Sacrificing the 3 Egyptian Gods to summon Holactie has got to be one of the biggest power moves you can do In Yu-Gi-Oh. Especially if you already used Sphere Mode to get rid of 3 of your opponent's cards. I mean, how much overkill do you need?
When they put Holactie in Duel Links it would be played. You can summon all 3 god cards in one turn if you got the right deck set up. Hell, there is a video on RUclips of a deck that can summon all 3 god cards in one turn and get the win.
@@HRCFre4k reptiles in general don't get good support, they still have Snake Rain from 2005 that would have faced the ban in like 2010 for any other type. Konami just hates reptiles.
if you summon time thief redoer and have mystic mine on the field all you have to do is draw a rank down spell and then win when he has 8 materials which is easy to do since he equips a card from your opponent's deck during your turn and your opponent's turn.
I love how my first thought when he was explaining how to bring out Ghostrick angel of mischief in that combo was “Six Samurai could probably pull that off” and then he brings up Gateway of the Six. Now I wanna try that
Like insanely easy too. Would just have to do normal combo for infinite counters. Go into heraldry Crest, do a 4 mat bamboozling, summon a ghostrick alucard, use bamboozling eff target heraldry, use heraldry effect target alucard, xyz into angel of mischief for game
Jackpot 7 is currently really easy to pull off Summon 2 warrior monsters -> isolde -> isolde effect -> slap 4 equip spells into the grave to summon burglars -> give to your opponent -> isolde link summon to linkross -> attack burglars with 2 tokens and linkross -> win super fragile since you basically lose to any interruption, but it works :D
*laughs in banlist* You could probably still pull it off with the Auroradon combo (minus Coltwing) using Infernobles to get Isolde and Halq on the field. It's more difficult, but on paper it seems do-able. Get 2 Warriors (Sublimation Knight with Squeaknight work here) -> summon Isolde -> Use said Isolde to mill 4 equip spells for burglars -> give said burglars to the opponent -> summon Halq using Isolde and Renaud (probably the best option considering you can use its effect to summon from the hand while you have Sub Knight on the field) -> Use Halq to summon 001 -> Use 001 and Halq for Auroradon -> Auroradon summons 3 tokens which you use to attack Burglars and win I've seen Infernoble variants use 3 of each of the Igknight pendulums for searching, so you could utilize that to search Sub or Renaud. You want to summon Renaud from the hand though so it's treated as a tuner. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.
As a guy with the F.A deck with Winners in it as a secondary win condition it makes me happy it’s on the list. I actually won with it against a friend as well. Granted me and my friends duel non competitively but with some rules. But it’s fun.
Same man. Sadly had to remove my one-off winners I played for fun when my friends got into meta decks, but I still stick with F.A. It's a very entertaining deck, even if I lose most of my duels. It's also extremely funny playing someone new who has never seen the deck before and seeing them lose their shit witnessing some of F.A.'s more annoying effects.
Korodan the Lion King I even made a variation of my current F.A deck in legacy of the duelist link evolution. I made it so I can learn more about them.
@@Kralex121 As someone who got into F.A. recently, I really feel like they're one of those archetypes that are one or two cards away from being very good. They already have in-archetype negates, tons of searching, and they can become a nightmare to deal with if your opponent allows them to stay on the field. Just need more main deck monsters and something to help iron out the few consistency issues that crop up from time to time.
@@catisreckless4647 I feel one of the main things about F.A. is that they are a bit too fair for lack of a better term. They just lack the ability to establish a big presence in the first few turns, and it's the kind of deck where your starting hand can really make or break your duel. The core of the deck is the balance between spell/traps and monsters. The Spell/Traps all need F.A. monsters to be effective, except for Deadheat, which is a really slow and unreliable way to special summon and pretty much all of the F.A.s want starting setup from the spell traps. It's also not that easy for them to special summon or search without some kind of setup or restriction, so they have to rely on outside cards to get on the field more consistently. Test Run's special summon isn't life turn 1 and needs you to have an F.A. on field for it's destruction effect and the field spells need something to pop them before you can search. If they could get some support that can help them establish themselves more consistently turn 1 I think they could actually do a lot better. If your opponent can't deal with your board turn 1 they usually have it really easy special summoning off of test drive, searching off of their field spells, quickly replacing their field spells and having Motorhome Transport + City Grand Prix can actually be kind of nuts if your opponent has no way to deal with it. Getting such a positive feedback loop where everything just clicks is one of the most rewarding experiences. I still feel like they wouldn't be meta if they'd up the consistency of the deck, but it would really help. They certainly have most of the tools they need, but even with outside help as they stand they are just a bit too slow to compete.
Try drawing all pieces of exodia and being accused of cheating by your own girlfriend even though she shuffled the deck then having your ps5 burned in a bon fire when you refuse to admit it
One of the things about surrending with Victory Dragon, that wouldn't really work in the OCG. Apparently, in the OCG, your opponent has to accept your surrender. So you can just deny it and attack to win the Match, which I think is a big factor in it being banned there and everywhere else.
