I like the fact this this person playing was so inclined to make room in his inventory for that red plant like his life depended on it, as if the 10+ first aid sprays and plant mixtures in his inventory wasn't enough already lol.

Yep, two knife slashes on the lower levels for him to go away, and about 8 after he transforms to fully kill him.
I ended up in a glitch that worked to my favour, he almost knocked me off the roof and when I came back up after using the button prompts, he fell into a corner, twice lmao. So all I had to do was just keep slashing away and that was it🤣🤣🤣🤣
It seems like a mistake at first until you realize the whole thing with Leon and Krauser is fighting with knives.

I think this is my favorite boss in the game, just a 1v1 soldier to soldier. You can go guns, knife, explosives, so much versatility in how you can approach it and I feel bosses like this aren't too common. Another example would be the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst in Bloodborne, just a brutal death match between two Hunters.

They put so much emphasis on Krauser's knife during the game, but it would be the last weapon you'd think using against him in this fight. Turns out it's his biggest weakness. Capcom at their peak with this game.

Okay this is a funny story, few years ago we used to have this game on the GameCube and one of my younger sisters was struggling to fight against boss. Then, my youngest sister came in and just used a knife to beat him, yes...only a KNIFE and she doesn't know how to play this game too. My sister Kelcie and I were shocked that our youngest sister, Cassidy, beat him with only a knife and has no experience playing Resident Evil 4. Truly, our minds were blown.

And I wouldn't want it any other way, the tank controls in this game are perfectly designed and if they make a remake and give it the same 'moder' third person shooter contols that every game has I'm going to be very sad.

@@raccoonbigg the game was built around them so the enemies wouldn’t charge at you giving you a chance to headshot and knock them down with a kick to knife them to death. I think it’s the best balance between the tank control style of the first few games and then 5-6 and revelations. But hey, I get where you’re coming from. I just personally love it.

It's strange that Krauser actually is very resiliant, yet so easy to drive away. According to the info decoded from the enemy stat loader file, Krauser has a whopping 10,000 health during his guerrilla warfare battles with Leon in the ruins. He takes a whopping 1000x per weapon hit, taking as little as one hit to the head from the broken butterfly magnum.

This boss fight in vr is hella fun especially with the knife as you can dodge the attacks and then attack krauser in the facial area to stun him and make him run.

For all the people complaining about the knife, I'm pretty sure he wanted to show an epic fight, not end it with a knife in 4 slashes...
However, even with guns he seems to be doing ALL the wrong moves…
Proper gun fight method should be shooting at Krauser's legs so he would lower his guard before you hit his wide-open body, not keep shooting at his arm's"fan" guard…
And why in the hell would you throw a flash grenade at Krauser is really beyond me… obviously not understanding the proper way to use flash granades in this game (only for stunning regular ganados or for the ones that also shows fhe parasite heads).

I Never was able to target enemies smoothly like that using the controller. I always felt like playing as Robocop. After more than 10 years getting frustating in this game because of the controller, i managed to play RE4 in the Wii and i fall in love! Playing with the Wii Remote made me finally enjoy this game and play everything in this amazing game.

Making the knife this effective at this point of the game (near the end, and against a boss) was genius. The knife fight cutscene between Leon and Krauser was a hint to this lol.

Extremely wasteful. By far the best weapon against him is the knife, it only takes 2 slashes on the lower level, and about 8 slashes after he transforms. You can save yourself a ton of bullets just by slashing.

I could swear the "original" Krauser had a mutant arm with a eye on his shoulder (that was his weak spot), he charges and attack with the arm like a "sword"... but nope, it's a "shield" thing... I guess I mixed up Krauser, Sadler and Wesker, lol memories can be volatile
This fight takes like 5 minutes just using the knife. The funny thing is that they hint a it in the cut scene where they first knife fight. It took me a while to realize that was the best way to kill him.

I've tried it...guess what? It really worked! the fight could end less than 5 minutes if you manage to hit krauser over and over again till he died
Well, I don't know if you avoid using the knife against him on purpose (it makes him much easier than with the guns), but you are not half bad at dodging him and using the walls and windows to avoid him. Pretty impressive.
(Tho that item management is frustrating. Come on, leaving a flashbang behind is not THAT bad 😅)

I'm just not seeing why they would need to remake it, it's modern enough. The RE1-3 were low resolution and blocky, but RE4 looks fine. I personally wish they would put the resources in to something like Code Veronica that would benefit much more from it.
I dunno i'm pretty hype for them to remake this, why not? They may do code veronica in time as well, i read somewhere capcom is all in on doing more RE remakes.

Easy win.
Throw a flame grande at Krauser's position and open the inventory before it hits the ground. Select the rocket launcher, and at the exact moment you go back in the fight, it would explode and stun him momentarily. Then with that opportunity, aim the rocket launcher at him and there you go.
Fun fact Krauser is played by Jim Ward who plays Captain Quark in Ratchet and Clank. He's also on Fairly oddparents
