The Scrambler 900 is great for the urban jungle and well-groomed off-road riding. IMHO, it’s the perfect in-between hybrid !!! It’s awesome that Triumph is going down the dual-sport path with the 400 !!! ❤❤❤
900 scrambler would be my dream bike (sound, looks, engine character), but I would be over the moon if I would manage to get the 400x next year as my first bike. It is more likely I will go with a cheaper bike, but the 400X is really cool IMO.
I have the 2020 900SS, the 2024 400X, and the 2022 1200XE (I did own a 2019 1200XC before) and I believe that the 900SS ist the best multi purpose bike… I would describe the power as follows 400X: peppy, 900SS: torque wave, 1200: hooligan…
the 900 cannot be a real scarmbler untill it has atleast 150mm suspension travel , front and rear . so unless there is a 900x version the Scrambler 900 is a scrambler in name only.
I'm the market as a beginner now and I personally would want to buy a T-100 Bonneville but I also don't want to spend that much money for my 1st bike. Why are we comparing two bikes having half the price of other, what's the point of this?
The scrambler 900 was triumphs entry scrambler for years until the 400x came along so I thought it was interesting to see how it stacked up to triumphs original entry level bike!
There is definitely a noticeable difference between the 400 and 900 bars. I didn’t find it to be an issue personally but, I wonder if other people have noticed it too
How can I jack up the rear wheel on the 400X to remove it? Are there swing arm bushes for this? I can't find any threaded mounts for this on the swingarm.

I do like the fact they now have more options especially for newer riders

It would be a great first bike! I love the 900 for all those reason but, I wouldn’t choose a 400x over it
May I ask what brand/model is your helmet? Hello from the Philippines 🇵🇭🙂
Premier mx dude

Not saying it’s the best all rounder it’s far to heavy off road but, it’s a whole lot of fun. Totally agree with the power though
I like the 900 but bought the 400x, would have had to change exhaust on the 900 because i really dont like the high exhaust
I love the high exhaust it’s my favourite thing about the bike and the main thing that drew me to the bike
@@Nomad_Scrambler hate the high exhaust too. +1 for 400x
Everybody is different in there own way!
@@Nomad_Scramblerhate the high exhaust it adds heat to an already hot motorcycle

It’s called the street scrambler for a reason it’s deffo not as capable off road as the lighter 400 but, still a great bike on and off road
Lol plenty of off road bikes only have 7-8" of travel. 150mil is overkill.
@@logangodofcandy 7" is 177mm and 8" equals 203mm.
Which is way more than 150mm.
What's your point?

The 400x handlebars are uncomfortably too wide for me so going for the 900.

Took them off. Have Rizoma fat bars and Rizoma bar ends
Nice video 😀 I’d be interested on your thoughts on 900 vs 1200. Like you, currently on a 900, but wondering where to go next.
My plan is to get a first ride in on the 1200 in August and then do a comparison
The 400 is already too powerful for you Mark, cool your jets !
@@leeinwis What a weird thing for a complete stranger to say ……….. Thanks for your input.
What bar end mirrors do you have? I’d like to get some.
Oxford cafe racer mirrors
Just purchased a 400x as my first bike. The revving of the 900, though...
400 is a great first bike! 900 just beats it for sound
Shorter rider ?😳
The ‘bigger’ (excuse the pun) question is for guys of 6’1” and over. What’s the riding position like ?
Personally both are quite comfortable for all my taller riders

Hey man I haven’t seen any aftermarket bushes for it however, swing arm paddock stand would work completely fine!
My 1200 is the tits. I ride it way too much and want to get another for miles, but I'm not sure the 900 or 400 has the power I want/ need
The power on both is good. Personally prefer the pull of the 900
Can we get this sound on bonnie series too?
Have to look on the zard website but, I’m sure they have something
400 fuel range eats the 900
For sure! 900 is a thirsty beast!