but they can't they lose the duel intentionally by flipping the table? instead of dying to the Victory Dragon? or purposefully commit a petty foul that make you lose a duel but not the match?
@@zorimanar2247 OCG stands for "official card game", its paper cards like the TCG, but its a separate format and available in different countries from the TCG
I LOVE the theming of F.A. Winners, the racers completing all of the Grand Prix’s and moving on by banishing the field spell is such a fun idea. Not entirely sure what the level manipulation is supposed to represent in F.A. though. Experience? Speed?
It has to be speed/race position. Downforce (downwards lift created by the aerodynamics of a vehicle) makes them level up, Pit Stop makes them level down.
May I suggest "Archetypes with unique playstyles" Examples: Dragonmaid's transform and revert during battle and Glad-beasts' tag out and in each turn to support each other.
The Crystal Beasts. No other deck in the game need that their monsters became continuous spell cards in order to use theirs effects and summon their boss monsters.
What I love about Destiny Board support is with Dark Sanctuary you no longer have to keep your back row clear. So you can play 2 destiny boards at the same time getting 2 letters each end phase
@@teodagreat No problem! I play Destiny Board regularly. To help get out messages faster, I just use Sentence of Doom. For stalling I use fiends like Cassimolar and Battle Fader. Lava Golem's also searchable with Mastery. Kuribandit's another good dark fiend to use too. Backjack and Cyber Jar aren't bad for the deck either. Radian's a good kaiju fiend that's dark. With a decent amount of dark monsters in there you can easily run some allures, and fiends can be recycled from grave or banished thanks to Sentence being awesome. Also running 1 set of messages (I, N, A, L) and 3 Destiny Board's what I normally do. Other good draw options are Upstart Goblin and One Day of Peace too. As for shutting down the opponent, all of those monsters except Cyber Jar work with Skill Drain too. Not sure if you were interested in building a Destiny Board deck or not, but ironically I find it works better without the Necrofears and Dark Spirits. Dark Sanctuary's a must for my variation too.
When Magic Ruler came out and magic cards were changed to spell cards, a friend of mine ran Wave-Motion Cannon, claiming MST and such don't work on it because they destroy magic cards, while WMC is a spell card. So I played De-spell to mess with him.
Top 10 cards that dont do anything when activated or after the cost was paid One example is Toon World, you activate it paying 1000 LP...and thats it Good video, I once tried to win with F.A. Winners, but instead just attacked for game
A lot of older effect monsters are vanillas with a specific cost as their only effect. I'm not sure how you would rank them apart from how useful their stats, levels or ranks are.
Final Countdown also can be paired with cards that do consistent burn damage over a long period of time, causing your opponent to be racing against TWO ticking clocks at the same time: Final Countdown and their own Life Points. Solar Flare Dragon is hilarious because it helps BOTH of these clocks tick away.
I like to think there's an alternative reality where exchange of souls it's actually meta and it's a pro move to run less than 15 cards in your extra deck, while also only having graveyard effects in your deck, just in case
Back when I played Yu Gi Oh I LOVED the fact every deck had a different gimmick... I also love the recycling of "rubbish" cards in different times and contexts
There’s a broken draw card I used to exploit the crap out of and that was “hope for escape” or something like that but it requires you to pay1000 life points to draw one card for every 1000 life points your opponent has as a difference. When used in an exodia deck it was op when combined with cards like gift card or upstart.
(14:50) Funny thing is with how many cards allow both players to draw 1 card these days, I have found Appropriate Exodia extremely consistent - once you learn the timing for Appropriate anyway. Heck, with Temple of Kings it is actually a strangely consistent FTK Deck.
I remember using an Exodia deck with what is basically a mill/ draw effect. I would have a deck loaded with normal monsters/ the 5 Exodia pieces/ 3 Heart of the Underdog to essentially draw out my deck in 1/2 turns and insta win with Exodia. Played this deck in Link Evolution on XB1 to slog my way through the story lines and challenges so that I could build up enough money to buy the packs that I needed for my strongest deck.
If I’m reading Ghostrick Renovation (and Mischief) correctly, I do believe this combo is possible: summon Alucard, overlay Mischief, add a card from hand to material, banish Renovation to overlay Alucard on Mischief, then overlay Mischief again, and then add a card from hand to material again. That’s 7 materials with less of a hoop to go through and all using cards you’d normally use in a Ghostrick deck. Now it’s still an incredibly terrible combo but it doesn’t change that fact.
It DOES work like that and that does open up some interesting options; For starters just spells and traps that can become xyz materials suddenly help a lot more. Example is use her effect to get a Renovation, and then the following turn use it again
Exchange of the spirit was so broken. I remember when it came out and this dude filled his deck with every draw engine that existed at the time, and one copy of that card. It was a surreal ftk.
A fun fact about tournament yugioh: You technically cannot surrender the duel unless you are the turn player. Nobody follows the ruling however because since Victory Dragon is banned, there’s no reason to prevent your opponent from scooping. But if Victory Dragon WAS allowed, players would probably not allow their opponent to scoop, so they could carry out the attack, and if players scooped anyways you’d have to get judges involved. I think the card is just a ruling nightmare so they just banned it for good measure
