You have a good machine and needle to sew through all those thicknesses with no problem.
My current machine is Bernina B570. My first machine was Brother home sewing machine and I made so many bags and pouches with it.
I used 80 needle but you can change to 90 to sew through the bulky part.

This is an ADORABLE project. Minki, I am such a fan of your work. I made one right away and love it. Although I'm not always good at getting my patched pieces sewn straight, but that doesn't impact the final product too much. My finished project is much bigger, using 2" square pieces. I am guessing that your sample, in the video, used smaller fabric pieces like 1" or 1 1/2" pieces.
So happy to hear that Julie! I used 1 1/2” squares. Bigger square will make a practical and roomy pouch!

I like it that your Bernina machine is very 'polite', it lifts up its foot every time your fingers come near it. LOL. My machine doesn't do that. And it cuts the thread near the needle too so you don't have too much waste and lint of thread all over.

I love watching you sew! But I am wondering why you sew a few stitches, then lift the presser foot and move the fabric to the beginning. Thanks in advance.
To just hold the layers in place. You can baste stitch all the way around if you would prefer.

What is the advantage of ironing the seams this way, as opposed to ironing example the seams of the first row towards the right and the next row towards the left? I am a beginner trying to understand 😊. Thank you!
It’s personal preference. You can press to one direction if you would prefer.

Ok, so i bought the PDF pattern. But when i downloaded it, i see that the pattern is NOT for the cube pouch in the video, but for a similar but slimmer one. I want the cube one. 🥺

What material is the felt mat, ylu do the ironing on? Such a small place to iron besides the sewing machine is so much better than the big ironing board setup I work with, at the moment.

Hi, I am making the box pouch and have a question. The pattern shows 2 rows for the bottom of the bag but in the video you have 4 rows for the bottom. What am I missing?
