Ireland is such a beautiful place, and I think this cloudy weather really suits the castles, monasteries and lakes, very mysterious, but yes, the rain part is not so nice. Love the dance in the end
True story. When I visited there I ate so much Irish soda bread that I became constipated. After about 14 days and a lot of laxatives, what came out of me is now infamously known in the area, as the "Great Crap of Dunloe"
That Sir must've been a three flusher? .....actually walked the Gap [same direction] 4/5 times, the first 4 km is pretty tough, but well worth it, and as a bonus there's a Pub at the finish to quench a quick thirst!! Visited the town and the National Park many times, one rarely mentioned spot is Muckross Abbey and it's not far from the hotel featured. There's a Yew tree in the courtyard that's over 600 years old, it's a lovely park to explore and appreciate all the natural native flora and fauna
In the summer of 2001, after leaving The Grand Hotel night club, a lady friend and I walked down to Ross Castle, 'borrowed' a row boat and rowed out to the middle of the lake. As the sun rose, we watched a herd of deer swim from the island to the mainland.
What a magnificent castle. Very interesting information about deer. It is so nice sit near the fireplace at the end of the day after long, energy consuming adventure. Never been in Ireland yet and I have to agree that it is so beautiful with amazing scenery and wildlife.
Great video! Best yet. You managed to make me wish I had taken a long uphill bike ride in the rain AND got Queen's Bicycle Race in my head. Well done sir :)
Killarney is SO much fun! I performed there as part of a tour I'm doing where I'm only performing in hostels. The Killarney show was extra special. I just posted a video from that trip, actually!
So awesome that you got to attend TBEX in Ireland! I hope to make one next year. So cute that the dog went on the tour with you. Look at him leading the boat ride :) Great info on the activities and history of Ireland. Loved this video!
Awsome Video here- I was in ireland for a week 2 yeas ago in august and I think it was just an awsome place super culture and people - very inviting and a very beautiful landscape - History in a Huge way as well !! - even the food was super!
I might have to look at doing a TBEX in the near future for the activities. I’m going to Ireland next year so I look forward to seeing this great country
That looked like such a fun tour, it's too bad the weather didn't cooperate but that's Ireland for you. The bike ride looked tough. I remember how steep the roads were there, but definitely worth it.
I cycle the gap after work in the evening very few people in the long summer evening, the rain means you had less people at the gap.l think you boot man is duckse his father yost to row tourist on that trip , Jenrations of there family were boot men, grate vid by the wt
In Ireland the weather is our tourist filter. If the weather was great we would be like Italy and Spain where the locals hold anti-tourist protests and some places are even introducing anti-tourism changes to enter cities like Venice. Our weather means we will never be over-run with tourists. Welcome to Ireland! 💚☘
Is this the first video that you filmed with the Canon G7x II? The quality of this video and the story you told is definitely one of your best! Gotta love the rain of Ireland - that's what makes it so green though with stunning scenery! Great video Dave!

You have a point. It may not be the same without the slightly mysterious ambiance.

Lol. Is there a monument to that anywhere?
cordellscott Um... Thanks for sharing?
@@DaveOnArrival According to his channel he's a Trump supporter. That's their "humor".
@@DaveOnArrival The great crap has been preserved and bronzed and stands as a testament to itself. Just ask one of the locals when you're in the area.

I laughed at your commentary. It was such a rainy day that day, but it was so fun! I was kayaking, but now I want to go biking! Thanks for sharing!
MrsMajor Hoff your prebex looked fun too. And wet haha.
Even with the rain, that is gorgeous. Great video, Deeve. ;)
Haha, thanks, Andy