@@aroperdope it doesn't have to be the piercing damage itself the video could talk about good monsters that just happen to have piercing damage after all he did do stuff like that in the past
A note on Ghostrick Renovation If you summon Angel of Mischief on top of another Ghostrick card, you can use Ghostrick Renovation on Angel of Mischief to rank it DOWN, then use another copy of Angel of Mischief from your ED on that new monster, giving you five materials. Also, her effect to attach a material from your hand is not a HOPT, so if you summon Angel of Mischief, attach a material, use the effect of GT Renovation to rank it down, then summon another copy of Angel of mischief, and then once again use her effect, you can end up with 7 materials pretty quickly
The thing about Last Turn is that if you can use it with Blue Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, it’s a guaranteed win thanks to Twin Burst’s battle protection and banish effect. Not to mention the plethora of guaranteed draws with anything with generic battle protection or a kamikaze, like Exploder Dragon. To unban it, it’d likely either need to be changed to grant the win to the monster with higher ATK at the start of the battle step, or be more heavy handed and negate all monster effects, which would kill the fun of the card.
Hey! First off, I want to thank you for the great content. You have really helped me rekindle my love for this game. I’d like to recommend that you make a list of the top ten controversial cards. As in, cards that have very divided reception. Some people think they are great and others think they are not.
1°: Mystic Mine...there's those who hate it because it stops unbreakable boards with endless negates, and those that love it because it stops unbreakable boards with endless negates
Nue That’s a great point! Though I was thinking more like cards like Pot of Desires. Some think the card sucks because you banish 1/4 of your deck to use it but others love it because it lets you go +1.
One of my favorite win conditions cards is Odd-Eyes Dark Rebellion Dragon. Pop the field + 3 free direct attacks for 3000, and all you need is Xiange in scales and 3 level 7s. If there isnt anything to negate the summon, the attack, or float the popped monsters, you win.
late to the party but angel of mischief is way easier than you make it out to be: first if all renovation doesnt make start out angel with 4 instead of 3, because you can just summon a ghostrick xyz->summon angel-activate angel effect->activate renovation to summon a ghostrick xyz on top of angel->summon another angel->reactivate angels effect, making it a 7 material angel in 1 turn by using 2 monsters with same level between 1 and 3 and renovation. not a 1 turn win, but potentially 2 turn win if you got another renovation in the graveyard and you can keep angel on board for that turn, tecnically possible considering the stalling nature of the archetype, even if too hard in this day and age. is it viable? absolutely not, angel main purpose is to summon on top of alucard and dullahan to use them as material to search a magic/trap card from the deck while using the material effect to get a ghostrick from the graveyard. thats pretty much it. does it even matter? no, because the main win condition of ghostrick is to bore to death the enemy until they give up. does this win condition work? yes, if you are smug enough about it. tl;dr have i thought too much about ghostricks? absolutely, but i love this archetype and one day it will be made great again goddammit!
I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh since around 2005, and since one of your videos was randomly recommended to me recently you've made me want to get back into it.
Exchange of the spirit and fiend comedian still combos well, either your deck will be ~twice as full as your opponent's (possibly chaining any graveyard effects on your end with fiend) or banishing their GY before exchange's effect kicks in
I do think there is a way to fix Last turn. Change it so that your opponent can special summon a monster from their deck ignoring its summoning condition. Also add an effect saying that your opponent's special summon can't be negated. Also make the card limited.
should be add, "Consider all condition of summoning is fullfill and maximize the effect of the monster summoned. When the monster is defeated in battle, immediately remove from the field, can not negate this effect by any spell/trap/monster effect/pendulum effect"
Even if all other cards effects were negated after last turn activation a main deck monster rarelly will have enought atk to beat any big boy from the ED
I had this same issue understanding why it was banned in the video game i was playing. I was just like... Reducing enemies LP to 0 wins anyways I dont get this? Now it makes more sense as its meant for when you play best of 3's.
Most of the good draw cards that are banned/limited are more so used for Magical Explosion FTK, which does basically the same thing as Exodia but with only 2 cards instead of 5.
i have one with chain gate, and there was a one card holache ftk the Chain Gate deck list is this one: Main Deck: 2x Elemental HERO Clayman 2x Elemental HERO Burstinatrix 2x Elemental HERO Avian 1x Holactie the Creator of Light 1x Obelisk the Tormentor 1x The Winged Dragon of Ra 1x Slifer the Sky Dragon 1x The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode 2x Elemental HERO Bubbleman 2x Phantom of Chaos 3x Lilith, Lady of Lament 1x Dotscaper 3x Lightning Storm 3x Dark Ruler No More 1x Terraforming 3x Called by the Grave 3x Temple of the Kings 3x Fusion Gate 3x Waboku 3x Heavy Storm Duster 3x Chain Material 3x Trap Trick 1x Metaverse -------------- Extra Deck: 3x Elemental HERO Electrum 3x Elemental HERO The Shining 2x Elemental HERO Gaia 1x Constellar Ptolemy M7 1x Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal 1x Saryuja Skull Dread 1x Zefra Metaltron 2x Proxy Dragon 1x LANphorhynchus This works in MR3, MR4 and MR5
