Don't act like you have turbo lag like his STI or any STI. WRX have better acceleration better in the lower half of the power band. Such a douchie way to react, oh yeah I had turbo lag too. Do you even remember the race? You took off immediately and your cars aren't even close to each other in power. Race an STI with similar power numbers to yours and then brag about it.
front mount changes the way power comes on pretty significantly. anyone who has spent any amount of time with their own wrx could easily tell the difference.
Stage 3 WRX vs Stage 1+ STI comparison straight line racing, we all knew how bad you're gonna spank the STI. Now go hit a rallycross event, the STI in stock trim would destroy the WRX. Cool content man, gonna sub to Hunt now.
He saved money on buying a wrx to be able to smoke the sti... and how would the stock sti beat his car? all the sti has on it is an extra gear and some diff upgrades...

@@FizuhcuL depends on where you live really. Here in Tennessee we've got lifted STIs, full blown time attack built stuff that gets daily driven. Check out 5th Gear Performance in Nashville, won't even say what they do but I will say 100% stock block not even fbo 2019+ are putting down 500+awhp. If you drive a WRX then a STI, the WRX feels like a toy. Totally different steering, transmission feel and the way it drives. Like night and day really.

front mount is a farther distance, and you get more turbo lag than the factory top mount.
WRX has a twin scroll turbo which eliminates a marginal percent of lag. vs the sti

I own a 2018 STI and 2018 WRX my stage 3 E85 wrx is NASSTTYYY makes me sad with all the EJ guys hating on the FA20 things gangster! But I still love that subi RUMBLE on my STI.

I’ve owned both and they each have there place. STI is definitely the better platform for big power. FA is pretty impressive on how much abuse the stock motor will take and it’s ride quality is better as a daily too.
I’m sure you’ve been asked this before but why the stock hood still since you have a front mount. The hood scoop is like a brick through water.

Anyone that has driven or owned both a wrx and sti will tell you they behave different and have different personalities. Boost hits totally different and one is more civilized. I love my sti because it's a little more raw, but I understand completely why people get the wrx I owned one as well.

Pleeease explains this to me because I’ve asked before to other people. You can brake boost an 15+ wrx? I have an 18 but when I hold the brake it immediately goes into a “safety?” Kinda mode where it kills all power. Just curious as to if it’s a tuning thing

Lmao, we can do some digs in the Sacramento area.. it takes more than intake n exhaust on a v8 to “eat” these cars.. raced a 700hp Shelby and didn’t even see him until 100 mph then of course them ponies blew by.. but 300 vs 700 wasn’t much eating like you think.. plus I’m getting 30 mpg while you get 3…

I’m pushing almost 90k miles on stock clutch at stage 3
Dig the vids. You two need to line up a couple more times. Sti needs to rev and drop clutch keep those revs up get that turbo spooling up so you can get to boost quicker. 🤷🏽♂️ but ya your vids are helpful for the wrx fam out there. 😀

Trust me I know why you won't launch your car because wrx's brake ya it can have more power before upgrading the fuel but they can't go fast the wrx drivetrain sucks I didn't even launch my wrx and the rear differential exploded

That STi is basically stock....your WRX is built.... what did you expect to happen during the race? I dont see how the two can be compared in this state. For comparison you should race an STi with the same mods/similar mods.
