I’ve always wondered what level 16 football was like, but it doesn’t disappoint 😂. It’s unbelievable to think that with 6 promotions, they could be competing in the fa cup, with another 6 back to back promotions, they could be in League 2, and still 4 years later they could be playing in the champions league!!! Blows my mind to think about (There was a little smudge of dirt on the camera that’s a bit annoying lol)

This is great. I have now been involved in grassroots youth football for over 10 years. Coached for years before then being chairman. Its a LOT of work but it is so much fun! We hope we can get some facilities to enable us to have an adult team.
I hope people donate to the club! The chairman, the manager, even some of the players deserve a little bit of relief financially so they can focus on just the football. As an American, I wish the sport had the backing as it does in England! Great video!
@@LocationFootball Well I support LA Galaxy, they’ve been my local club since childhood. and many of the West coast teams in the US generally have a decent turnout! But go more central or even more northeast and you won’t see the same time kind of support. You can tell with the national team whenever the US plays anywhere. Unless it’s against Mexico.
@@IsaiasSoldier2 The games against Mexico are always a riot, and thankfully the galaxy and LAFC have good atmospheres and attendance. Hopefully the galaxy does well this season.
I'm an American so this is all foreign to me but I find it fascinating. I kind of wish some of our sports worked like this. Only problem I have is it's a bit too "laissez-faire". Rich teams stay rich and continue to win. Which is kinda ironic that British sports are like this and not so much American ones that have a salary cap lol.

I’ve enjoyed our recreational level OTH (over the hill) soccer / football league many years including a promotion from Division 6 to Division 5 (USA). Only to be promptly relegated to next year. Still the most fun and memorable year of soccer / football. It’s about playing the game and getting competitive juices flowing. But most important is the time after the game. Drinks with mates after a joint effort and being part of a team.
There's a club in the North Northumberland League, Called Acklington not Acky Stanley but there's still time😁 and there's a club in the Northern Alliance League called Gosforth, They have similar sounding names THATS ALL

Having not played football (soccer since im american) since I was about 12, i can confidently say i think i could play in this league and also that i would get ran off the pitch faster than it takes the ref to blow the starting whistle. (would be a fun experience though!)

I could barely understand the English at several points 😂 but man I can relate on playing after 6 yrs recently on a pick up game. Still have the skills if not more with improved IQ but my fitness and stamina were horrible as expected. I did play on a futsal size turf fields so probably easier honestly but man it was so fun! I would say this is the same level as the A-League in Oz. I swear I just watched Western United vs Brisbane Roar 🤣. I actually loved the video, keep them coming 👍
Interesting that the chairman begrudges paying £45 for the referee but the manager shows him genuine respect. The referee could be watching a good match with his mates or maybe playing at a higher level but he has to start somewhere. The team will be doing well if they can follow a young referees progress up the leagues.

In the lower echelons of Welsh grass roots football (Neath League) I think the pitch hire is about £55 - £60 for council pitches, and the referee usually charges between £25 to £30 depending on travel expenses. What most people don't realise is that there are "hidden" costs for training (usually hiring 3G/4G pitches in mid-week), medical equipment, buying kits/footballs/nets if there are no sponsors, etc.
I wanna see a tv series about a club from this level rising to the prem. Its unrealistic yes but i think theres a lot of potential in educating about the game but also keeping it funny. 😂 just my thought

@@LocationFootball yeah ofc in bottom of the 7th division we have the local team Falerums IF. On a semi profesional level theres the sleeping giant, two times swedish champions and 20 seasons in the first league, Åtvidabergs FF in the 4th division.

The lowest level of football actually goes down to level 18 for an example there’s a league called Yorkshire amateur div 5

And technically you can go to level 20 for the Devon and Exeter Football League Division Eight and the

“High School” football in the UK is more like the academies of big teams. Like a U16 or U18 team.
