Three paths to play: The #Goddess story, the Vile God story, and the Evil God story are but three ways to adventure in the world of Fairy Fencer F. Your direct choices affect your destiny.
• More fencers and more fairies: Battle with up to 6 characters in your party and power up characters or add stat bonuses through world-shaping with the new fairy friends you find.
• Three modes of gameplay: Choose between Easy, Medium, or Hard to suit your play-style and your team.
• Voices & subtitles: Enjoy original Japanese and new English voices, plus new English subtitles.
#FairyFencerF is reborn as Fairy Fencer F: #AdventDarkForce for the PlayStation 4 system, in updated HD. Continue your adventure through three new story paths. Play as Fang and his gang as you face off against a new, evil organization, meet new fairies and fencers, and collect the furies scattered across the world. Each path leads to a different outcome, so choose wisely. The turn-based RPG battle system allows you to transform during battle and defeat enemies quickly. Alongside new content, you can now have up to 6 characters on the battlefield at a time. That's double the fairies and the fencing. With so many characters, players will be allowed to balance gameplay with three new difficulty settings.

When you say hater are you talking about an actual hater or just someone who dislikes the game and thus criticizes it because haters don't exactly have a reason for disliking however any good reviewer should have good reasons for disliking a game.
Thank you for the review, saw this game on sale, trailer looked interesting so thought I'd check a video out for gameplay, the gameplay to me looks interesting and you recommended it so thought I'd buy it and try it out.

Hmm... I wonder why i cant seem to download the dlc contents on the playstation store. Its not that i "can't" download it but it rather seems it is restricted in my country (Im From Malaysia (SEA)... well... it allows me to search it but whenever I click downloaded,it shows that the page is unavailable.... such a pain in the @ss... D:

Nice review man! I was on the fence on buying this but after seeing this video, I'm sold on getting the game when it drops later this month. BTW, are all the cutscenes in the game fully or mostly dubbed and can you level up your characters passed lvl. 99 as in Megadimension Neptunia VII?
99 as of now. They might come out with dlc to enhance it but I am not sure if they'll increase level cap. I'd say at least 75% of the English scenes have voices. Moreso than megadimension.

Getting it today. Thanks for clearing up my confusion on whether this game was a re-hash with new content as I already own Fairy Fencer F ( PS3 ) I look forward to playing it since FFXV got delayed.. them SE guys I swear need a beating xD
How did you enjoy FF XV? I own it as well, I thought it was decent but not what I was expecting.
I just finished this game a week ago (and platinum'd too for how much fun I had) and I completely agree with the review and not only it was a surprising re-release, but now that I finished all 3 routes I must say that it often surprised me in how deep the story and characters would get. I sincerely felt sorry in the vile god route and even more sorry during the evil goddess route (i can't tell but it involves death) and I just felt that Fang, from the jerk that he was, he actually became a better person the more I played through, to the point of becoming a very likeable hero.
If anything my only gripe with the game is the length: I finished it the first time in about 30 hours WITHOUT RUSHING and doing quests up to rank B and even recruiting the original 2 extra characters, and i finished all 3 routes in about 40 (rushing the first part of the game only). I expected a little more to be honest, at least 40 hours on my first playthrough, but considering that I even bought the collector's edition and all that, I'm pretty satisfied with the game!
Not afraid to say this but I love this game there are some parts of the game that got me crying the story was great and the game play good
Do i need to play the original Fairy Fencer F? is this purely a remake with extra?
Major remake with extras. PS4 version is superior in every way.
I just bought this game and I have trouble with how to choose the routes and ending I want so can you please upload guides of how the routes works and beginners guide to how to build, upgrade,grind etc so I can learn faster than watching your walkthrough for hours :)

How was this compared to the original? Played this on PC a while back and loved it. Would you say there is enough new content worthy of double dipping?
Yes. There's a lot of added content, new route and better framerate/graphics. :)
hey how's the voice acting?
Should I expect a new game compared to the ps3 version? or is it more like a remaster with additional content?
Updated graphics, new scenes, more story, new Furies, new characters, and yeah, lots of added content.
Can you visually customize your characters to look any way different even ouside of combat?
There costumes are different in combat and while travelling. Their outfits during dialogue scenes remain the same.

