Yes Sir Jason Yankees gotta be Creative & Aggressive. We've been saying this for years, but Cashman always waits untill it's too late. If they sign Fried, they should sign Walker, Flaherty a couple of Relief pitchers like Tanner Scott, Trade to get Kevin Williams, and call it a Day!!!🎉🎉😮
After signing Judge in '22, they brought in Rodon and Kahle. Rodon was at the top of the FA SP class, so hopefully you're right! That Soto deal would be a pretty substantial hit to the payroll and they still have at least 3 (possibly 4) holes to fill. Trades won't be enough.
I'm trading away Cortes, Stroman, and Grisham to clear cap space for Burns. 5 year deal, vesting option on year 6. $30 MIL AAV is what it's going to take. Max Fried is the more attractive option because of that, alone.
Carlos Santana would be my choice for 1b. He's a free agent with no qo attached. He is a switch hitter and won the Gold Glove this season with the Twins. Now due to his age I would only give him a one year. Put him between Judge and Stanton and you lengthen the lineup.
Personally, I think Hal is hesitant spending boo coo dollars on players that miss 1/3 or 1/2 the season. Stanton, Cole and Judge. No team has a bigger count of players that go on the I.L. than the Yankees.
Pitching wise …..could we not as well as Fried go after someone like Montgomery as Ken said in a live you did with a one for one? Say Cortes and also package Stroman with the likes of Arias or Grisham and look for a higher end reliever? I do like the idea of Fried as he is a proper number 2 to back Cole up at moment we have an ace and then no 3’s (ok Gil may get there but for now he isn’t imho a no 2.) even going and trying to get Monty would also offer the possibility of Schmidt being a trade piece coming near to the deadline if we need something else for the post season run. I like Bellinger and think like you said if he has a great year he will opt out (ok he could have a down year and opt in, that’s the chance you have to take imho) freeing money for a move on the likes of Murakami next off season. As far as Hoerner goes I get what you are saying with salary compared to Caleb Durbin, I guess it might come down to what the Cubs want to package as such and what they want in return. Also, although the Yankees appear to like Durbin, maybe they want big league proven as such and letting Caleb have another AAA season, with the option to call him up if they need him for injuries etc might be in the thinking. I do think that they might well move Grisham as the contract they gave him is tradable imo, which is why they gave him that! Burnes although the top name in the FA pitching market, I just fear the money he will want and the years he will want ….Fried isn’t gonna be cheap, in my mind more affordable and less years. I also don’t think that the interest in esp Fried or really any of the names being floated that the Yankees are “interested in” are plan b, I think they are plan a To compliment Soto.
If a trade between the Yankees and Cubs might be possible, I envision sending Marcus Stroman, Will Warren, and TJ Rumfield to the Chicago Cubs with the Cubs sending Cody Bellinger to the Yankees. Another possible trade would be for the Yankees to send Nestor Cortes, Jose Trevino, Yoendrys Gomez, and Oswaldo Cabrera to the San Diego Padres with the Padres sending Luis Arraez to the Yankees.
If you say no, then well, you’re wrong. Nestor is gone after this year. And Stroman likely will be too bc NY will not let him get his 140 innings for 3rd year to vest. And Fried or Burnes will be a HUGE improvement
It better not be just Soto. Yanks need much more. Last week an article revealed Yanks are in lower half of MLB teams in terms of investing their profits back into the team player salaries. Unacceptable! Think about this next time you pay $700 for a box seat. No way with Kahnle. Yanks signed him 2 years ago to save $2 million, rather than signing DRob, who is still available and better than Kahnle. When are the Yankees going to be the Yankees again?
I would trade Cortez, Arias & Grisham to Cubs for Bellinger & a prospect or 2. Sign Kim to play 2B, he is good defensively & has speed. Durbin & Waldo can be the versatility on bench
Jason what do you think Cleveland wants to move Naylor making 12mil in 25. Trade Cortes 8mil so we only added 4 mil to add 1B. Then trade Stroman and Trevino get Fried or Burnes and of course we get Soto.
I'm sold on Fried, he'd be a good fit, seems a little more realistic than Burnes. Cole, Fried, Rodon, Gil, Schmidt a good rotation. Nester to long relief or trade, trade Stroman.
If it came to a choice, I'd probably go with Fried over Burnes. Definitely less money and probably fewer years. Burnes is a better pitcher, but he'll cost too much and will probably be in the declining phase of his career the last 2-3 years of the deal.
Buster Olney from MLB is reporting that Roki Sasaki wants to sign with the Dodgers. Why do the Yankees even bother looking at the Japanese talent? They all want to go to Hollywood.
Rather have Burnes, more reliable, strike out pitcher, work horse just like Cole and he's a year younger than Fried. Don't care if he costs more, he's worth it. 1-2 punch of Cole and Burnes would be dominant.
Cody Bellinger Contract is to much Trent Grisham is on the cheap for the Yankees and His bat and a Ability to hit to the opposite field you keep him as a 4th outfielder. Trade Jose Trevino, You consider trading for Walker Buehler and by all means Resign Juan Soto then sign Corbin Burnes and Max Fried in free agency, trade Marcus Stroman and Nestor and bring back relief pitching in those 2 trades and an infielder if need be.# The Yankees need to Restock that bullpen # Bring Back pitcher Old man David Robertson then get Strong Armed youth to go with him in the bullpen.
i guess 4 titles in this century isn't enough for Redsox fans, plus Celtics winning title last season. while Yankees only win 1 since 09. . they want more? they want soto. stop it.
Yes Sir Jason Yankees gotta be Creative & Aggressive. We've been saying this for years, but Cashman always waits untill it's too late. If they sign Fried, they should sign Walker, Flaherty a couple of Relief pitchers like Tanner Scott, Trade to get Kevin Williams, and call it a Day!!!🎉🎉😮
If they lose Soto I would create a dominate pitching staff signing both Burnes and Fried.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Gil is going to offer in 2025 since he certainly exceeded everyone's expectations this season IMO.
They have mutual interest with Buehler, too. I think they'll add a starter.
Sure would make us more attractive landing spot for Mr Soto
Old news Jason. We all want that to happen.Hopefully some great news by Wednesday.
Happy Friday Jason I think yankees should sign Corbin Burnes or max fried
Here is a trade: tell me what you think:
Crochet and Robert’s for Arias, Vivas, Cortez, Pereza, Stroman
I'm trading away Cortes, Stroman, and Grisham to clear cap space for Burns. 5 year deal, vesting option on year 6. $30 MIL AAV is what it's going to take.
Max Fried is the more attractive option because of that, alone.
What’s the status on Spencer Jones coming up this year at 1st base or the outfield?
Max Fried would be awesome just imagine Cole Fried Rodon Gil Schmidt
Southpaw, soon to be 31. Probably worth a 5 or 6 year contract.
Carlos Santana would be my choice for 1b. He's a free agent with no qo attached. He is a switch hitter and won the Gold Glove this season with the Twins. Now due to his age I would only give him a one year. Put him between Judge and Stanton and you lengthen the lineup.
They have no choice but to be bold. If they want to keep up with the dodgers, they need to sign Burnes, Fried, and fight for Sasaki.
Stop hallucinating. If and I mean big “IF” they get Soto don’t expect much else in the FA pool.
Personally, I think Hal is hesitant spending boo coo dollars on players that miss 1/3 or 1/2 the season. Stanton, Cole and Judge. No team has a bigger count of players that go on the I.L. than the Yankees.

