You know, it wasn't really a part of the video persay but I'm so glad Ahmed Best went to Star Wars celebration and heard the crowd cheer for him. His performance was actually absolutely incredible. Not to mention he was always one of my Dad's favorite star wars characters. So I'm glad that he can at least know that he has fans and that people appreciate what he did.
It's terrible when people hate on the actor. Even though I hated Rose in The Last Jedi with the fiery burning passion of a thousand Death Star explosions, I would never hate on Kelly Tran. If anything, I pity her for having to attempt to play such a shit character.
The only reason Palpatine could not make himself completely evil was because he was a politician. And everybody knows that being evil creates a bad reputation for a politician.

Ian McDiarmid is a legend. He's a great actor and a down to earth guy off the stage. Meeting him once was amazing and he jokingly offered me a place as his new apprentice in his Palpatine voice 😂
In the mid 90s I took a tour of the Almedia Theater in London. There was something I couldn't place something about the person giving the tour. At one point he even asked me if I recognized him from somewhere. I admitted I did, but had no idea from where. It wasn't until over a year later that I realized, when I went to see the reissue of Return of the Jedi, as the end credits were rolling, that the man giving the tour, Ian McDiarmid, was the one who played The Emperor.
Iain McDiarmid is an absolute LEGEND. And I think that the little bloke is called Warrick Davies. He was the main Ewok. And Ray Park who was Darth Maul! "And I guess that's how it will remain..." Haha. aaäaä. I really do love Star Wars!

Ian rocks - sadly the mouse screwed his character big time - i shall remember him as the great evil one in episode 1 - 6!

In my opinion star wars didn't benifit from any from the sequals. They just seamed to mess preexisting things up like lightspeed, the force and the chosen one prophecy.
Kat Kennedy made him out to be a clown in the sequels. Thanks a lot, bozo.
You know, it wasn't really a part of the video persay but I'm so glad Ahmed Best went to Star Wars celebration and heard the crowd cheer for him. His performance was actually absolutely incredible. Even if you don't like the character he was great and gave the role his all. And I think people are finally starting to come around to Jar Jar.
@@Spectacular_Insanity couldn't agree more
It was a Honor just to have a talk with Ian mcdiarmid such a Amazingly kind guy for a Sith Lord⚡🙏
The only reason Palpatine could not make himself completely evil was because he was a politician. And everybody knows that being evil creates a bad reputation for a politician.
A surprise to be sure but a welcomed one.
You can see the emotion in his eyes when hinting at the return of palpatine. I loved the idea of him coming back, just wasn't happy with how disney actually executed it on screen
Wasn't this right before the trailer dropped?
man you can see tears in his eyes - he really loved palpatine & star wars.
you sir were the best villain ever - period.
UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!!!
Ian McDiarmid is a legend. He's a great actor and a down to earth guy off the stage. Meeting him once was amazing and he jokingly offered me a place as his new apprentice in his Palpatine voice 😂
The integrity of the Senate is absolute!
Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?
No
@@syahmishukri9820 oh probably because it’s not a story the jedi would tell you
@@syahmishukri9820 btw it's a sith legend
His voice actually made the character for me…it’s as recognizable as Vader’s.
Iain McDiarmid is an absolute LEGEND. And I think that the little bloke is called Warrick Davies. He was the main Ewok. And Ray Park who was Darth Maul!
"And I guess that's how it will remain..." Haha. aaäaä. I really do love Star Wars!
Palpatine: trolling Jedi into "striking him down" since 19 BBY.
When the actor makes you hate the character! He's doing a badass job😅