Not many people know this game exist i got my friend into it and he loves the game and he ask me why was anyone know this game and is there fairy fencer 2. He got disappointed there is no sequel he really loves it. We need to get the word out for this game

I know Tiara has a new light blue costume, and it looks like Fang's Fairize form is upgraded, do any other characters get similar treatment? Some of the original characters had laughable Fairize forms and I was hoping they would update them.

I haven't watched the full review but am interested in buying the Western version if it includes the Japanese voices? I'm visiting family in America. While I could go hunt for this game back in Saitama I would rather buy it cheaper as Its less money in the states then back home in Japan even though the game is 2 years old or so.

1. Does it matter who the LEADER is (I always play as Feng) , does this change the story if you switch the leaders ?
2.How long is the game ? I have played for 11 hrs now and i just returned into the past with Feng because Tiara died .... so how long is the game ?
3.Is there romance ? I would like to romance Harley or Ethel or Tiara ...... But there is no choice select , Fengs says what he wants all the time .
4.Whats up with Sherman , at the begining he was good but after i returned into the past he became evil , so whats up with that (its ok to spoil a little) ?
5.How does NEW GAME + work ?
6. How many endings are there in total ? I only play as Feng cuz he is the main character so i hope the end doesnt change if you play with others . PLS ????
I am new to JRPG's , this is my first and i totaly fell in love with it but there are too many unknowns for me so pls help me ....
1 - Doesn't change the story. You can have any character that is available as party leader.2 - I got over 100 hours into this game, but that's with all 3 stories and trophies.3 - Yes, some romance.4 - Lots of spoilers you are asking about. I won't spoil any of that.5 - You can either carry over or not carry over anything. There's a lot of different things that carry over and the story starts over. 6 - Check out my walkthroughs for more help. There are around 10 or so different endings.

i really thinking about byuing this game x3 love the neptunia games and the gameplay looks a lot like this. i know it's from the same company x3 but it's so expensive... 60 €... ._. i'll waiting until the game is cheaper... xD great review by the way :)

Yeah, I haven't had that issue since. If you continue listening, you hear me state that I thought it was a ps4 issue rather than a game issue. But yeah I think it could be because of my hardware being old.
+Red's 3rd Dimension Gaming I play dynasty warriors game for hours on end and that problem you say in your video about the hardware it didn't happen to me so I guess they may have done an update
T Schro or maybe they updated the game. Yeah, I haven't had that problem for awhile now. That happened in my first playthrough like 1 or 2 times.

Can you choose the spoken language to japanese?
I haven't tried it personally, but I'd assume you'd be able to because most Idea Factory International games allow you to do it.

Iris pretty well done for the same game, new endings, new additions to the story, new availible fencers like Marianna, when the price drops defiantly get it, it's an amazing game
Nice review :) I agree, FFF Advent Dark Force is pretty amazing, one of the best rpg's I have played, I lol'd so hard at this games a few times. One thing I gotta say tho, where the heck is Ethel's monocle (or whatever it is called that hides her eye), I mean where did it go, why did it dissapear? She looks fine even without it, but hey, you can't just do stuff like that and don't give explanation :D Aaanyways...

i'd say so. the story is pretty good.
excaliburn92 the story have one writing structure that kinda pissed me off because it felt like plot convenience. Fang, well in the goddess route felt too idealistic/naive and made questionable choices that lead him almost getting killed. Half of the villains aren't anything special or fleshed out either and even the party members doesn't have much screen time as the main characters. Overall, the story wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it handle most of the tropes pretty good. It's pretty decent.
Is this game hard? I mean i want to play something good but without to overload my brains with it? Is it complicated?
Some of the quests can be hard in the latter part of the game. It gets really hard if you don't grind at all at some parts of the game.

The remake looks great so far, but nothing beats my Nep games! °^°
But I'm still not 100% certain if I should buy it, since money is a thing. :/
Really? Around 100 hours to beat all three stories and it's not worth $60? Also, to make it cheaper, get GCU or Amazon Prime. You save yourself 20% on new games. I picked up the limited edition for $80 and am so satisfied.

After seeing gameplay and that game, I can safely say yes. They even took the 5/V out of the name. So obviously it's not a traditional Star Ocean game.
