Plenty of new traders want to make a lot of money fast. But they set their sights on difficult trades or go for home runs.
Here’s the problem with that ... They leave behind all sorts of low-hanging fruit. There are a TON of easy and simple trades out there - if you know how to find them!
For me, it’s all about patterns. Why make it harder than you need to? Focus on the easiest patterns to find simple setups.
In this video, I talk about one of the easiest yet most effective patterns I know - the first green day on OTC runners.
With this pattern, you buy an OTC market runner into the close. You sell it the next morning, into a gap up or potential spike.
There are tons of benefits to this pattern. For one? You can hold overnight. The pace isn’t breakneck, so there’s less stress with this pattern.
Another benefit? You’re taking advantage of market inefficiencies that already exist. No need to force things, the market is doing the hard work for you!
How do I know this pattern so well?
Because I’ve seen it play out for over 20+ years.
Patterns repeat themselves over and over in the stock market. The stocks and sectors themselves will change, but the basic pattern doesn’t change. The key is to learn it well enough so that you recognize it when it presents itself in different forms.
This is a pattern that one of my top students Jack Kellogg, aka Jackaroo, uses a LOT. With this pattern, he earned over six figures in profits last year!
(Note: Jack’s results are far from typical. He’s dedicated time to build his trading knowledge and hone exceptional skills. Most traders lose money. Always remember trading is risky … never risk more than you can afford.)
He’s not the only one … other top students like Dom Mastromatteo, Kyle Williams, Michael Goode, Mark Croock, and Tim Grittani all use this pattern.

Just starting to trade OTCs but I'm enjoying the learning process even if it's very frustrating at times. EVERYONE IS SLOW UNTIL THEY KNOW. It's all about learning new things.

I like the idea of trading OTC's, and I want to be able to recognize patterns to succeed at them. My current road block is not having a large enough account for OTC profits to make up the difference in the fee ($6.95) to make an actual profit. I've decided I'm going to only do OTC's at first once in a great find, but mostly try and stick to low price listed stocks so I can bank the profits for exponential growth over time. The length of time I know it'll take to study before making smart decisions about trading and profits is overwhelming, but I am determined to learn what I can the best I can to equipt me for when the time is right for me. I have to reread "The complete penny stock course" again but I am starting to understand through reading, watching your videos and observing time and sales how this pattern is a money maker. There seems to be a tendency to over complicate trading with too much going on, indicators etc. It can't be this easy, lol. I will end up in your chat room soon enough. You are a very good teacher. This is really one of the easiest pattern newbies can take advantage of like you said.I should have focused more on this pattern when i started my journey in April of this year but was trading listed stocks .Focusing more on OTC now.
I literally tweeted you about this last night. That is almost as awesome as the comment about introducing a slow trader to a companion so they can have slow kids. I literally laughed out loud!
I traded my first OTC stock DECN recently. I got about 30% profit. Though I did not make it in the first green day, it was more due to news, volume and possibly i saw it as supernova. But when i look back now, the day before i bought was the first green day. I will now try to use this pattern to work through. Reading and going through the videos. Making attempts to trade when i want to try the patterns. Still way to go.

I'm still watching your videos, learning all I can, before I try any trading. So, I've never traded OTC stocks. I don't know yet if I will be a good trader or not, but I'm trying to learn.

I picked a stock last night(paper trade) I was absent the next morning and got back to my computer around 11:30AM. It had gone up $0.25 and I would have sold, came back in the afternoon and it was down. I will keep paper trading until I gain confidence.

Regarding what the definition of "first green day" is: Is this talking specifically about when you're looking at a candlestick chart? And if so, do they need to be solid or hollow green candles?
Also, does there need to be a bunch of opposite colored candles for a specific number of days in order for something to be considered a "first green day"?
Or is it just a day where the close is higher than just the previous day's close?
I shall watch out for the First Green Day pattern with a history of spikes. Thanks again, TIm.

This is a great strategy. OTC stocks are not my favourite though but I'm not opposed to making money if the opportunity arises. Webull and Yahoo Finance don't even show the real time prices or volume. Even if you go to OTC market's web page, you don't get real time quotes unless you refresh the page constantly. Even my bank doesn't give real time quotes for OTC stocks unless I constantly refresh the order page. I would need a better set up to trade OTC.

If an OTC is about to go onto NASDAQ, should I buy before it goes, hoping for a rise? Or wait and let it drop? IN SHORT: Does an OTC typically rise first when it hits NASDAQ?

High percent gainer closing strong near it's highs with a catalyst. If you're watching big gainers midday you can spot a strong OTC and trade in the afternoon or hold overnight. Not that difficult to understand
