I bought it. Software updates have helped, but there are too many issues with this headset. Hand tracking with the wrist trackers is practically unusable. So much lag and latency. Often not picking up the most crucial movement: the pinch. So it is a pain in the apple to use with those. The controllers work much better after the last firmware update, so there is progress. But HTC seems to have some fundamental misunderstands about UX and GUI design. I am really hoping they are pulling through and taking out the full potential of this device, but it feels like it was released prematurely. HTC should really, really do some strategic UX software engineers recruitment.
If that's your line sure but as I said, I literally experience no difference between having or not having that depth sensor. the pass through experience was the same..
I’m receiving mine soon, I had a hp reverb g2 v2 previously and it was an amazing experience way better then with the quest 2 up until the screen went black in the middle of gaming for no reason. Rip g2 :( I can never go back to the quest so hopefully this will be the new way to go. Sadly I already bought the xr elite before watching this video so we will see. Ps idk how you made this video/audio but it seems like it’s ai generated. But that might just be your style.
lol it's a developing style lol as I am still learning the in's and out's of video creation. Last I checked though, I'm still a living, breathing human. :) :) With any luck, it will suit you. I have seen those who do like it. either way, appreciate comment :)
HTC Vive needs to figure out a way for users to modify face cushion or provide alternative form sets for different brow, nose and head sizing - Headset comfort on one's head and nose is imperative.
agreed. While I'm not a fan of the FOV, specifically the vertical on this, if they had nailed the comfort of the facial interface for everything you mentioned, I might suck up the FOV and use it some. lol
@@gordontechreviews Everyone I know who got one has sent it back as its just not good enough, I found as you said its designed for the Asian market not people with Roman faces. When wearing the one I had (and returned to Amazon) I could see the lettering on the diopter rings as I couldnt get the lenses close enough to my eyes. Then HTC announced the cost of the additional battery packs a mere $199 yes far too much. Again HTC nice try but a fail.

Thank you for testing the fov angles, they should definitely be more descriptive online
Love the info (and the small snowman!) Great video
no depth sensor on quest pro is a deal breaker , same goes for pico 4 too!

Typical HTC VR lately, overpriced tat.
