@@hyperchordBecause these movies are westerns like The Good The Bad And The Ugly and Tarantino's The Hateful Eight these movies need more recognition Silverado is one of most underrated westerns from the 1980s and Young Guns 1 and 2 are the best because these movies really need a audience because they are westerns have you seen The Hateful Eight?
These films were my north star as a young kid growing up in rural southwest Montana, still watch both at least once a year. They definitely take some liberties but in a lot of ways they stay closer to the true story than many other Hollywood westerns dealing with historical events. And while not perfect, Billy the Kid seems to have been more of a good guy than a lot of other western outlaws.
These are legitimately 2 of the best westerns I've EVER seen... They made us love a murderer and a gang of criminals like brothers. Lou Diamond Phillips as Chavez is specifically incredible
The opening to Young Guns 2 is one of my fav movie openings along with Rocky 2. Just in terms of grabbing you, the music obviously plays a big part - you're sat there thinking wow this is gonna be soooo good.
Thank you so much for this. I wish my mother was still alive to see the new Young Guns movie, that is coming out. The two Young Guns movie were her favorite.
these two movies were a big part of my childhood. Loved the entire cast and it makes sense that they were close on set, it shows on film. Lou Diamond Phillips seems like such a cool dude, and everyone always has super nice things to say about him.
Lou is a good guy. I met him when the Movie BATS came out. He was very cool and genuinely smiled when I said YG/and YG2 were on my top 5 fav western movies and he was my fav in them
I saw YG2 on vhs years after release and LOVED it, especially the music. Then I watched YG1 which I liked but YG2 is the one I bought on bluray to rewatch. the MUSIC in YG2 is SO good!
Young Guns is a movie on my watch list now! I feel like when I was a kid I may of seen it, but it sure as hell wasn't no kids movie. I know that I've at least heard of it. A third movie sounds like it's way overdue and after all this time that would be really amazing to see happen!
This movie has a lot of sentimental value to me, not only are both movies great , but YG2 was the first movie that my mom and I went to together. Mom is no longer here anymore, so this movie reminds me of a better time
Another keeper in your dvd collection. Glad there's a part 3 coming soon. Bring all the characters and actors back to life like part 2 was just a tall tale ;)
YG2 is also one of the best sequels EVER.. when Jenny wright rides off on horseback naked and says y'all can kiss my ass that's like one of the best scenes ever
This is one of the movies I grew up watching non-stop. IMO this is one of the first films where the sequel was even better than the first. But Tombstone is much better western.
This is one of my favorite Emilio Estevez movie alongside Repo Man featuring Harry Dean Stanton. Joblo do a WTF happened video on The Outsiders You guys are awesome
First saw this at an outdoor theater in Bahrain leading up to Desert Storm. EVERYONE, from privates to pilots, was reenacting the pose where they point their guns at the camera (you know the one) but with 1911s and Berettas in place of Peacemakers. I know because I was usually the poor guy asked to take the picture....
I totally forgot about that! We used to watch Young Guns all the time... I totally forgot how Kefir Southernlands character got Asian Fever in the middle of their great adventure! PALS!
If there was a movie to warm the market for westerns, Young Guns was it. Not many westerns in the 80’s, Silverado bombed and The Man From/Return To Snowy River movies seemed under promoted but earning more than expected. Young Guns 2 is good but contrasting it to the first respectfully puts it at ok. There’s so much more being stuffed in and not to its disadvantage, but Young Guns kept a fast pace and 2 seemed to drag a little.
OMG! The Man from Snowy River?!!! And the amazing sequel that did an even more incredible ride - what a hit of nostalgia your comment is! As the tagline for the series says: There was more than one Wild West!
