Historically big connection with Trabzonspor Fc in Turkey, think to do with Drogheda's star and crescent symbol.I believe fans have travelled to and from both clubs and the club is known in Turkey.
I shall explain again that the Star and Crescent related to the town of Drogheda have nothing to do with Turkey. They relate to the coat of arms of an English King. Please stop posting this mythical nonsense.
@whoneedsposers looks like the Portsmouth badge
@@whoneedsposersexplain all you want you're still a bollox, trabzonspor and Drogheda are sister clubs.
Not often you see the ball hitting both posts. Nice slices of action you captured.
I was at this match myself. I thought i recognised your face when walking through the home end 🙌
Didnt no about the boyne walk. Cheers
Another great video. Did you know that pyros are banned in the league of Ireland since the start of this season? Never seen so much of them since 😅.
The only sure way to get something going is to ban it 🤣
Haha I didn’t realise they’d been banned, half of that stand was a bonfire 😂
Great Vid again Pal . Your beginning to get an itch for the league of Ireland 😎
Thanks pal. Love the Friday night LOI games. I’ll be back over very soon 👀
@@FootballWeekender Waterford would be a good one while they're now in the Premier Division. The copper coast and Comeragh mountains are nice.
A cracking video. Were you allowed to film in the church? As it has the head of Oliver Plunkett. Might have been a bit macabre though. Another travel option would have been to take the train from Dublin to Drogheda. You would have been able to get some nice coastal shots from Malahide up to Laytown. Would have cost more and taken an hour to get there, but it could have added to the travel side of the video. It is the youth who are making the atmosphere and others around the league are following them. Good to see it. Patrick Hoban is Dundalk's all time top scorer. Nice to have you back again in the LOI. See you on the next one.
Great video mate. I met you in Mothers @ Burger Hub with my nephew and brother. Glad that you enjoyed the trip to Drogheda and the atmosphere at United Park !
Thanks mate! Cheers for coming over and saying hello, nice to speak to you. Match was a great atmosphere, just a shame about the result!
Burger hug o I love it it's awesome 👍
Another great video. My best friend lives in Drogheda and I never knew about the Camino. Myself and the missus have arranged to do it now! Aside from that, unreal content yet again. Great visuals, really like the price re-cap you include and you just have a real grasp of the vibe of LOI too.
Thanks mate. Would definitely recommend the Camino, you’ll have a good day doing that. I followed the route on the All Trails app - found it was a bit off but the new trail markers are clear and easy to follow. Got my fingers crossed you get some decent weather! 🤞
Love the content!
Nice video once again mate!
Thanks mate!
Great video 👍
Great video!! Fair play for the 25k walk too!!
Nice video, captured the area and the game well.
Thank you! 🙏
Didn't realize you were at drogs . would've bought you a pint if i had of known 😊
Sorry to have missed you mate! Class evening that, just a shame about the result.
Love this mate. I'm going to be going to Drogheda tomorrow and going to make a video about it. Then Cliftonville on Saturday
Thanks mate. The ultras at Drogs are great, I was really impressed. Cork fans are top too, so that should be a good one tomorrow. I need to get over to Belfast for a game this season!
You went to wrong prematch pub you missed a trick not going to the ultras pub, foleys, prematch. Only saw half the walk up, but was a bit of a march up to ground from pub. Looked class, my kids were impressed anyway. Great video though, who do you support yourself?
Cheers! Ah, wish I’d had enough time to go to both pubs!
I’m a Liverpool season ticket holder 🔴🔴🔴 I don’t vlog the matches at Anfield but there’s a video from the 2022 Champions League final 👍
great video! what camera did you use to film it?
Thanks mate. I use a Sony ZV-1 📷
Was it all handheld mate? Or did you use a gimbal?
All handheld, I don’t have a gimble, my whole setup is pretty basic to be honest! I sometimes use a small gorilla tripod when I’m out and about but inside the stadium it’s just the camera and a steady hand 😄
@@FootballWeekender fairplay, you captured some nice smooth shots! 😀
Following on from Turkish owner of Hull City taking over Shelbourne FC now drogheda in advanced talks with U.S. investment co who already own Walsall Fc with reports of an immenent takeover with financial backup to follow.Already out on news outlets could lead to helping the club secure a new ground which is badly needed, pity you couldnt have been privy to any news on how negotiations are progressing.
No mention of the Turkish connection to Drogheda. You can't fit everything in I suppose.
I actually tried to film a little piece to camera about the Trabzonspor link, but sound was terrible so I had to cut it unfortunately 😞 I was aware of the link but a couple of Drogs fans were telling me about it in more detail in Mother’s. Really interesting. Didn’t know about the sultan sending grain over during the famine etc.
Just a wee message to get in here before somebody spouts nonsense about the star and crescent on the Drogheda coat of arms. The symbols have nothing to do with Turkey. They are in fact representative of King John.
Great video thanks for giving my son a plug in it he thinks he's famous now 😂👍
@@whoneedsposersWell, I suppose you could say that the star and crescent on the Drogheda town crest has a distant connection to Turkey, as King John’s predecessor, his brother, Richard the lionhearted, brought the symbol back from the crusades. But its definitely nothing to do with mythical food ships, sent by the ottoman sultan to Drogheda during the famine. Have you seen the amount of videos on RUclips about this “event” that never happened.
@@FootballWeekenderThere were no grain ships sent by the ottoman sultan to Drogheda. The story is a myth. But don’t blame the Turks for the story. Historians who looked in to this story, came to the conclusion that the story was started by Irish nationalists in the late 1800s.
They are very louth
Drogheda aren’t the best ultras in ireland or even close to it only had a printed display earlier this year 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
