Firedancer is supposed to be out in fall 2024 or Q4 at the latest! Firedancer coming out in 2025 is a BIG PROBLEM!
To be fair, Solana is synonymous with problems. Horrible project.
It should be released with limited functionality end of 2024, don't expect crazy tps at that time, that will come in later upgrades, but having another client written in c++ will improve the stability a lot, chances of the rust client having the same issue as the c++ client at the same time will be almost 0.

Agree with you Rob about Sol problems/failure rate. Lately every time I try to use Birdeye/Jupiter I get too many fails. Keep missing important entries and exits, even on Limit orders which end up costing me. Frustrating af.
What exchange do you like better?
I’ll be honest I don’t fails on Jup and I use it pretty regularly
@@Sol_Bull well I like using Birdeye but afaik it is connected to Jup. It could be that the fails are with coins with low liquidity and high volatility but still, it's frustrating because I find myself on the losing end of trades sometimes because the Tx won't go through until I hit approve multiple times while watching the price change. Also I'm using Phantom so idk if that's the issue?
Simple swaps these days on Jupiter are usually pretty solid, have you set your slippage high enough?

To be fair, Rob is always pretty balanced, I appreciate him not sugar coating everything, Solana does have problems, as do all protocols, the Devs would be first to tell you this, but yes, still the most frictionless experience out there!
I've used Solana several times every day, haven't yet had a failed TRX, maybe I've just been lucky?

Phantom wallet simulation forewarns of fail transaction, just cancel and resubmit. So in that regard I never had a fail transaction either. Even if it fails you loose like what?!.. 0.01 in transaction fees at most.

no it’s definitely not time to load up on eth..if anything it’s time to pivot..greyscale has like 4 billion in eth..which they will promptly dump due to clients migrating to lower fees and some just taking profits.. eth is too slow to dominate this space in the future and the fees are mind bending
