    It took exactly 10 months to get my 2022 Maverick XLT. I ordered it with the 2.0 ecoboost, Co-Pilot 360, and XLT Luxury Package. Financed it through Ford Credit for 0.9%. Extremely happy with it. Took it on a road trip from Houston to Dallas with 500 miles on the odometer and got 31.3 mpg driving 70-75 mph.

Found a new 22 Ranger lariat Tremor with no markup that just arrived on an out of state lot. Reserved it and bought it later that day. Couldn’t be happier! I waited 1.6 years to get my Hybrid maverick and the day I picked it up the dash cluster stopped working, no clue how fast I was going and I pulled a fuse to reset it per a RUclips video and fixed the problem.I have 650 miles on it so far and its parked now because I noticed my company mavericks are crap. We have 15 in the fleet and I seen it all. From the engine revving full throttle uncommanded to the door stop when you open them lever breaking. We have 4 of them that the battery dies for no reason and the list goes on. These are first year trucks under warranty with less than 10K miles used in an aircraft maintenance environment. I'm selling my maverick soon. At least I will get my return on my investment. Thats the only good thing I can see. I wish this was not true because I love the idea of the Maverick in general. To bad its a failure in my book

      I forgot one thing. I have been weighing out if I should sell my 2023 Maverick in light of the dependability issues or to get the best factory extended warranty. Sure it's 3K to 6K but to me that makes me feel better about my investment but now the price point just took a leap. But for anyone that is thinking of buying a Maverick I think this would be a must. Also y ford dealership tried to throw in a paint and body protection warranty and said it's standard and I called their bluff. Bottom line don't fall for any extra warranty protection as a standard charge. I will never shop at friendly ford in Las Vegas again because of this scam they tried on me

    re. awd system, being fwd bias, is the 4w lock a locking center diff like suv's have, or more like a truck 4H but w/Fwd bias / reverse system ? What does that lock do exactly ? I actually like how suv and car awd systems work more than how truck 4H systems work.. not having that skip issue... I think it's better and good for powering thru mud and up hills (experience with my '11 Santa Fe V6 awd), having the rear lock as well on this is a bonus and why I am leaning towards a tremor over the fx4. Also, the trail control is not only for hill descent, but it's a forward/uphill crawl mode, to assist when accidentally over spinning is a negative ? And, if you can indulge me a bit more, can you explain what All the dif. modes do ? in detail. I am trying to find this info so I can compare to other awd/4x4 systems before deciding on which one I go for. Example, the Ridgelines system is pretty decent and manages to figure out tough terrain. How does fx4 and tremors modes diff. to Honda's ? I understand the basics of what they do, but more full detailed understanding would be awesome !! example, I'm curious do any modes, like sand, simulate being in a locking center diff. and give torque to all 4 wheels to fight up a hill with ice and all 4 are slipping ? Look forward to your input on this. I'm hoping to decide on a truck during the Christmas holiday promotions (if any are lower interest % rates to take advantage).

Canoes, kayaks, bikes, snowboards, surfboards, cargo boxes, 4x8 sheets, lumber, pipe/tube, and other things fit on the roof. Bikes, snowboards, and cargo fit on a hitch rack. I've towed motos, small boats, firewood, and a number of other bulky/heavy/dirty things.
      Your Bronco Sport has 500lb more towing capacity. It could probably even manage towing a MacGregor 19 powersailer cabinboat, while I have to use my wife's V6 SUV for something like that.
      What kind of MPG can the Bronco Sport manage with the cruise set at 55-65MPH?

    • @northcarolina1993
      @northcarolina1993 Год назад +1

      I had the hardest time deciding between the Maverick and the Bronco Sport Badlands. I ended up going with the Badlands because we thought it would be more practical to put the luggage where it would stay dry instead of in the back of a truck and need a cover. Additionally, I drove escapes from October 1, 2000 until December 16, 2021. I had a 2001 Escape and then bought a 2008 Escape. The 2008 Escape was incredibly dependable and running gray until it got totaled by a guy running a red light. My Escape had over 280,000 miles and had the original engine, radiator, alternator, timing chain, and a few more original things. Water pump changed at around 250,000 miles, oxygen sensors changed for the first time with 278,000 miles, ignition module changed at about 240,000 miles, and the rest was pretty much tires, brakes, oil changes. The bronco sport looks more like my 2008 Escape than the new escapes do. The Bronco sport can be dressed up a little more than the Maverick. For starters. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm still surprised that no Maverick can come with factory fog lights. One disappointment of the Bronco sport is a low towing capacity compared to the Maverick even though the same engine.

    Some of those hybrid orders will be dropped because some of buyers are hybrid or nothing. That may free up some 2.0 units for sale for those who want them.
    Ford is using the Maverick as a loss leader. It is in the line up in base hybrid form to get the corporate CAFE number up. Once they get past a certain number, they have served their purpose. They don’t need to make little money on extra sold units.
    Hopefully, other compact will come into the market so Maverick has more competition.

    Sorry. but its too early to tell if that powertrain (Engine and trans) will be reliable. 2.0 had its share of faults early on (Coolant Intrusions) and it can have many more as makers tweak things when they put them in new models. Also, that 8 speed transmission isnt all that great either as many Ford Escape owners claim needing a new transmission between just 21,000 miles and 80,000 miles. Yes there are some with over 100k but time will tell. My Ford Escape transmission grenaded at 34,000 miles. Got it back and traded it in same day. Bought a Equinox 2.0T and thats been flawless since.
    Ford quality in general has been going the shitter and their 2022 recall numbers prove that. As well as the number of recalls on the Escape AND Maverick during their short time being out/remodeled. Escape 10, Maverick 4. Including the so called "Reliable" powertrain. J....U.....N.....K.

      The 2.0l has been out for over 10 years. How many years do you require. I agree some have had problems but the motor is known to be generally very reliable especially after the coolant issue was resolved. My only worry is the newness of the 10 speed and yes time will tell
