    Coleman’s is very popular in the U.K. what I love is that I can freeze the meals afterwards and batch cook for my children. The best Colemans packet mix is the cottage pie mix.

    It seems Brit's and Aussies put corn in dishes that most Americans, at least in my experience, wouldn't. I agree with Tim, I definitely would add peas! I would also add onions and celery, but that's me. Here in America we have tuna helper, a boxed seasoning mix that includes the pasta but you add the tuna. I do my own tuna casserole without packet mixes. A lot of people use cream of mushroom soup from a can in their tuna casseroles, which are usually called tuna noodle casseroles. Egg noodles are often used in place of pasta. Thanks for a different type of video, always great to watch you guys. 🌼

    Looks like what we call a tuna casserole. But I would have added more cheese and definitely added the peas. 😁

      @CheekyTam  3 года назад +1

      Oh my goodness the peas haha yes so many people love peas. We thought we'd give this one a go and and it exactly as they suggested on the pack but normally I'd be adding all kinds of different ingredients (but by that stage I guess it is best to make it from scratch LOL) Yes we call it tuna casserole here too.

    Thanks uncle Brian. Good job Chef Tim! Tam you did an excellent job of supervising. I like those flavor packets for pasta. Quick and easy and I would use way to much butter in the sauce if I made it from scratch. The sachets save me from heart disease. 😎💜

    Thanks Brian and Tim and Tam for giving that a go. Im in the UK but never tried a packet for tuna pasta so it was interesting to hear what you thought. Many years ago when i was just starting to cook for myself i used to get the chilli con carne one but once you learn your own is generally easy and better i think 🙂🙂 it was a good idea of Brians though and enjoyed seeing you making something as well as trying things 🙂

      I usually make a tuna casserole/bake from scratch and like to have a nice topping with some crushed biscuits, bread crumbs or whatever has some crunch and mix it in with the cheese. This one worked out okay but I don't think I'd have it again I'd prefer to make my own.

      Haha yes 200 cans come on over for dinner Mani plenty to go around. Yes home made and from scratch is always better in my opinion but at least this packet was simple and made Tim confident in the kitchen.

    So fun watching you two in the kitchen together. Tim, you're hired. heehee Tam, I'm with you...scratch all the way. I make a cheesy (cheese sauce from scratch) noodle casserole a lot. Sometimes I use bread crumbs and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I will crumble regular potato chips on top and cheese and brown it. Please show us what a normal meal for you two would be? Do you have a garden all year around?

    • @CheekyTam
      @CheekyTam  3 года назад +1

      I will say one thing for these Colman's instant things it was good to see Tim looking confident in the kitchen so I think for people out there that don't really cook it works well. No we don't usually do a winter veggie garden although we currently have 2 random pumpkins happening in the garden atm.

    I got this product from a local supermarket here in England a few days ago (Dec 2022) and it actually says 40grams of cheese and 40 grams of bread crumbs so more people must of said would be better with bread crumbs.

    Colemans is very popular in the UK. they are mostly known for their mustard. as it is the real deal. it is always fun to see Americans eat a tea spoon of it, as they think it will be like their weak hotdog mustard. first their face starts going red and then their nose starts running.

    Cooking things from scratch seems to be mostly a lost art in the US anymore. With most people having to work a lot in the US to live, I doubt many people have literal time to cook from scratch anymore unless they're more affluent, but in those cases, they probably have at least 1 servant to do it for them.

    Looks good but I have to stay away from packaged food since I am on a low sodium diet now. Only 1250 mgs of sodium a day. Read the nutrition label to see how much sodium is in the food you eat and how much of it you can eat per serving Sure does open your eyes. Sadly, no more potato chips unless they are lightly salted. I love salty snacks!
