Bonk saved me. Bear market and trying to leverage hollowed out my portfolio to levels I wouldn't even admit.
On 15 December 2023 I was goign through the scraps -- the carnage -- of my wallets, and, amid them, suddenly a HUGE was of cash.
"Huh? How?" I thought.... How did I forget so much money in a wallet?
And then I discovered the reason -- I'd bought Bonk right at the bottom -- I was up an outrageous amount.
I sold a chunk and farmed it out. My portfolio is probably up 300X since then from some other breakthroughs -- all because Bonk gave me ammo.
It felt like I've been fighting in Ukrain with a slingshot and whatever small projectile I could find..... and Bonk was like walking into an armoury and coming out outfitted like Rambo with the honed skills of a street dog living off its wits.

Excellent point Rob. Sell everything at the top, sit in cash during the bear, and start afresh in the next cycle. Big reset. Now, this is Bitcoin/crypto's first blow-off top of the broader real estate and economic cycle, which means 2 things for me: the parabolic phase will be stronger and/or last longer than what people think (could go as far as late 2025 IMO) and it also means that the next bear market for crypto will last much longer than the usual 10-12 months we have seen so far.

For me the best strategy is to buy your biggest plays lump sum at the bottom. Based on 4 year cycle and other indicators plus when you feel the most scared of the dump. Then top off the portfolio with the more risky plays the next year or so then the halving year work on momentum plays just to add the icing on the cake. Sell everything or keep some btc at the top based on 4 year cycle. Rinse repeat diversify to more traditional lanes aka real estate for passive income

I bought SOL at $22, but I hear what you are saying about people that brag about buying at $8. One youtuber that you know well, says he 'back up the truck' at $8. However, if you watch his vlog at the time it was $8, he was distancing himself from it like it was the plague. Now his tune has changed, sad really.