Use last turn with a full skeleton servant deck. You don't need to cancel the summon if your monster has like over 19k attack points (i believe thats the max)
Last turn could be made interesting again if it included an effect that negated monster effects for the turn. I knew a guy that would precede Last Turn with something like Heavy Storm or Giant Trunade before setting it.
It's gonna be hard to word that so continuous effects end up negated (which is true for Vanity's Fiend and Jowgen). The only thing I can think to add is, at the end of the card, "All monster effects are negated while this card is resolving." This would stop continuous monster effects preventing special summons without disabling the ability to use a monster effect to negate the card itself and those are the only effects that can be applied during resolution anyway.
Fun fact: As a duel links player I often think about what would happen if they added duel links skills to the main game and I think the destiny board skill would actually be pretty strong. They made destiny board a skill in DL because of course we only have 3 spell and trap card zones and it just requires 2k or less life points when activated and dark necrofear in your graveyard, at which point you win after 5 turns if it doesn’t leave your graveyard. It is fine in duel links because we have very few cards that allow you to stall out turns easily, but in the normal game it would basically be a 5 turn version of final countdown that can’t have its activation negated(skills are all spell speed 4), but can be stopped part way through. Though for a lot of decks stopping it would require specific side deck additions that can remove cards from your opponents graveyard and you could probably play a hybrid deck. (edit: I thought final count down was a continuous spell card, DL player lol).
It would have stiff competition though, Destiny draw lets you search literally any card for the low cost of 2k lifepoints and your draw phase, without needing any card in your hand to pull off the search. It is barely okay in a game with 4k lifepoints and 20 card decks. With 8k lifepoints and 40 cards? Plus a bunch of stupid powerful cards balanced by not being easily searchable? Yikes
Small correction with Angel and Rennovation. You would actually have FIVE materials before using Angel's effects (2 used for the jnitial XYZ, then the original XYZ, the first Angel, then the XYZ you summon with Rennovation, which is then used to summon a second Angel). If you had two free Ghostrick cards in your hand you could use each Angel's effect to get two more... which still only leaves you at 7' materials. It would take another Rennovation and one more Angel eff to get to 10 - not impossible but it would take at least one additional turn, so you'd better hope your opponent doesn't kill Angel in that turn.
When using final count down use gravity bind so only level three and lower cards can only attack and then use your higher defensive monster so that you don’t have to worry about anything, have a couple false trap and heavy storms as well as mystical space typhoon
I hope Ghostrick Skeleton makes the list. I play Ghostrick and milled my friends Cyber dragon deck (60 card deck) once. It was hilarious how I pulled it off. It’s a good card and offers some fun/troll moments.
Just wanted to say: I recently got into Yugioh through the game Legacy of the Duelist: Lick Evolution, having watched some of the original anime and a bit of GX, and I find your content entertaining, informative, and easy to digest; so I wanted to thank you
I have played Yugi for at least 14 years, and only ONCE i was able to summon Holactie, and only because i got a lot of advantage after my oponent draw a first hand without a single monster. Still, it was funny to play it out.
Last turn was unfair back in the day, the moment wall of revealing light came out, you could win 1st turn. (give ur opponent the turn, activate 2 traps) if I remember correctly nercovally had a flip effect monster that places a trap card on top of your deck (to your hands if valley was on the field) you get the gist
I think if Last Turn would negate the effects of the monster on the field so that Jowgen can't just force a loss on the opponent, it'd be enough to see it return to 1 at the very least. Negating the effects of BOTH monsters would make it even more balanced out I think, because there are cards that get ATK boosts when attacking or are battling an opponent's monster(during the battle/damage step)
Exchange of the Spirit used to require just 15 cards in your own graveyard. I ran a deck centered around that version of the card and it was a lot of fun
I feel like honorable mentions cheapens the list. And I see it too often used by other people to just add everything so people wont get upset at them. A good top 10 (imo ofc) should exclude a whole bunch of things from the video to give more weight to the 10 that did make the list. That being said I do occasionally have honorable mentions anyway when I think its appropriate lol, I think I had one last week even.
Ghosttrick also had an FTK style deck, where you used Utopia to get the win. Because Utopia has a lot of cards that allow you to simply summon a different Utopia monster, by using one that is on the field as materials. You repeat that a couple of times and with some shenanigans, are able to get 8 materials onto it. Then with Zombieworld and some other card that I forgot the name off, you are able to summon a Ghosttrick by using the Zombiefied Utopia card as material, giving you 9 materials and then simply go for the instant win ... Not sure if that would still work though ... It's possible that some of the needed cards are banned ...
Don't worry guys; Volcanic Rocket can now search new God Support cards, so summoning Holactie, The Creator of Light should be easier to do...............in the OCG. (This is not a joke)
@Mister Perfection It was an honor fighting against you. But now it's time to drop the sword and move on my old friend. All good things come to an end...
