  • Ergobaby or Tula, what are the differences? Which one is best? I get these questions all the time and the first thing to acknowledge are they are both owned by the same parent company so there are actually more similarities between these two brands than differences. But there are 3 main differences which may make one more suitable for you personally than the other. Here I compare the Ergobaby Omni Breeze and the Tula Explore and go through the differences and similarities in detail.

I found the velcro tabs on the egro digs into my hip bones at the largest setting 😢

Ah I am sorry to hear this... Carriers are alot like jeans different brands fit different people and so sometimes a particular carrier just won't give a good fit on some bodies. Although in general the waistband often sits more comfortably on your true waist rather than your hips so raising the waistbanf and ensuring it is tight so it doesn't tip down at the front onto your hip bones might really help. Check out my video on 3 reasons your carrier is giving you back pain (also on this channel) for more explanation on why and how.

Have your tried or have an opinion of the ergo alta carrier (or carries in general with the little seat for baby)

This helped me finalize to to get tula since you get lumbar support too, kinda annoying its seprate charge but at least they have it! almost went with ergo. But i love the rental option too before finalizing. Im a challenging customer im 4'11 but plus size

I am so glad it has helped you! If you would like to rent you can do so here... sheenslings.com/product-category/hire/
Based on how you describe your body then yes tula could be an option... I'd also consider KahuBaby, Manduca XT or the Lenny Hybrid as these all have fantastic flexibility of fit and are ones I have seen work on others with similar proportions. Also not the Tula lumbar pad often doesn't make a huge difference but it also works on any carrier not just Tula.

Thank you for the detailed review! Would you have any recommendations for a carrier for a petite person? I am only 5ft 2in, so I am really struggling to find one that isn't too bulking and is comfy while still supportive for my small torso. Thanks!

One of the best for small torsos is the KahuBaby because baby sits lower than the waistband giving you more space. Another option is the Beco Gemini but I'd say the Kahu is the one that often works the best. I have reviews of both on this channel and on my website sheenslings.com (and hire both out if you wanted to try either before you buy). Best Madeleine

How do I get in touch about renting? I would really like to get one of these but picking from these two is so hard as I likes from both. We use the starchy wrap but at 6m it's getting much harder to use. Really unsure what the best to use.
