    I've seen a lot of goals scored from trying to delay. The defender delays and goes backwards and the attackers moves forward and instead of trying to take him on shoots and it's a goal in most cases bar the deflections and saves.

    • @Falllll
      @Falllll Год назад

      Yeah honestly the other thing that should be mentioned here is taking away options. You try to force someone to take shots from poorer angles, to cut off their ability to cross or to force them to pass rather than have a shot themselves. Rather than delay, what I was always taught was "contain."

    I always like to relax, please relax and train speed, if you have some good acceleration and they know it, they’ll be insecure to make a move, when going against really good forwards, they’re so quick to react to the slightest move since it’s instinct to them, I use my athleticism to the fullest, reading a player is everything, also most forwards don’t expect you to just rush them and get in their face, so most of the time you can buy a lot of time or they just freeze