Can you please make "top 10 cards with the most alternative artworks"? Cards that were either censored or received alteration of any form and even received new artwork to celebrate an event like an aniversary
question about the God cards, one of their effect is When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated Since their normal summon itself cannot be stopped, if you normal summon them this next effect will come into play my question is, how far does this effect goes to, it does not mention of where it is working, nor for how long, my guess in time is for the turn it was summoned, but where the effect reaches is what I question, if it makes all cards basically become normal cards with no effect regardless of where they are at, normal summoning one could be a win condition in itself, if you can get the conditions to win (having enough attack to go for the kill), since neither you nor your oponent would be able to activate anything, forcing him to eat the attack, at least thats my current understanding, I tried to search for rullings but it didnt mention the part of my question of, where its effect start and end regarding negation also if there is a way to normal summon in your oponents turn, Slifer could be far better as an engine stopper since the effect deny all effects of all cards, but not game mechanics, in theory, the only thing the oponent can do is Normal Summon, Trubite Summon, Syncro Summons, Xys Summons, Pendulum Summon and Link Summon, Fusion monsters got the short end of the stick in this deal since they either require their own effect or a spell/trap effect to be activated, but that also means that if the monster effects require them to be summoned in a specific way the God cards deny that part too, making some summonings easier... in theory (you can set up all the needed effects before summing the God Card you can still reap their benefits, as long as they are lingering basically)
I feel like Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes should be on the list instead of Exchange of the Spirit. She may be hard to get out, but her effect does win you the duel. I know that inflicting battle damage with 1 monster three times isn't the best win condition, but it's better than some of the other auto win cards. Not to mention she's more than just an auto win, she can become a strong beater and she's unaffected by other cards, so that alone makes her better than some other auto win cards. Also, you can use cards like Battle Mania and Savage Colosseum to force your opponent to attack into her so she'll gain her three counters since she just has to inflict battle damage and doesn't have to be the one attacking.
Yugi - dark magician Joey - flame swordsman/time wizard - baby dragon Seto - bewd Mai - Harpie Lady Pegasus - toon world/that thing with a penis in its forehead. My perspective after rewatching the 1st season on netflix after 18 years without playing.
A fun counter to Last Turn even if they have Jowgen the Spiritualist on the field: Side in Regenerating Mummy. It was easy to do in GOAT format. Last Turn adds a special Battle Phase, but doesn't get rid of your Main Phase or Battle Phase. They activate Last Turn, Regenerating Mummy adds itself back instantly to your hand, and then you kill Jowgen the Spiritualist.
I debated whether or not to try to make an F.A. deck because of my connection to auto racing... F.A. Winners convinced me to! Still have a long way to complete it, but it's in progress.
What about number 88? “Once per turn, if you have no cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, and if you do, place 1 Destiny Counter on this card. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. When 3 Destiny Counters are on this card, you win the Duel.”
Make video about, card that have the same effect, but one of them done it better. Like pot of greed and reckless greed. Both draw 2 card, but pot of greed done it better
I just got FTK’d yesterday by a turn 1 summon of Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia followed by them ending my turn in response to my first draw so the alternate win condition played out. TBH, I’m still not sure how it happened. Wonder where that would place on this list
Just always been curious; why are you allowed to activate Last Turn while Jowgen the Spiritualist is on the field, while rulings are different on cards like Protector of the Sanctuary and you can’t, say, play Card Destruction? Or send Anti-Spell Fragrances to play Magic Planter? These inconsistencies are really why I’ve stuck to casual play in Yugioh. Agreeing upon rulings that make sense amongst your friends is just easier..
Last Turn is a top-10 card ever. ≤1000 LP and requiring a specific monster on the field is a hard needle to thread when your opponent knows you have it, but it straight up wins you a Duel that you had no right winning otherwise.
One of my favorite combos using Last Turn was to Tribute Summon for Winged Dragon of Ra using Scapeghost, then, with its Tribute Summon Effect, I'd go down to 100 LP, then I'd use Last Turn to force the opponent to put up anyone in their deck against the Winged Dragon of Ra with 7900 ATK, which I would always win. Even if Last Turn wasn't banned, it wouldn't work so well nowadays, given the amount of potential draws and workarounds, but it was oh so satisfying.
Sacrificing the 3 Egyptian Gods to summon Holactie has got to be one of the biggest power moves you can do In Yu-Gi-Oh.
Especially if you already used Sphere Mode to get rid of 3 of your opponent's cards. I mean, how much overkill do you need?
The Yugioh i like and love
To add extra salt, Normal Summon Ra and activate it's effect to gain Atk x)
Probably only to beat zorc or maybe zarc
When your opponent has apoloursa, ultimate falcon, and dragun of red-eyes on the field, they deserved that overkill
When they put Holactie in Duel Links it would be played. You can summon all 3 god cards in one turn if you got the right deck set up. Hell, there is a video on RUclips of a deck that can summon all 3 god cards in one turn and get the win.

