I personally prefer the mindset and minimalism ones. I don't really have much issues for finances. I just buy what is important, stay out of debt and save for big ticket items. Ironically, I turned to minimalism after I paid off my last set of CC and student loan debts. I can see why managing money and minimalism topics should go together. Just wished that I was taught that sooner instead of wasting money on junk and CC interest.
Hi Ron. I would love to see a video on decluttering your spending. I’m not an extravagant spender and don’t usually give in to impulse except for food and yet it seems like I spend more than I earn every month. I find tracking my money overwhelming and in the past it didn’t seem to help (I’m not sure why).
Just stumpled on this channel. You spoke basic FACTS and am a living testimony to that.I’m 40 and my husband 44 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle in the capital market made it possible for us this early even till now we earn weekly. Thanks to fire movement.

Great advice. It does work when you're disciplined & determined. The finish line will be crossed but no one talks about the next step or when does one stop striving and begin to gently row their boat down the stream? Reminds me of Forrest Gump when decides he has finished running and one of his followers says "Now what?" That runner was searching for a reason to be...so he latched onto Gump's pain thus avoiding his. What's not discussed is letting go of the emotional baggage that got one holds onto trying to run from but instead runs back to rather than walk back and face it. The self continues to chase it's tail or revert back to whatever the self wasn't willing to let go of. I went through this process of minimalism and paying off debt in May 2020 and still struggle with the "Now what". Im happy. I don't strive have a house or property a car of any kind fancy gadgets or even tv. I just feel so happy and lucky that i can be me and it can be a struggle when you watch others struggle with their truth verses the ego. Much love and laughter to all
Money tips are always helpful. How about a food budget one as well. Money is my main focus now that the house is uncluttered, thanks so much for your awesome content💜

See I'm a college student and already had this mentality when going out into the world. I work a minimum wage job that makes about 22-24k a year. I turn 23 this year and have about 10k in savings. About 2.5k in investment accounts. its not much but its something until I finish my college. I do love this mentality and style and I try to be more open to have fun as well so I can enjoy my college years. I drive an owned vehicle that will most likely last me until my half way into my degree. Its not flashy but at least Im not broke. I will by a used car again but maybe a bit luxury just cause I do like to drive and want a fun vehicle for myself.
I want to encourage you (as someone who is a decade older) this is phenomenal. Keep it up, you are swimming successfully against the tide and hopefully building the character to match 🙌🏿

The toughest part for me was realizing that I didn't need to impress anyone with my belongings. It's so easy to buy "the next big thing" with one-click shopping. Having self-control and understanding the value items bring helped me stop spending money on pointless items!
Right On! My Cousins wear a $600.00 Apple Watch but I think a Timex, Seiko or another Type of Watch works just as well. Also folks who live lavishly are up to the backside in debt like nobody's business. They have an image to maintain. They buy all kinds of things ie Cookers and the like and I think what you spent could be used to pay a Bill. My Cousin is always borrowing but he never learned budgeting. He grew up spoiled and no matter how many times I remind him to budget and to remember his Bank Service Charges etc he doesn't listen, then he has two of nothing. I get paid Twice Per Month, but I know that Bills are due on certain days so the Money is there. He doesn't think to take his Salary and Chop half for one part of The Rent then have the other half at the end of the month. He takes his Entire Check uses it for Rent, then he has nothing leftover.
