i wish this dude had more credit like this is actually useful information dude
I wish RUclips tutorials were a thing when i was learning as a kid

Earlier i thought that dropping in was pretty easy. I didn't watch any videos on how to drop in yet i went to a skatepark and tried... Well i wasn't leaning forward enough and hurt myself pretty bad. So my tip for beginners would be not to underestimate that trick and learn it properly. Great video btw!
That is excellent advice, I only wish someone gave it to you before you got hurt 😖
I kept on thinking that it was so easy, cause i'd watched videos. But then when i first tried i fell a bunch of times and i still can't do it.
Dropped in my local halfpipe today i was skating with some friends and a very good skater , everyone skating on their limits and then bam dripped in first try
Tetyieitye
For real tho, happened to me, fortunately I didn't get injured. What happened to you, did you break something?
You rock! I can push around confidently but only have baby ollies down. These videos give me things to work on to progress.
Thanks 🙏🏻 !!
Looking forward to week 3
I had a penny board for a week that I found on the side of the road, thank god I found it. The day I found it I tried to skate and it was actually quite fun and 4 days later I found myself at the skatepark ready to ride. I saw the first video of this series and tried them, sadly I could not do many because of how flimsy the board was. I placed an order for a Element complete and started riding better than ever. That was 1 year ago, I am now improving tons every day. Thank you man, I am now amazing and have a new hobby.
I think doing a backside shove-it on grass is a good one to try that's easier than ollieing. I still remember one time back at the skatepark with my dad watching and at one point he got on my board and was able to pull off a shove-it while on the grass like a boss, and he obviously knew nothing about skating and couldn't ollie.
Can’t wait for week 3 skate tricks!👍😉
I've included these in my regiment, thank you.
This is a great series. Keep up the great work, Justin!
Dude, it's literally 100°F (~37°C) every day here in Texas haha, it's so brutal! How's the weather in Australia?
Very nice way of explaining things. Great channel!
This is amazing 🙌
Amazing video tbh, I've learnt all of things from week 1, now going to master week 2
Love these videos keep up the great content :)
Thanks dude!
Happy new year Justin! 😊
So ready for week 3!!! When is it coming??
This actually helped me so much
Great vid man, bin skating for like a month now, but still these tips are gonna help me. Gonna watch the week 1 after this!
samee dude i'm about a month and some change in, good luck on your journey mate!!
Thx you gl to
Early, thanks for the help!
Great video Justin! First video ever that I can do most of the tricks! Lol. What park or parks did you film at? Keep the great work man. 👍
great advise as always. Wondering if you ever thought about doing 10 beginner street tricks? Just to show that you don't always have to be at a skate park to actually skate.
This is a good idea, I'll keep it in mind!
Love your channel so much. When's week 3 coming?
Still doing that videos. You're amazing man !!
I appreciate that!
Hey I Just wanted to know when the next video is because I NEED IT!!!
thanks man, this really helped me!
Glad to hear it!
truly the goat
🐐😝
fun stuff thanks :)
Frontside kick turns are so much fun when you get them on lock.
I agree!
hey man. awesome video. i was wondering what you think on skateboard deck brands. whats a "good" all around brand for skateboarding.
Yeah I'm glad he said something about tic tacing...that's self momentum like swivels in ice skating
i just realized you have 100k, congratulations
Well thanks so much 🙂
you got snap?!?!?!?
learning how to fall - so far, the 3 or 4 times I have wasted I have been basically stationary and the board has taken my feet out from under me and before I know it I am on my ass but my elbow normally huts first. Just as the bruise heels, I get another swellbow. Must start wearing my pads more.
cant wait for skateboard giving
What knee pads and helmet are you using in this video? Thank you btw for the tips bro :) Good Information!
2:46 i used to do that down small hills
Ayyy round rock and brushy parks
I’m really haveing a hard time switching to normal from mongo pushing any tips.
I’v already watched his pushing video but it’s still tough.
Hi I just starting to skate and I dont know how to stop properly. Also close to my home there are a couple of down hills and I want to make sure to learn how to slow down safetaly a higher speeds. I am running soft wheels. Any advise or how can I practice ?
Boneless looks easyest to me, i'll try it out
Can you do week 3
I got my Ollie and learned the basics really easy in the first two days and now I don’t know what to do
180s and some 50 50s or Board slides
And practice your ollies
Now master the moves. Ollie as high as you can ollie over stuff while riding just get comfortable to ollie anywhere n just. Practice everything you know till another trick interest you
holy fuck u have no fear lol it took me 2 years to attempt my first ollie on tar which i got frst try
Now I'm waiting for the week 3 :○
Yo! Are you from Austin? I was researching some parks to visit when I’m in town and they all look very familiar!
Yes I am! The parks in this video are in Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, and then 1 clip from the Wells Branch park in Austin
@@NeverStopImprovingSB just getting back into skating and your videos are really helping me out! Thanks man!
