You have to tighten the nuts on the rubber bushings while pushing up the wheel into the normal riding Position otherwise your bushings will be under double tension
Hey Trevor, Courtney from the UK. Really good video btw. I've just done this on my 2011 Q5. I had problems trying to remove that 16mm pinch bolt for the ball joint. Do you have any suggestions for removing and do you know the part number so that I can order a new one as the edges are getting slightly rounded.
Once it's fully unscrewed, try putting a large screwdriver on the small side of the bolt and driving it out with a hammer. Make sure the strut is disconnected first or else you will have the weight of the car resting on that bolt
First off, your video was a tremendous help. I'm having a hard time aligning the triple square bolt. What was your method and does it matter if it's installed rear to front? Asking because of the interference with the inner tie rod boot. Thx
where are your jack stands placed? maybe a picture with link?
I jacked the car up at the jack point and put the jack stand under the rearward lower arm where it bolts to the body of the car.

@@trinipattan1472 problem is, we can't even get it to loosen right now. We're thinking to apply some heat.
@@courtneyg06 yeah. That should help
Pls am from Nigeria my Q5 after changing spendle control are tie rod end. I can't get wheel alignment anymore why
The tie rod controls the alignment. If you replace those, you MUST get an alignment for the wheels to be straight