Tanner Scott Carlos estevez maybe those two added bring back Tommy on a cheap Maybe
Good ones will be coming off the board this weekend. Cashman better get a move on here. Putting all your chips on one hand is a no no.
Thanks as always for the videos :-)
Money wise go with Fried.
Heyman “I don’t think Stroman is traded back to the Cubs”
NEither do I
Need pitching.
If a trade between the Yankees and Cubs might be possible, I envision sending Marcus Stroman, Will Warren, and TJ Rumfield to the Chicago Cubs with the Cubs sending Cody Bellinger to the Yankees. WHEN IS TRADE MARKET GOING TO HEAT UP ? I THOUGHT THAT BY THE NEXT SUNDAY TO THURSDAY IN THE MEETINGS THE THINGS WERE GOING TO BE HOT
Are you going to the Winter Meetings Jason
I’m not but I’ve got Someone who is
Fried would be a good fit ! Stroman unfortunately not jiving with Blake . Package him with Cortez for good prospects!
If you say no, then well, you’re wrong.

I think if they add Fried or Burnes to Soto they go cheaper at 1B
I dunno if this is true but just saw something that the Astros have made an offer to Bregman ….and it’s not $300m lol I think it’s $167 for 6 years
Would DJ LeMahieu be tradable along with Marcus Stroman with a top end prospect
I would trade nester Cortez and Marcus stroman go to a different team and go after Max
I'm sold on Fried, he'd be a good fit, seems a little more realistic than Burnes. Cole, Fried, Rodon, Gil, Schmidt a good rotation. Nester to long relief or trade, trade Stroman.
Why not trade Rodon to the Giants and trade Stromen. Then sign Fried and Burns. They can then go after Bellinger and sign Soto.
In a perfect world definitely take burnes over max
If it came to a choice, I'd probably go with Fried over Burnes. Definitely less money and probably fewer years. Burnes is a better pitcher, but he'll cost too much and will probably be in the declining phase of his career the last 2-3 years of the deal.
OK😂😂

No way Yankees are getting Soto in Burnes I’m just being realistic Juan maybe Max but idk I don’t trust Cashman
Trade Ben Rice and Stroman to the marlins
Skip soto and get fried and burnes and trade for bellinger
Once We Retain Soto Trade Stro & Nestor For Cody Belliger
Sign Max Fried & Corbin Burnes
Trade Spencer Jones For Devin Williams Sign Saski
Yankees wont sign more than 1 player on a QO. It costs 2 draft picks and 1M of international money per player on a QO
Jones for 1 season of Devin Williams? HARD PASS ON THAT!
LOVE The winter meetings