What should i do if my skateboard is creaking?
I just got ollies down thanks to your video, but when I try to ollie over something I kinda do a half kick out and my board clears the obstacle and I have my back foot on. What should I do/
Its just committing. So force urself to stay on the board
How long have you been using this skateboard?
is it easier to kickturn on a ramp? sydney is in lockdown right now, so i can't access a skatepark, and i've been really struggling with even backside kickturns.
I would say, learn on flat, then on a low bank and then on a ramp, ramps can have whippy transition making it hard to do. The best advise is just get really comfortable on your board, cruise around as much as you can and your balance will really improve. Also if you are doing them stationary on really smooth floor that can be really hard when first learning. You will get them, just keep skating and it will happen!
What kind of knee pads are those? Look very compact, I need one like that...thanks
They're called Smith Scabs
Wouldn't an easier way to practice fakie be to just roll part-way up a ramp or back and forth in a small half-pipe? That's what I've been doing. Good stuff either way.
💯K
Is it possible to learn some of these tricks on a cruiser?
All of these tricks were invented on a cruiser.
Should I get a nice ollie to go to the skatepark? It scarys me that I might interrupt the people if I stay just skating around :(
As long as you have fun, do what you want and keep up improving. Just don't cross the path of others and you should be fine ;)
@@derschwede8803 Thanks bro! Tomorrow I'll go to the skatepark :)
@@felipelunap, did you go?
I can ollie holding onto something but I'm so scared if I fall
Dude, where is new videos?))) Let's get it on!
Am I wrong about front side and back side? Turning towards your front should be front and into your back should be back?
I see how that would make sense too but it's actually opposite! The way skaters think about it is when you turn frontside, you're turning so that the front of your body is facing forward during the turn (and vice versa). The way the whole thing shook out ended up being quite complicated and almost everyone has messed them up at some point so nothing to feel bad about
@@NeverStopImprovingSB Yeah man you have them backwards throughout your videos, I just watched another few to confirm, if you approach a rail with your back facing it and Ollie onto it it's a backside grind, front side moves are more appealing/intuitive to beginners, back side turns/tricks are scarier because cant see what's in front of you while turning towards your back, front side moves are always facing forward, sorry to be the bearer of bad news bro 😅
I just bought a new board but the wheels are pretty slow? I bought it from skate hut and have ridden it for a couple of days but the wheels are very slow, can anyone help?
Are your bearings very good? That could keep the wheels from spinning long.
I'm no expert by any means but I got some new bearings and it was great.
where is the new videos?
whats the diff between fakie and switch?
The way a skateboarder stand on the skateboard. Example would be a goofy stance with the left leg on the tail and the right leg where the front truck is. Just go back wards with this the legs in this position instead of riding forward.
Same goofy stance now put the front leg or right leg on the skateboard nose and the back leg left leg on the back truck. Now roll the same direction as the fakie and this is switch. It's a matter of putting your legs on the tail or on the nose.
idk if skating is for me i couldn’t do a moving ollie after 7 months and just had no more motivation
There's so much other stuff to do that don't require an ollie!
i had never in 2 years attempted an ollie on hard ground not holding something or on grass and my first ollie i landed it first try just go for it
Hello,
I'm currently developing a website about skateboarding for Japanese people, and I was wondering if I could embed your RUclips videos on it and use some clips from your videos.
Best regards
Ryo
That's OK with me. Post a link please.
@@NeverStopImprovingSB
Thank you for your cooperation! I am working on the website now and will have it up within the next month, so I will let you know when it's up!
Yeah and boneless tricks are fun at any age I do boneless tricks more now cuz they are fun
Nice video, Justin Lauria 😑
Love the way his first piece of advice was helmet and pads and he never wears them 😅
Definitely an oversight on my part that I wish I could go back and fix!
@@NeverStopImprovingSB Ah well you could just say to wear padding appropriate to what and where you're skating, you're performing basic comfortable moves in a low risk though flat environment, bowls or vert helmet and pads all the time, skating to the shops maybe just a helmet, anyways appreciate all the advice 👍
I tried the ollie,I can't get the back wheel if the ground
Can I get some advice
@JoelTheJokester thanks I'll try that
Today I dropped in on a quarter pipe for the first time!
sweet! that’s my next goal
Awesome job!
@@NeverStopImprovingSB Thanks dude!
@@geologyrocks5329 It really wasnt that hard all you have to do is just commit and try not to think about it too long!
@@gavinfoote_Music_Surf i attempted a few times today but only managed to start 3/4 up lol, i’ll try again next time :)
Early
I will tell you in every video to always wear your helmet and some pads, however I will never wear them myself.. 😂😂😂

Hey dude, sorry about the lack of uploads lately, I am OK, been wrapped up in some other stuff lately. Be back soon!
Switch not fakie stance
has no one realise he has lost his hair through the years?
But I made that fun video about it!