zoodiac also helps a load with any rank up and rank down spell
DuelLog even has a Ghostrick Utpoia deck and just use rank up and rank down spell, Probably wouldn't work now tho.
if you summon time thief redoer and have mystic mine on the field all you have to do is draw a rank down spell and then win when he has 8 materials which is easy to do since he equips a card from your opponent's deck during your turn and your opponent's turn.
Yeah the utopia rank up and down is hilarious
I love how my first thought when he was explaining how to bring out Ghostrick angel of mischief in that combo was “Six Samurai could probably pull that off” and then he brings up Gateway of the Six. Now I wanna try that
Like insanely easy too. Would just have to do normal combo for infinite counters. Go into heraldry Crest, do a 4 mat bamboozling, summon a ghostrick alucard, use bamboozling eff target heraldry, use heraldry effect target alucard, xyz into angel of mischief for game
Jackpot 7 is currently really easy to pull off
Summon 2 warrior monsters -> isolde -> isolde effect -> slap 4 equip spells into the grave to summon burglars -> give to your opponent -> isolde link summon to linkross -> attack burglars with 2 tokens and linkross -> win
super fragile since you basically lose to any interruption, but it works :D
Was gonna update my jackpot 7 deck but linkross got banned :(
*laughs in banlist*
You could probably still pull it off with the Auroradon combo (minus Coltwing) using Infernobles to get Isolde and Halq on the field. It's more difficult, but on paper it seems do-able.
Get 2 Warriors (Sublimation Knight with Squeaknight work here) -> summon Isolde -> Use said Isolde to mill 4 equip spells for burglars -> give said burglars to the opponent -> summon Halq using Isolde and Renaud (probably the best option considering you can use its effect to summon from the hand while you have Sub Knight on the field) -> Use Halq to summon 001 -> Use 001 and Halq for Auroradon -> Auroradon summons 3 tokens which you use to attack Burglars and win
I've seen Infernoble variants use 3 of each of the Igknight pendulums for searching, so you could utilize that to search Sub or Renaud.