Thank you for this. So many questions of mine have been answered. Love the western's from that time in the USA. Purgatory with Eric Roberts is great too. Can you do a story on that movie? Please?
IRL Chavez lived into his 70's I believe. So I could see him coming back...Doc did too actually. Maybe not his 70s but they both lived. Arkansas Dave though...idk how he is coming back
I was about to disagree with your initial question, but I actually did the math and realized that Lonesome Dove doesn't qualify. It only missed by about two months.
Sean Penn could have been a better choice as at least he looks awfully a lot like William H. Bonney with his longer face, I'm adding that to my list to watch that version when dimensional travel is commercially available.
Your not gonna mention that Billy the Kid was a dim-witted, syphilitic greenhorn that back-shot or ambushed all the men he killed, outside of the first wich resulted from a gun accidentally discharging while he was losing a fistfight?
Yes! The 90s had Tombstone, but the 80s had Young Guns and the epic sequel Young Guns 2!!! I worked the box office at a movie theater when YG2 came out...the lines were around the block on the weekends for weeks!! Both are such great movies!! Thank you for doing this vid! ❤️🎬👍
I cannot tell you the number of times my friends and I have quoted these movies. They are definitely up there with "Tombstone" as the most fun and quotable Modern Westerns. "Hey Doc!!!! Did you see the size of that Chicken?"
Estevez is an underrated filmmaker. Over the years he's quietly amassed a respectable filmography of small, character-driven films, usually buoyed by a social conscience. They're not bombastic, they're not going to blow your hair back, but the ones I've seen are solid films. A few are even pretty moving. What also stands out in my memory is they're all prototypical films-directed-by-an-actor, visually unremarkable but jammed with excellent performances. Like many actor/filmmakers, Estevez seemingly has no problem directing his colleagues. Paired with the right DP, a "Young Guns" film directed by Estevez could be really interesting.
We work for Mr. Tunstall as regulators. We regulate any stealing of his property, and we're damn good too. You can't be any geek off the street. You gotta be handy with the steel if you know what i mean and earn your keep...Regulators!!! Mount Up
Who wouldnt love Young guns specially when you see a cowboy walk by on a bar, tip his hat then ask yourself who that was then realize thats no other than Emilio Estevez Emmilllioooo! Emilllioooo!
❤❤❤ Hey guys... We here in Brazil love the actors who are part of the Wonderful film Young Guns. But, the actor who stands out most to us is LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS. We would like to know, when the film Young Guns III, will come to Brazilians screens. That Hugs there. Congratulations. Marisa Pereira de Arruda Editor-in-chief of Sports Brazil ❤❤❤
Doc’s (Kiefer Sutherland) death scene is so beautifully done in Young Guns II. Moving and courageous. With the love/hate soul brotherhood between Billy and Doc going back to the first movie. And for it to end this way, Doc sacrificing himself so Billy and the others can make a run for it.
I realized this about two months ago, but "Young Guns" based on the antics and life of Billy the Kid, is actually what would happen if you took the Batman's Joker, and placed him in the old west.
There are two confirmed photos of Billy the Kid, but the second is taken at a distance of a group of people playing a game. These two are my favorite westerns of all time. And the made for TV movie from TNT A dollar for the dead is also in the top five. If you want a young guns 3. Go see Dollar for the Dead. It's Emilio in another western.
In production I hope this true last I heard about guns 3 there was a rights issue I do want a third film I love the first two and Emilio and Billy the kid
Today's cast. Still as good today. My son and I watched them last year and he is 21. He thought they were awesome. Being a Western, they are timeless.
These are my two favorite westerns. I have no apologies to give for that.
Silverado, Young Guns 1 and Young Guns 2 deserve a bigger audience.
Why?

