    I just picked up a Quest Pro today from someone for $375 while I was wearing it. I was watching your video. It is awesome. I have a Quest 3, so I was comparing, and really, it isn't that bad. I just ordered some Silicone Grips with the Straps for the Controllers so I can make sure not to drop these beautiful things. I also ordered that Global Connection Head Strap. It got nothing but great reviews saying it is so comfortable. I almost ordered this Full Light Blocker shield you have until I saw how much they wanted for it. $50, oh, he'll no. So luckily, I have some Extra Silicone Face Covers from the kit I bought for my Quest 3 and simply slipped them over the Two Magnetic Light blockers on the side to create one full piece. Heck, yeah! It works great! I am always down to save some money. I know why I bought a Quest Pro when I already have a Quest 3. Well, at that price. I couldn't help it. I appreciate the video. Note: I was disappointed I wasn't able to play First Encounter on the Quest Pro due to not having the depth sensors. What a shame. It would be neat if they took advantage of the eye tracking feature and made it act more like the apple vision Pro. Letting you just look at what you want to pitch instead of moving your hands all the time. I mean, it has eye tracking. You might as well use em make em functional. Right! 👀😉👌😁👍

      Yessss I wish they used the eye tracking like that and I’m so glad you got a deal for $375 that’s literally insane. That makes it soooooooo much more worth it ! Like literally I’m kinda jelly I paid way to much for it🥹but it’s whatever. I’m so happy for you! It would be cool if eye tracking can work like apples but I don’t think it’s as accurate as the vision pro I tested my eyes in vrc with lasers and it’s and great for close up things but the further you look the less accurate it is. Get VRCFT and play with face tracking avatars you’ll love it!

    The problem is the Pro is an upgraded version of the Quest 2, not Quest 3. It's crazy how they still released this and the Quest 3 blew it out of the water. My theory is that Meta wanted it out in the wild to see how developers responded to it, but even if that is the case, how they marketed it was horrible. I need it for a face tracking project so I've been watching info videos about it, thanks for the review/autopsy!
    Mayyyyybe I'll take it for a spin in VR Chat when I get it, I've never played it before.

    I can't choose what to buy: Quest Pro or Quest 3. I really want to use the face tracking (with eye tracking) and the AR festures. But the Quest Pro has a really bad cameras in comparison with Quest 3. It's a really hard question for me

    That is the only reason I'm looking at Meta Quest Pro. Is there anything better than it? And then there is Meta Quest 3 for superior specs and gaming such as Mixed reality but it does not have eye tracking or facial features (Lip tracking). It would be more first time stepping into the VR world so I'm not in a big rush to get any of them yet I'm just seeking the latest and best ones right now.

      I don’t know much about those headsets to comfortably have a opinion on them. But if you want full eye and mouth tracking maybe try looking for a Quest Pro in your area, I've seen some legitimate sellers offering it for $675-800. While I personally find its performance as a standalone headset to be subpar, its value shines when connected to PCVR. The built-in pro controllers, along with eye and mouth tracking, make it a worthwhile purchase, especially given its compact form factor. You can legitimately start with face and eye tracking at around $800. If you can find the right seller plus I know some of them are really trying hard to get rid of the quest pro and get the quest three so I bet they legitimately would let you even test it out and try it out to get a full opinion on whether or not you should buy it!

    I've been on the fence about buying a Quest Pro. My two big questions are does the face tracking work in VRChat if you avoid signing in to the meta ecosystem? With my Rift S, I get prompted to sign into a Meta account when I start up VRChat. But I can ignore the prompt and continue using the headset via PC USB. And does the eye/face tracking work while wearing glasses?

    Hey there,
    is face&Eyetracking supported in VRChat using the Pro natively/standalone?
    So is there a way to use face&eyetracking with the quest pro without using a PC and how hard is it to find an avatar supporting this as well?
    Many thanks in advance for some advices

    • @HakariKimura
      @HakariKimura  9 месяцев назад

      still right now the only way to get face tracking to work on quest pro for VR chat is with using a PC and running a background application called VRCFT.

      Well quest pro finally has tongue tracking. It’s only in an out but at least it has some form of tongue cracking. It works over virtual desktop. It’s currently broken for oculus link but it will be patched. I say go for the Quest Pro because there’s less maintenance and it’s all built in the headset and it’s a smaller form factor.

    Quest 3 much better for gaming bur 99% of the time I only play VRChat and combine that with the new body tracking update, that makes the Quest Pro still unreplaceable for the moment.

    There is another cheap alternative and that is Pico 4 Pro. Half of the price - a bit more than Q3 but very well balanced headset. Controllers are bigger but fits good in hands. Also pancake and color pass is a bit better i think. The resolution is a bit higher than Quest Pro.
    There is still good chance for some 3rd party addons to add to Q3 for eye tracking (exists for Q2 already) and hopefully later mouth too. Finger tracking is coming too for 2 fingers, which i will order it ahead. Q3 sells allready for millions, so it needs some time to see more 3rd party solutions for Q3.
    But yeah... IF Q3 has both built-in, it will awesome one. But it will also bring the price higher and not everyone needs it. This is positive for sales too, not everyone has a lot money for it.

      Yes it’s still very niche atm 😂 maybe Q4 will have it to go up against Vision Pro 🧐

    Quest Pro? You're a "PRO" and need more subs. I'm shocked you've only got 6k. Pin me when you hit 10k+++
    As for the video. I'm still waiting on the Valve Deckard and praying to the God of Gaming Gabe (knowing valve not holding my breath) although the Vive Focus 3 (ready player one), Vive XR Elite, Quest3 are tempting... I must resist...

    bro I think they made it for corpo conferences and meetings and shit. It's not opt for gaming, and the price tag and face tracking clearly speaks it out. I am using Q2 and looking to get a Q3 asap, but to be completely honest, I know that real VR has no headsets. It sort of a mix of brain to machine interfaces / implants and stimulation frequencies. Like hallucinations, or matrix. Mfs be buying gear and treadmills and chests and whatnot lol, because they treat VR as an entertainment thing. The only thing you have to do is to convince the brain.

    • @HakariKimura
      @HakariKimura  Год назад +3

      Yes Ik but if Vr was to be like a NeuroLink we would all be lost and actually be slaves to the matrix 😂 but yes ik as I said in the video I only bought it for face tracking for vrchat . And it’s honestly worth in that aspect for me 🙏🏼
