It’s a good gun . It is hard to break, it is precise , it has enough power to penetrate or at least break few ribs of the target(if there is some very good protection) . And it’s cheap to produce. Which is the biggest selling point. The only thing that is worse about modern AK models : the barrel used to be milled from the solid blanks of steel, and not stamped like now . Which made it more accurate and endure more shots. I still regret that I didn’t buy one when I had a chance, price then was less then 700$. Which is good for this gun , made back in USSR.
If you have the kids stuff perk and go back to the lodge after talking with your parents after meeting them, they will appear in the lodge and give you "Sir Livingstone's Pistol" which is a 1911

Was really odd how it wasn't included in the vid but you get a special 1911 pistol used by Livingston if you took the perk in which your parents are alive. Right after visiting them and telling them about the constellation gig you got and stopping by the lodge they'll actually be there to visit the place and your dad gives it to you as a gift from him and his dean friend that worked to restore the piece to functioning condition after it sat catching dust in a display case. At first I was honestly expecting an old school revolver or something with how they were describing it but I was gleefully smiling when they handed a fully modified 1911 with an extended mag. However I will say good luck finding ammo for it though, it's a pain in the ass and have no idea where to start looking.

I quite like this arsenal. Probably my favorite detail is how some of the guns tell you how much ammo is in them on the actual gun. I think it'll help a lot when doing a hudless playthrough. It is basic, but still cool.
Huh. Bolt on the Maelstrom looks a lot like a Fostech Origin. That's neat. Wonder if it's an AK descendant. It's admittedly a _little_ silly having bullets eject from the other side with this big ejection port, but I will admit that it looks _really cool_ watching this big chunky Fostech bolt.
Odd groupings, I’ll say. Some “rifles” look more like SMGs or machine pistols, the MagPulse seems to function more like a shotgun, and the Bridger is clearly a grenade launcher which I think is a heavy weapon.
I really like these more subtle animations in comparison to what we get in games now, modern warfare games look like the player has hand tremors and jerks their head around from what would be basic motions
Way better that FO4s selection and animations. A splendid job on all accounts. Still gonna need a few weapons mods to balance things out and one to fix the god awful microgun sound. A minigun should NEVER sound like a vacuum cleaner.
Come to think of it, a bit rare to see an FPS without explosives, unless they belong to another category or powerset. Not even a rocket launcher, though I understand that in space, it's not necessarily wise to hand such things out.

Seems like Bethesda finally got a better idea of how guns work in general, these are quite competent. Fallout 4's guns were atrocious in design and functionality. These are SciFi guns so there's a lot more room for freedom though.
Didn't play it yet, but from this video the way the char. holds the "Old Earth" weapons seems a bit.... I don't know.... crippled. Somehow falsy. Like they were made from paper and he's affraid to propperly hold them :D

It took an honest to god 2 hours of research to even learn that the items labeled TURRET are the ones that fire automatically. The ones labeled "Auto" anything are just rapid firing weps. Fallout 4 had rocket powered hammers, crazy modified baseball bats, wrenches, electric stun batons, swords, a real battle axe, a spear. All starfield has to offer are knifes, weeb knifes and some smol axe. Not a single blunt or two handed option. They didn't even add a katana, despite clearly going with the basement dweller weeb theme.

I think the reload look sick and match the genre. It may not deliver something like cod or insurgency, but the reload is really bearable (or IMO really good and a step up) compare to 4&76.

Honestly the sounds are actually pretty neat. Not the most ground breaking sounds out there but they are definitely satisfying enough to play with. I like how most of the guns dont actually sound the same and have an almost unique kick in their own respective manner.

Leaves a trace of it in the back of your head. But again, optional! Also love that the Regulator in the game is reminiscent to Blade Runner, even got the kickback, power, and sound of HUMPH to it like the movie! Razorback and Regulator are my 2 main
For a Bethesda game, this is actually a fairly impressive arsenal. The animations leave something to be desired however, They are serviceable but basic.
Everyone always points out the reload animation. Like, i honestly don't care about them anymore. Sure, realistic-style animations are the standard nowadays but they're only there to make me go "wow" and feel immersed. I play games for their functioning gameplay first. The visual aspects comes second.

10:09 the Bridger is actually a 40mm rocket launcher, it fires rocket rounds similar to a gyrojet I suppose.

These weapons looks cool as fvck, soo far away from most of the horrendous weapons from Fallout 4.

AND there is more of them, unlike FO4 with it's reduced arsenal, the modification feature does not excuse less guns.
Fallout 4 had rocket powered hammers, crazy modified baseball bats, wrenches, electric stun batons, swords, a real battle axe, a spear.
All starfield has to offer are knifes, weeb knifes and some smol axe. Not a single blunt or two handed option.
They didn't even add a katana, despite clearly going with the basement dweller weeb theme.

Guns designs are cool.
Since it's a Bethesda game, I didn't expect much for the reload animations.

Whats with people being so obsessed with weapon animations, i mean ye they are pretty cool but nowadays the only thing they go for is realism im sick of it. Like bro just give us a reload animation that works dont need to put like 80% of your entire budget into fucking animations, unrealistic reload animations have their charm and they stick out more out of all these games trying to be realistic with their reload animations
I think the reload look sick and match the genre.
It may not deliver something like cod or insurgency, but the reload is really bearable (or IMO really good and a step up) compare to 4&76.
@@kek621k Its something you see thousands of times, personally id like it to be high quality. It doesn't have to copy COD or something to be good, its just has to be good and not look like an intern did it.

Honestly the sounds are actually pretty neat. Not the most ground breaking sounds out there but they are definitely satisfying enough to play with. I like how most of the guns dont actually sound the same and have an almost unique kick in their own respective manner.
They’re really really good tbh. The one at 4:53 is just hitting all those right “sci-fi weapon” checkboxes in terms of sound 👌

I have to agree, in fallout 4,some sounds for weapons were exactly the same, really bothered me
@@grph1t3zUniqueness and the satisfaction. Being iconic. For this scenario, it’s optional. The guns are already satisfying and got their own personality, tho. Which is good and, to me, should be standard for out of this time type stuff. Reach for the stars type moment.
Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Blade Runner, even things like Godzilla’s roar etc. are pretty groundbreaking with their sounds. Something we never really heard before, pops out you. Leaves a trace of it in the back of your head.
But again, optional!
Also love that the Regulator in the game is reminiscent to Blade Runner, even got the kickback, power, and sound of HUMPH to it like the movie! Razorback and Regulator are my 2 main
For a Bethesda game, this is actually a fairly impressive arsenal. The animations leave something to be desired however, They are serviceable but basic.

Everyone always points out the reload animation. Like, i honestly don't care about them anymore. Sure, realistic-style animations are the standard nowadays but they're only there to make me go "wow" and feel immersed. I play games for their functioning gameplay first. The visual aspects comes second.
I've been waiting for this video. Im a few hours into the game and the weapon models are fantastic.
