Thanks for the sharing this videos. I'm going to Kerry for solo hiking too this friday and start this part of the kerryway on saturday.
I hope I can make it up the whole way, but you encouraged me to do so.

Thanks a lot. If you allow me a question: is it hard to follow the signs and marks on the way? I saw your little detour and to be honest, I'm a tiny little bit scared of loosing the path :P On "normal" hikingspeed some parts of the way should take up to 10 hours. Not much time for detours :/

Morgothslair there are some points where it becomes a little tricky but I think you become used to how to follow it quite quickly. Make sure to have a map or guide book and you should be fine. It is very well trodden so normally you can easily see the path through the grass. Good luck and enjoy!

I'm well prepared I guess. Map, guide, compass and last but not least gps on my phone if I can't see through the fog :D

great videos...if you were to hike one stage, which one would it be? I'll be in Ireland in a week, but sadly do not have time to do the whole hike. Thanks and great videos

Pat Lillis thanks! Glenbeigh to Caherseveen was a huge treat and has a nice variety of terrain. Also easy to access! Think about that!

Josh Domb did it in June 2018 based on your recommendation...it was great fun and, while cloudy, we still had clear views the whole way

    Hi Josh,

Hey Eoin, there is some mountain work to be done in the black valley which is pretty high and a few of the sections later on involved a good bit of climbing, nothing too precarious though! Have a great trip!