I'm giddy talkin about this series! Guns 3, u say? TAKE MY MONEY!!! 😆🤠💯
The Blaze of Glory album is still a favorite. ❤️🎬
These are legitimately 2 of the best westerns I've EVER seen... They made us love a murderer and a gang of criminals like brothers. Lou Diamond Phillips as Chavez is specifically incredible
🎶 "Shot down in a blaze of glory!"
Omg.. Emilio is even working on a Young Guns 3! Hype!!
The opening to Young Guns 2 is one of my fav movie openings along with Rocky 2. Just in terms of grabbing you, the music obviously plays a big part - you're sat there thinking wow this is gonna be soooo good.
Also you got to love Arkansas Dave and Billy arguing about whose gang it was. This whole cast did a great job.
I recall that ongoing argument being the basis of the MTV spots. That and the Blaze of Glory vid on a virtual loop.....
Thank you so much for this. I wish my mother was still alive to see the new Young Guns movie, that is coming out. The two Young Guns movie were her favorite.

I saw this In the theater when I was 10. Emilio will always be Billy the Kid to me . Everyone else is just imitating.
YOUNG GUNS IS SOOOOOO UNDERRATED. IT’S A FUN AND MASTERFUL WESTERN.
The Young Guns movies are 2 of my 50 favourite movies, out of the 1,000+ movies I’ve watched. 🤗
I also really enjoyed the Three Musketeers movie with Charlie Sheen
Kiefer Sutherland was also in three musketeers, as well.
Young Guns is a movie on my watch list now! I feel like when I was a kid I may of seen it, but it sure as hell wasn't no kids movie. I know that I've at least heard of it. A third movie sounds like it's way overdue and after all this time that would be really amazing to see happen!
Both are Absolute Classics but pt. 2 is superior than pt. 1
Two of my favorite movies
This movie has a lot of sentimental value to me, not only are both movies great , but YG2 was the first movie that my mom and I went to together. Mom is no longer here anymore, so this movie reminds me of a better time
Sorry about your Mother..I’m happy that you have fond memories of her though..🙂
❤ both Guns movies. I'd love too see a film based purely on THE LINCOLN COUNTY WAR. Fascinates me and THE KID.
Another keeper in your dvd collection. Glad there's a part 3 coming soon. Bring all the characters and actors back to life like part 2 was just a tall tale ;)
"It.s 100 against 5!!"
"Regulators.....Mount Up"
Both good films
YG2 is also one of the best sequels EVER.. when Jenny wright rides off on horseback naked and says y'all can kiss my ass that's like one of the best scenes ever
"you who, I'll make ya famous"
Watched them both last month agin classic can’t wait for guns 3 . One is on prime two had to buy on Apple TV
This is one of the movies I grew up watching non-stop. IMO this is one of the first films where the sequel was even better than the first. But Tombstone is much better western.
The intro of the movie reminds me of the Magnificent 7.
Both YG movies are very good. If you're a Westerns fan, ya gotta watch 'em.
I love these movies.
Young Guns is the 'point break' of Westerns, and that's not a bad thing, this franchise just had a certain style.
Damn right I'm lookin forward to 'Old Guns', (aka) Young Guns III...!
This is one of my favorite Emilio Estevez movie alongside Repo Man featuring Harry Dean Stanton.
Joblo do a WTF happened video on The Outsiders You guys are awesome
"Hacking" on the new director could be very dangerous 🤣🐴🤠
Young Guns is epic
Was it one of the best Westerns of the 80's or was it one of the best films of the 80's
First saw this at an outdoor theater in Bahrain leading up to Desert Storm. EVERYONE, from privates to pilots, was reenacting the pose where they point their guns at the camera (you know the one) but with 1911s and Berettas in place of Peacemakers. Emilio Estevez looks exactly like his dad now
Thank you for this. So many questions of mine have been answered. Love the western's from that time in the USA. Purgatory with Eric Roberts is great too. Can you do a story on that movie? Please?
I can't watch the second Young Guns because they play Blaze of Glory way way WAY too much. Now it's in my head. Goddamn earworm.
Like most Bon Jovi songs :)
Great video, good job. The movies were alright.
You guys you guys see the size of that chicken 💯
Ya beat me to it, I just about to mention that!
Hey you guys!! You see the size of that goddamn chicken!!! You guys!!!??
IRL Chavez lived into his 70's I believe. So I could see him coming back...Doc did too actually. Maybe not his 70s but they both lived. Arkansas Dave though...idk how he is coming back
Hey! Can you guys do a video on MAVERICK the western with Mel Gibson? That is also a very underrated western! Thanks!
George better come back. If that was his silhouette in the ending of 2
I was about to disagree with your initial question, but I actually did the math and realized that Lonesome Dove doesn't qualify. It only missed by about two months.

