wheat Flour - 1 cup
All purpose flour -1/2 cup
Sooji -1/5 cup
Ghee -1/2 cup
Cardamom powder -1/4 tsp
Desiccated coconut - 2 tbsp

I'm Assamese , and since childhood I have loved eating thekua , and get excited for thekua during chath puja. I always used to wait for people to come and give me their thekua Prasad . So this time I tried to make my own thekua by learning from you , and guess what ! It's the best thekua I have made , everyone in my family loved it , only chini thodi kaam ho gayi thi ❤ thankyou so much ❤
I had my friend from Jharkhand Hazaribagh. She used to study with me..
Last year during Chatth puja, she gave me a tiffin full of thekua and other items.
I forgot lunch dinner for 2 days..
Those were so fulfilling .
I had eaten them all alone

Chhath puja ke thekua ka atta thora mota yani mahin nahin hota hai. Aate me suddh ghee aur Gur dala jata hai. Phir mix karne ke baad suddh ghee mein hi chhana jata hai. Waisa swad phir agle Chhathwale thekua me hi milta hai. Ye to normal dinon wala theua ki recipe apne batai hai.

Your recipes are very nice.
Small observation: crystal sugar melts while frying and sugar syrup goes into oil, as some people suggested it is probably better to use palm jaggery powdered or sugar powdered.

I tried these, but instead of ghee i used oil with some fresh malai, and they tirned out amazing. Everyone at my home loved it. But they were giving mixed expressions on it's name 😅. Because, I am from Pakistan and no one ever heard of this. Though we have some similiar sweets like this. But, it's name came off as something unusual.