For the F.A. players, I hope they unban Ancient Fairy Dragon

One of the things about surrending with Victory Dragon, that wouldn't really work in the OCG.
Apparently, in the OCG, your opponent has to accept your surrender. So you can just deny it and attack to win the Match, which I think is a big factor in it being banned there and everywhere else.
They need to unban it.
but they can't they lose the duel intentionally by flipping the table? instead of dying to the Victory Dragon?

I do love how, essentially, the entire game is built around the most iconic combo.
What I love about Destiny Board support is with Dark Sanctuary you no longer have to keep your back row clear. So you can play 2 destiny boards at the same time getting 2 letters each end phase
Does that really work?!
@@teodagreat It USED to. Now the ruling is if you run 2 destiny board, they'll both start by searching for Spirit Message "I".
@@Devourlord ah I see. Thanks!

You can still win with Exchange of the Spirit, you just have to win the coin toss with Fiend Comedian
If your opponent has a monster mash deck you can do it with big burn too I believe
Can't you just summon Crooked Cook and activate it?

Back when I played Yu Gi Oh I LOVED the fact every deck had a different gimmick... I also love the recycling of "rubbish" cards in different times and contexts
I mean there are many decks who dont realy have a gimmick like hero for example
There’s a broken draw card I used to exploit the crap out of and that was “hope for escape” or something like that but it requires you to pay1000 life points to draw one card for every 1000 life points your opponent has as a difference. When used in an exodia deck it was op when combined with cards like gift card or upstart.
The only LP that matters is your last~
(14:50) Funny thing is with how many cards allow both players to draw 1 card these days, I have found Appropriate Exodia extremely consistent - once you learn the timing for Appropriate anyway.
Heck, with Temple of Kings it is actually a strangely consistent FTK Deck.

It DOES work like that and that does open up some interesting options;
For starters just spells and traps that can become xyz materials suddenly help a lot more. Example is use her effect to get a Renovation, and then the following turn use it again
Exchange of the spirit was so broken. I remember when it came out and this dude filled his deck with every draw engine that existed at the time, and one copy of that card. It was a surreal ftk.
It had a stupidly high success rate.
Damn it's really cool that it shows you each segment of the top 10 in the progress bar and they are even named
A fun fact about tournament yugioh:
You technically cannot surrender the duel unless you are the turn player.

A note on Ghostrick Renovation
If you summon Angel of Mischief on top of another Ghostrick card, you can use Ghostrick Renovation on Angel of Mischief to rank it DOWN, then use another copy of Angel of Mischief from your ED on that new monster, giving you five materials.

