so glad i found this! i zoomed in on the text to the left of the chart- this is about what color the dye will have wet while processing, not the rinsed and dried end result. it says the results will be the same, but will appear different during processing. instead of going on dark, most will go on clearish and develop close to their end result color. before they would go on dark and look very dark before rinsing off. its so you can now watch the dye development in real time and know when its done.
@@curlykendra5677 there’s still a 7A “medium cool blonde” and “9NA” light natural ash blonde”, you can mix those 2 to get a cool 8 if the 8N is too “neutral” for you and you really want cool tones. I actually used 6N for just 15 mins last time and that looked pretty good since the colors seem to run “less dark” now. (Working on a video on that right now stay tuned). I think next time I would try 7N or 7A on its own. Or maybe even mix those 2 together.
@@shannonmesenbrink3745 no, if you pause the video when I show the color chart you will see that 7A is not darker than 5N. The old 7A used to be darker than what it is now. Now it’s more “true to color” that you would expect for a 7A.
Thanks for your video i was actioly confused i use demi 7wg also and its meduim sandy gold and i was confused and looking for activation lotion the old one im afraid to purchase the new one because i was looking the old one that i been using before
@@MrsEvaH you’re welcome! I know what you mean. 🙄 It’s so frustrating when you find something that works for you, and then the brand changes it… I’ve been able to get good results with the new one I showed in this video though! I think the colors changed more than the activating lotion. I think before they just called it “activating lotion” even though it was always “developer”. Like it’s more of a marketing/branding thing than any difference in product. It looks and smells and appears exactly the same.
@@walkerskii thanks for the “unsolicited advice” haha. You’re not the first person to suggest this to me actually. I just never really looked into it too hard because (1) I was worried it would be ridiculously expensive as many car things are. (2) I had a friend whose car could not pass their inspection for too dark windows. But that’s a really good point about the air conditioning plus it’s kind of like sunglasses being built into the car. I will look into it again. Gracias ❤️
@@marenmakesit Thx for taking the time to reply, you are a sweet person! My biggest stop for you was privacy , Pretty girls don't like people staring into their car when they pull up next to you at a stoplight haha! Price? Ya you definitely want a few estimates, I don't go with the most expensive quality tint, I figure the cheaper tint is fine, cuz you're probly not gonna keep that car forever (altho Corollas do last for 30 years!) It's funny you said "sunglasses on your car" I've thought that too. Once I tinted the front window, but regretted it, cuz I couldn't see at night, so I don't do the front anymore, but my son likes his front window tinted with clear. Now I just do a 6" tint strip across the top of the front window, that seems to help, especially if driving directly into the sun. Don't forget to put tape over your window buttons, cuz the tint needs 24-hours to dry
@@marenmakesit last text I promise!!!! That's why I go with 'light' on passenger & driver door windows & medium in the rear, so you can see at night & don't have trouble passing inspection. If you are ever to get a tint ticket, it's cheaper to pay the fine & leave the tint, than to strip it off, get the ticket signed off & then pay to have them re-tinted
Hi, thanks for a great detailed video, this is my 1st time using wella, I did not realize that I would need a 10 volume developer 😢, I only have 20 volume developer, I suppose I cannot use the 20 vol. developer if the color calls for a10 vol. developer? 🙆🏻♀️🧐🫣😳
@@amer-inkan2026 you are correct! To get these results, you need a 10 volume. If you use the 20, you’ll get some lifting/lightening going on in there too and the results will be much harder to control.

What toners will you now use since they no longer have a 8a? I’m not sure what to use now to cool down my highlights. Maybe 8n?? 🧐