Tim Blake Nelson's Old Henry (2021) sorta answers the WTF happened to Billy The Kid after that hotel/brothel room incident with Pat Garrett.
💯
For many years, I have wanted a Young Guns video game. I always thought both movies would make a great Co-op Shooter.
❤😊
Did you see the size of that chicken?!
Your not gonna mention that Billy the Kid was a dim-witted, syphilitic greenhorn that back-shot or ambushed all the men he killed, outside of the first wich resulted from a gun accidentally discharging while he was losing a fistfight?
This was our generation's Lonesome Dove. The younger generation isn't going to be able to sit through this. Just saying.
Why do you talk so weird? Like waves of breathe or something.
Never understood the young guns movies. My stupid friends always liked them but i always thought they were ridiculously horrible.
C'mon !! ....I like them but they are not even in the same dimension of 'Unforgiven' 😂
Casey (shimasko) is how its pronounced

Bobby, The Public,...🙂

Young Guns II was a great follow-up, and almost as good as the first. But one of the best things about YG2 was the Bonjovi album Blaze of Glory!
2 over 1 all day for me

Billy the Kid, the real Billy the Kid looks like Cleetus McFarland.
The real doc Skerlock survived the events of the yongguns movies
Just watched em over easter weekend one of the most fun movies I’ve seen
For historical accuracy, fine Chavez lives, but they totally implied he died.
We saw the great horse and everything.
Yeah not sure how you bring back Chavez. He seemed hard dead to me
Both are great films, with a great story, great cast, and the music and cinematography are great... Great Westerns in my book!!!

No.
They need to be left alone.
The 'Young Guns' series needs more love from Hollywood just as much as Ashley Biden needs more love from Creepy Joe.
Didn't like the first one as much but have to say as a young kid the second was my first western film experience I remember the VHS cassette and all
Arkansas Dave RUDabaugh? Did you even watch the movie?
In production I hope this true last I heard about guns 3 there was a rights issue I do want a third film I love the first two and Emilio and Billy the kid
Aahhh I watched Young Guns II at least a 100 times in my teenage years 😍😍😍
'Similar to Top Gun maverick...so the same film then
anyone else think they should just call the new film Old Guns?
I need to rewatch 2. Seen the first one at least 10 times.
Secretly two of my favorite movies
I just bought both of these a month and a half ago
If you like young guns, I recommend you watch dollar for the dead which also stars Emilio estevez
Yes! Cool flick with John Woo style gunfights
Today's cast.
The Kid-Barry Keoghan
Doc- Paul Dano
Dick Brewer- Joe Keery
Dirty Steve-Wyatt Russell
Chavez-Xolo Mariduena
Tom O'Folliard-Art Parkinson
McCloskey-Joseph Gilgun
Pat Garrett-Scott Eastwood
Charlie Bowdre and John Tunstall I'm not sure on anyone as a standout.
Alex Mcsween- Ethan Hawke
Susan Mcsween-Winona Ryder
GOV. Lew Wallace- Emilio Estevez
Buckshot Roberts-Andrew Lincoln
Pauline Maxwell- Jenna Ortega
Brady,Dolan and Murphy I'm not sure on yet either.
Great cast! Keoghan would be a great Billy. Same for Xolo as Chavez
@@JoBloOriginals I'm a huge fan of what went on. I'd love too see a new film based on the war.
I love ensemble westerns.
Such a gem of movies