Odd-Eyes Raging dragon can destroy everything your opponent controls and attack twice .
Also if Rebellion uses his effect, and he destroys level 7 or lower monsters, he does 1000 damage for each one
late to the party but angel of mischief is way easier than you make it out to be:
first if all renovation doesnt make start out angel with 4 instead of 3, because you can just summon a ghostrick xyz->summon angel-activate angel effect->activate renovation to summon a ghostrick xyz on top of angel->summon another angel->reactivate angels effect, making it a 7 material angel in 1 turn by using 2 monsters with same level between 1 and 3 and renovation.
not a 1 turn win, but potentially 2 turn win if you got another renovation in the graveyard and you can keep angel on board for that turn, tecnically possible considering the stalling nature of the archetype, even if too hard in this day and age.
is it viable?
absolutely not, angel main purpose is to summon on top of alucard and dullahan to use them as material to search a magic/trap card from the deck while using the material effect to get a ghostrick from the graveyard. thats pretty much it.
does it even matter?
no, because the main win condition of ghostrick is to bore to death the enemy until they give up.
does this win condition work?
yes, if you are smug enough about it.
tl;dr
have i thought too much about ghostricks?
absolutely, but i love this archetype and one day it will be made great again goddammit!

Which is just logically how it should have always worked.

"All other card effects are negated until each player has a monster on their side of the field."

Hey DuelLogs, u can also special summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" using "The Winged Dragon of Ra-Sphere Mode"!
he's mentioned that previously. it's just not as good as just using the new support though.

Hey Duel Logs; do you think we'll ever get Holactie in the TCG? I want it just to have it. It was such an epic moment when Yugi summoned her.
question about the God cards, one of their effect is
When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated
Since their normal summon itself cannot be stopped, if you normal summon them this next effect will come into play
my question is, how far does this effect goes to, it does not mention of where it is working, nor for how long, my guess in time is for the turn it was summoned, but where the effect reaches is what I question, if it makes all cards basically become normal cards with no effect regardless of where they are at, normal summoning one could be a win condition in itself, if you can get the conditions to win (having enough attack to go for the kill), since neither you nor your oponent would be able to activate anything, forcing him to eat the attack, at least thats my current understanding, I tried to search for rullings but it didnt mention the part of my question of, where its effect start and end regarding negation
also if there is a way to normal summon in your oponents turn, Slifer could be far better as an engine stopper
since the effect deny all effects of all cards, but not game mechanics, in theory, the only thing the oponent can do is Normal Summon, Trubite Summon, Syncro Summons, Xys Summons, Pendulum Summon and Link Summon, Fusion monsters got the short end of the stick in this deal since they either require their own effect or a spell/trap effect to be activated, but that also means that if the monster effects require them to be summoned in a specific way the God cards deny that part too, making some summonings easier... in theory (you can set up all the needed effects before summing the God Card you can still reap their benefits, as long as they are lingering basically)
What it means is that you cannot activate cards such as solemn judgement when that card is normal summoned.
And then Kaiju exists
Horakty is the reason a wild monster appears says Original Level because otherwise you could use cost down for an ftk

I'm still waiting for the video of the best XYZs that require 2 materials to activate their effects

Can’t believe he didn’t mention the utopia rank up and down method to get angel of mischiefs effect
I just got FTK’d yesterday by a turn 1 summon of Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia followed by them ending my turn in response to my first draw so the alternate win condition played out. TBH, I’m still not sure how it happened. Wonder where that would place on this list
Ayyy my girl mishief appeared. I've been running ghostrick since they came out and I was Stoked when they got this card.
Was expecting to see Needlefiber on this
Just always been curious; why are you allowed to activate Last Turn while Jowgen the Spiritualist is on the field, while rulings are different on cards like Protector of the Sanctuary and you can’t, say, play Card Destruction? Or send Anti-Spell Fragrances to play Magic Planter? These inconsistencies are really why I’ve stuck to casual play in Yugioh. Agreeing upon rulings that make sense amongst your friends is just easier..
14:35 ahh the good old time of the Exodia mage
Love how Yu-Gi-Oh slang still uses "mill" even without the millstone bring there.
