I love this video! I've been dragging my feet when it came to meal prepping and tracking. I started doing what you said here, track all of it and I definitely know my weaknesses. love the video, love the programs! thanks Jessie!
Hi there Jessie! I love watching your videos, they are so informative and inspiring. Finding weight training has changed my life so incredibly. I am a nursing mother at the moment, how do I calculate my macros to accommodate that? Also, bodybuilding.com, and the iifym site seem to give me different numbers. Which site should I use? Thank you so much!
Hey Laura! Funny enough, since asking this question, I started on one of Jessie's programs which answered this for me. You simply calculate your macros from an online calculator, and add 300 extra calories for nursing. Most people suggest splitting them up halfway between fats and carbs. I found the iifym website calculator closest to the numbers Jessie gives. I hope that helps a little! Good luck Laura!
Hi I wonder what different ratios of macros mean? E.g some people eat the same amount of cals and protein but maybe higher fat or lower fat, how will that change body composition? Is higher carb better that fat?
It's pretty complicated and depends on how much sugar you are currently eating. If you're around 60g per day, I'd slowly taper down to around 30g and make sure each time you have sugar you pair it with fiber to keep your blood sugar regulated throughout the day!
Love, love, love! I have zero patience for people who abuse IIFYM. The fitness industry seems to ignore HEALTH! It's crazy. Love ya girl!
Yes! All of this. So glad you speak so well on this subject. I'm trying to educate women on fitness and nutrition/ eating. So much ignorance it's sad.
Love the idea of adding the extra "m"! Micros are so important!

thank you! Common-sense diet. I have a hard time getting protein without shakes.
Hey Jess, how did you track your diet before myfitnesspal came out? Did you use a book? Pen and paper? website? JW Thanks!

What happens if we are not eating sugar from last 15 to 20 days and if we eat on someday ?

So how much sugar is too much for a lean bulk? :)
