The best scene from Young Guns is when Billy calls down to the sheriff. Billy: "Hey Peppin!" Peppin: "I'm hearin ya Bonney." Billy: "I see ya got Charlie Crawford down there with ya." Peppin: "Yeah, we got a whole bunch...." A shot to the head takes out the man standing next to Peppin. Billy: "Hey Peppin, Charlie Crawford ain't with ya anymore." Billy's maniacal laugh gets me every time. lol It would have been funny if Billy named another guy near the sheriff and that guy gets scared and runs away.

I like the second one best, but that's mainly because I have a soft for Petersen and Slater, they're always entertaining. The other main reason is because it hits the ground running because we already know most of the star characters and their back stories. That awesome Bon Jovi song helps too!!!
I'm a bit of a novice Western historian, and always loved Billy the Kid, but not just the legend, or even the real man, but the countless (mis?)interpretations of his life and story. I have not seen all of the films/shows, but all that I have seen just goes to show how legends are born. Truth can be received without fully being understood, and sometimes a simple shift in perspective can recontextualize an entire event or story. I love that there is still so much passion in telling this story, because honestly, you can tell it a hundred more times a hundred different ways, and it's just as interesting as the first time.
What great memories of both YG I & II. Me and 2 other friends of mine were reenactment actors from the New Mexico Gunfighters got hired to do some stunts for the movies. Got a picture with the autographs of crew that played the parts of the regulators. The fun times on the movie set and the adventures we had will not be forgotten.
In 1990, while I was in the US Army, got deployed to the Persian Gulf with the 1st Cavalry Division. Young Guns 2 had just came out, in August I think. In our initial staging area, there was a natural depression in the desert next to the Persian Gulf shoreline that had a big flat cliff face; kind of a natural amphitheater. The Division, or at least a big part of it, was mustered there one night where they projected Young Guns 2 onto the cliff face, with speakers surrounding the top. That is one of my favorite memories from my early life. Plus, Judas Priest had just come out with Painkiller, which in my opinion was a great soundtrack for that war
❤❤❤❤ Hello friends JUST WESTERNS. We are a team of Sports writers and Togheter with or Edtitors and Directores from our National Agency Brazil, with great honor, we are interacting with you, to congratulate you on the YOUNG GUNS Film article.... All the actors who are part of it, they are extraordinary, but the biggest higlight for us Brazilians is, without a doubt our Icon LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS. We have already wact watched several films woth him. We thank the film LA BAMBA witch made him an actor and filmmaker who revolutionized the entire generation of international cinema. Congratulations Lou Diamond Phillips! Congratulations to you too. Hugs. Marisa Pereira de Arruda Editor-in-chief of Sports Brazil ❤❤❤❤
Hello Marisa! You are right. Lou Diamond Phillips is a wonderful and talented actor who continues to do amazing work on screen. His speech in 'Young Guns' is very powerful and would have been too difficult for many actors to do convincingly but he did it perfectly and you believe every word he says in that speech. My wife and I loved watching him play our favourite character in the recent TV series called 'Longmire'. I hope I get to see him in many more roles.
I was 13 when the first one was released and saw the second YG in the theater. I remember being a bit sad at the end of the second. Had a very final, sad, loss of all the regulators almost feeling. I really wanted a third, but some of the best movies to date. Emilio was amazing as the kid. All of the actors were. The first guns had a more raw feeling like you were really there experiencing the events. The second was more polished and mainstream, but was still excellent. Really how they make the third.
OMG. I love this film. I also love the new TV show simply called Billy the Kid on Sling. The new actor has a fresh take on the character I think most will appreciate.
Both flicks were dope. The casting changes were clutch. I can't imagine anyone else as Billy. These were two of my favorite movies as a kid. My generation were the last ones to play cowboys and indians in the 90's i think lol.
I didn't think I'd learn anything new but I really did. Great video. The first one is my favourite. I watched it recently after a decade or so. Still knew every line. Estevez played Billy as a sociopath and it was quite a thing to watch. The first movie has much more heart simply because of the Charlie Bowdry character. Learning that the woman was meant to be his real mother...wow! The main criticism I have is the slo mo in the finale and the point where it looks like Chavez pushes Steve off the horse. The second one is good, but the tone is so different. I don't watch it over and over. However, I do like the cheeky scenes where Billy's in jail awaiting trial.
Growing up in the 80s, I very quickly learned to see movies the critics panned, and avoid the ones they loved... A rule of thumb that still works to this day 😆
the part with billy on his horse backwards "hey did you know we're in the spirit world". The whole peyote sequence was epic and hilarious!!!
Did you see the size of them God damn chickens!!!
No one could have played that part better than Estevez.
That's one of my favorite movies . I've seen it countless times . In fact I'm watching it after this video .
With the span of 34 years between the last movie released in this one what is it going to ride a wheelchair

Masterpiece. 1 & 2
"smile, I'll make you famous!" man that movie still in my favorite western, with Tombstone
Not being a normal western movie is why I like it so much.
I loved Doc. He was a gentle, romantic soul stuck on a violent world.
This and Repo Man are Emilio's greatest roles.
No. "Wisdom" is his best work. "That Was Then This is Now" and "The Breakfast Club" are right behind.
Watched it over n over
One of the best movies ever made
One of my favorite movies.
Now you guys have Poatan, Alex Pereira!! 🗿🗿🗿CHAMA!!
Amazing movie, great soundtrack.
I agree. Once upon a time in the West is my favorite movie too! I remember when it came out 80s, I was kinda young It was a great movie too
I love a good western and IMO this one is near the top of my list.
I remember riding my bike to the movie rentals to watch this over and over! Loved it! The 2nd one as well!
Young guns was a great part of my childhood seen both movies dozens of times. Maybe more. Loved them.
Love that movie and Young Guns 2 even better!
These movies are so friggin fun. Hoping the 3rd one gets made.
Growing up in the 80s, I very quickly learned to see movies the critics panned, and avoid the ones they loved... A rule of thumb that still works to this day 😆