The passion in their voices when they talk about the series is amazing. I'm so happy that they were a part of this series. They deserve to be immortalized in film history!
I watched his career with great interest.
Met him at the Swiss Pre-Premiere of EP III and he gave me an autograph... such a nice and gentle person.
Darth Maul is one of my favourite characters. He is just, epic
Oddly, the emperor has become my favorite and most referenced character in life when it comes to Star Wars. Thank you sir for your most excellent acting and performance! I look forward to using your image via gif memes for decades to come.
I wish he'd done more movies. Great actor with an even greater screen presence.
Warwick is such a great host, so relaxed and natural.
"At last we shall reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we shall have revenge."
"You have been well trained, my young apprentice. They will be no match for you."
"I've met so many wonderful people - and all of you guys too!"
and Ian mouths "Always."
too sweet
George: Now hes dead
Disney: Allow me to introduce myself
Ik the vids about Ian, but I’m glad he kept the part in introducing Ahmed. It’s nice to think about the love he receives today after the years of suffering🥲
Most favourable character in StarWars: Darth Sidious : Two words he can say like no other =
RISE. GOOOOOooood.
You forgot "DEW" IT lol
I’ve been very fortunate to meet Ian in person three different times and to see him onstage on Broadway. I did a 10 minute virtual chat end of May of this year with him. It was a dream come true. He’s such a sweet, humble guy and he’s a phenomenal actor in every role he plays. I have always had a massive fan girl crush on him. Anyway, I highly recommend meeting him if you haven’t. You won’t be disappointed! ❤️❤️.
His performance in Episode 3 was outstanding. Every scene he was in was the best parts of the movie.
Oh my Lord, he looked so sad in that moment. 🥺❤️ Someone give that man a hug!
"The republic will be reorganized....into the FIRST GALACTIC EMPIRE!!"
Everytime when I see his face or hear his voice, it sends me a cold shivers up and down my spine. I can only see, Darth Sidious in his face.
A big compliment to Ian McDiarmid 👏👏👏
Touching video thanks for sharing Theory and praises to all these actors keeping Star Wars wholesome and in our hearts ♥️
I had the pleasure of working with him in 2009. He recorded a narration of an architectural visualisation of a project the university I worked at was preparing. I got sent to the architects’ office in London to record him. He was super nice and hilarious. He did a portion of the narration in his emperor voice too. ♥️
Ray Park's speech was so heartwarming
I gotta say, I know people were upset with Ep IX , but I so LOVED seeing the Emperor again; it’s a great movie.
Yo! You’re awesome! Thanks for the Star Wars content! Glad to see someone loves it as much as I do!
Him saying Jedi still sends shivers down my back. Fantastic actor! Definitely proud to say that he was part of my childhood.
The thumbnail reminds me of the “I need your help, son” moment from RoTS.
Ray Park was one of the reasons I took up martial arts after watching him as Darth Maul for the first time
I thought he was going to say:
"I have acting power, INFINITE POWAAAA."
I wish Ray Park was given more of performance with Darth Maul. The fight with obi wan and Qui Gon always gives me chills with the Duel of the Fates track
Honestly Ian Mcdiarmid is the one and only actor to play as palpatine his performance his amazing and so haunting there is no one else that could do it, he’s the best
Definitely my favorite actor of the film. Mostly because as a politician, he’s double dipping in acting
When he said “ironic”
That part
When he sort of cried at the end, I felt so sad. He loved playing Palpatine and it shows.
He better because he's great.
george lucas: no he's dead
Ian McDiarmid: I have died once before, The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be.... unnatural
It's a good nod to Episode 3 that he figured out how to cheat death.
I mean, he is a good actor. When he is acting, he becomes the senate and takes control of the senate and the courts. He is alive and well when he is acting, but he is so dangerous to be left alive. He basically dew it with style. He has unlimited power to defeat Samuel Jackson. When he talks, he always reminds you of the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise which no Jedi in the series would tell you which is Ironic to say the least. He loves democracy and the republic not going to lie. He ordered "Order 66" Just to remove fricking Obi Wan Kenobi from the high ground while riding a weird dinosaur. I mean Hello there, that guy is so op he is the bold one but he doesn't think so... Good thing McDiarmid ordered Cody to do that.

I like how he looks directly at the camera a couple times. He saw you and that's awesome.
I would love a Sheev series on D+, that would be so cool
awesome clip, thanks for sharing theory. I also really loved ray parks answer, he's awesome
I don’t like the way they wrote him into ep 9 but he IS Palpatine and has been since the 80’s.
