Yes you can machine stitch and hand stitch the opening on the lining. Please watch my video for machine stitching. ruclips.net/video/AEczFQcnj0s/видео.html
Thank you so much for your very quick reply! And thank you for the video link. 😇 Also, when you are sewing the two fabrics together for the outside at the beginning of the video, what seam allowance did you use?? Thanks!
I wanted to show various way of installing the lining. You can use sewing machine of course. Please check my other tutorials that shows machine sewing.
Bonjour Minki Kim. Happy new year!!!
Gracias.
From Spanish class the first two sentences say, "I would like to subscribe/register here because I like the way you work and the things you make. It's not possible to read or listen in Spanish?" I'd need a dictionary to be able to read the rest completely.
Do you prewash the fabric and the 2 interfacing materials in this project (or any project for that matter)? When using multiple different layers of interfacing (like in this project you're using the stabilizer/thin and batting/thick) does the order matter - which one fuses first directly on the fabric? I'm sorry for all the questions, I'm new at sewing and of all the sewing tutorials/projects I see on RUclips, yours interest me most, by far, and they suit my utilitarian taste (function first, beauty second - not that what you make aren't beautiful, your choice of fabrics, the patterns, they are beautiful but many of the items you're making are not too girly if I pick solid color or sturdier fabrics. And more importantly, you make me want to and feel that I can make them, and will use what I make). I don't quilt nor am I planning to in the future - another family member does that already, but I like your style of quilting because the result looks clean, crisp and taut, not fluffy and billowy. Thank you.
@@MinkiKim Even the interfacing too we have to prewash (won't the glue be ruined)? Or only the fabric? (I like linen clothing but yes, it shrinks a lot and even seems to continuously shrink at every wash - I usually bought 2 sizes larger to be safe. LOL.)
Easier way is to attach linning from beginning then just cover raw edges with bias tape....that also helps reenforce each boxed corner ......great video !
Love the different way to do the lining!
Minki - Love your designs and tutorials to go with. They magically come to life! Music is nice, too. Thank you.

Minki do you know what the bottom floral on the pink pouch is called? Or is it no longer available? Thanks!
Red fabric is Liberty from Alicecaroline.com
Floral fabric is Bloom by Cottonvill that you can order on my Amazon shop. Link is on the description.
@@MinkiKim thank you so much!💕

Cute, but why not sew the lining into the bag along with the outer fabric? No hand sewing the lining to the zip this way.
I wanted to show various way of installing the lining. You can use sewing machine of course. Please check my other tutorials that shows machine sewing.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I don’t prewash mostly. But I prewash when I mix linen with quilting cotton.
